@@iMadrid11 to be fair Beckham would makes much more sense if Madrid didn't play him as a traditional Winger Because Beckham is not. He is a wide playmaker in Manchester United. He doesn't fit Real Madrid. Beckham ironically would actually fit Rijkaard or Van Gaal Barcelona who force a classic number 10 in to. Play wide position like Riquelme and Rivaldo

PSG should play Gueye, sign Renato Sanches, and play a 4231 with Messi at the CAM spot. Nuno Mendes at LB as he can offer lots overlapping Neymar as well as defending, and Hakimi can play RB with Gueye DM on the right side. Or they could play a 352

with Verratti and Wijnaldum in the middle, Marquinhos in the center of the CB and play as almost a DM/anchor, then Di Maria on the right. Messi on the bench. Not saying Messi is no longer good , on the contrary he is still good in what he does best. Problem is, he just doesn't fit the starting XI in PSG. Either Icardi plays in the center or Messi in the center and Mbappe on the RW while Messi as false-9 would be a better option.

Surely the most successful team in recent history is the 2013-17 real Madrid team and that was undoubtedly a galacticos team. And when the majority of city's starting XI cost over £50 mil it's hard to argue against them being a galacticos side too and they're arguably the world's best team at the minute.

Galacticos don’t mean cost man! It means stars that Madrid team and even the Barca team was a team! They assembled players that fit the position! Instead of bale there were options instead of benzema there were options(back than Benzema wasn’t the monster he is now) and the other players like Carvajal, Varane, Modric, Kroos and Navas there were options but guess what it was in that team they proved that those options mean nothing! It makes me feel like an idiot saying this now cause of what they have done but before that even Madrid fans were raging cause of how op MSN was! But that Madrid team changed it all! Galacticos means the best stars being brought together but that Madrid team despite being stars they were not hands down the best in the world they had competition especially when MSN annihilated them in 2015! But they become the best cause of the team! Not became best and was brought together!

Why would Florentino Perez sell Makelele for Beckham? No disrespect to Beckham but the DM for me is the heart of any team. We saw Kante's performance in the UCL final last season and Pep didn't start Rodri or Fernandinho and that was one of the factors that cost his team dearly. Thank goodness we ended up with Makelele!

That had nothing to do with Ronaldo. They won the league, the copa del ray and the Spanish super cup with him. They also reached the ucl semi finals, beat juventos in the first leg( with a goal from Ronaldo) but lost the second leg because two important figures got injured, Ronaldo and Makelele. The problem started when David Beckham was signed and Makelele was sold.

Real madrid had some great players in the early 2000s, zidane, raul, figo, hierro, ronaldo, casillas, roberto carlos, but ac milan was better and had far more squad depth. Rui Costa and Filippo Inzaghi were just on the bench in 04/05!
