I find it cool that Wolverine and Professor Xavier are a rat and an evil frog in this movie. Hugh and Ian are excellent voice actors, they did a good job in this movie; put their soul in the characters, it's awesome 😀 I like the slapstick and the stop-motion is amazing. Flushed away is a fun movie! I rewatch it last week, had a great time!

Yea, this movie does reek of corporate interference but I do admire it for managing to get SOME of its own voice out. It’s at least enough to tip it into the ‘good’ category. The villain and his henchmen really steal the show for me. Ian McKellen is obviously the one having the most fun with his performance out of the cast as his enjoyment rubs off on the audience. Plus the henchmen are clever with their gags finding new spins on classic jokes. I admire the creativity of the setting and the attempts from the main story for something thoughtful.

I did hear rumours that Flushed Away was originally meant to be stop motion like the other films in Aardman's library but this idea was change to when they realised that a lot of CGI would have had to have been used anyway for the water in the sewer

Yeah. I think if the film came bout now it would have been achievable to do the film entirely in stop motion. Just look at Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.

I actually do like this movie quite a bit! One of Aardman's most overlooked films, with some fun songs for the soundtrack, a great voice cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Kate Winslet, and Jean Reno. Plus, the animation is pretty good, too! It's the classic Aardman Style but done with CGI! It's very interesting take on the clay art style commonly done in stuff like Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run. Shame that this was the last collab with DreamWorks Animation and Aardman...

I think I know why this film was done in CGI. It was 2006 after all, so I think animating all these boats on water and Roddy getting flushed would have been hard with stop motion.

I liked this movie as a kid, and despite it being way more than I remember it being upon watching it as a grown-up, I still do. It is however, the weakest Aardman movie they made with DreamWorks. The slugs were pretty funny, and the opening with Rodney doing a montage of celebrating being alone while Dancing with Myself plays in the background is pretty iconic.

Shame Flushed Away was the final movie Aardman and Dreamworks made before they parted. Aardman kind of went downhill after Flushed Away, I'd take Flushed Away over Arthur Christmas, Pirates In An Adventure With Scientists, Shaun The Sheep and Early Man any day

I think they are trolling. The "Pirates" movie is incredibly funny, as are the "Shaun" movies. No way I'd put "Flushed" above them. "Early Man" though was a bit of a letdown. Too much focus on football and not the actual time-period
