It would be super cool if the remap could add a third riding mode, like Sport mode with the throttle response and all the good stuff, and kept the Road mode stock.

Dnk will sell a lot of these tunes. It’s the best mod available for the trident hands down. If your thinking about a quick shifter, do the tune first. The tune does quite a few things but it’s worth the cost for the revised throttle map alone. Stock map has 1st gear limited to about 65% of available output when the throttle is 100% open, second gear is something like 80% if I remember correctly (and thats at over 10,000 rpm it’s limited even more in lower rpm’s) that gives you an idea to how the performance is neutered form the factory. Stock I didn’t even like how the bike pulled away from a red light, it felt like it was a hurt puppy. After the tune no more hurt puppy, it’s punchy and eager to go. I almost sold my 2022 before i got this tune. It’s WAY better now.

Can we see the post-tune dyno chart? Before/after with AFR included would be nice to have before spending the monies.

I tried to link them, but unfortunately the file didn't want to play nice with the editing software. If you watch our post exhaust dyno run, the charts look almost identical with very slight changes down low. But those slight changes drastically improved the rideability of the motorcycle.

@@MotoMachines I still feel that the dyno operator was quitting short up top, as the bike has significant power limiting up top and we remove those limiters

Also their Dyno is a heartbreaker, when we were in the area, it was giving the lowest numbers.

Yep, seems very funny to me that I can't find a single piece of evidence on AFR changes pre/post a DNKTuneworks tune on any Triumph. I've been pondering spending the money for about 12months now for my 1200 simply for engine longevity on a my bike that has an opened exhaust/intake but remain unconvinced in two things. 1. The bike is running any more lean or at risk of preignition in an load/rpm range and 2. A DNK tune will do anything at all to address such an issue. Without a single piece of evidence I can find it seems almost remarkable that any educated person would part with their money for such a service. Add to this the below comment from Danielle (DNKTuneworks) suggesting the dyno operator was quitting short!? If you don't know what a redflag looks like - this is it.... why on earth would a dyno operator quit on a pull unless he was either concerned with an AFR, detecting knock or simply he didn't. Again happy to see some/any change in WOT AFR posted here or in another of your videos but absolutely absurd that DNK refuse to provide a single peice of visbible evidence on their product - relying 100% user community feedback alone - of which most have no clue what they're doing, what they're buying and a simply unqualified to provide an opinion.

Do you think I should get the ECU flash done for my Tiger Sport 660, seeing as it has the same engine as the Trident? Also I'm wondering if it's worth installing an aftermarket air filter, but I've read these can lower the engine's life?

It's your preference if you want to get more out of the engine. I have never heard of a filter decreasing engine's life.

changing air filter to high air flow means the gap or the holes in the filter is bigger, it means more particle will go in to engine they quote so it's up to you

Will the DNK Tune be worth it with just going with an DNA Airfilter an the stock exhaust?

We found the DNK tune to be highly beneficial and there is no affiliation here. Filter and exhaust will help but the tune will take it to another level.

what about fuel consuption after the flash?, is it higher, is the same? lower?

Fuel economy will dip as the tunes will add more fuel. Still worth it in my opinion.

Do you need a dyno tune in conjuction with the exhaust and the ecu flash? Or can the flash alone compensate for a full system like the Zard?

The flash is enough. Tuning options are either ECU flash or Dyno or both. The advantage to both is you get a damn near perfect tune for your bike specifically but that is often more money than people are willing to spend as dyno tunes are extremely expensive. If it were my money, get the ecu flashed and call it done.

So as of right now, DNK TuneWorks only provides the tune and you have to do it yourself. You'll have to purchase the required OBDlink MX+ separately. Then with that file and the TuneECU program, you can retune your bikes ECU. It is a rather straightforward process, BUT if you aren't a DIY person than I would recommend seeking help from a friend or just not doing it.

Enjoyed this video. In Australia the Trident 660 is only available as an A2 spec. Will this tune work with this detuned version? Any tips to get the A2 eliminator kit would be superb.

I am not sure if an A2 elimination tune is available or will ever be available. This tune would be specific to the full power ones.

@@MotoMachines ok thanks. What I’m trying to achieve in the future is to get the non-A2 throttle/ride by wire unit. Then a full power ecu tune will be required because the bike should then be an unrestricted version.

That's unfortunate. Our Trident has been pretty much faultless. But as with any truly new model there can be some lemons.

I second the mechanical issues comment. But triumphs warrantees are garbage anyway. Like your Jewish uncle they’ve always been the unashamed cheap ass type of company that actively tries to find reasons to void your warrantee.I bought the Dnk tune for my trident and it is the best mod available period. You need $100 worth of equipment to load the tune and 200 for the tune. Best 300 bucks I’ve spent in a long time. Completely changes the character of the bike in a good way.
