I believe jogo striking power is severely underestimated here. Jogo took nanami, maki and naobito for easy targets, that was not his strongest blows, and the fighting against sukuna is evidence. I think jogo could be real trouble for hakari before he hits a jackpot. Once the jackpot is achieved, the tides turn in hakari's favor

I'm pretty sure you can't heal soul damage with RCE, Mahito was wondering if Sukuna would be able to but he wasn't sure himself, Yuta couldn't heal neither Todo nor Inumaki (which implies Sukuna's cleave attacks the soul) so i'm pretty sure Hakari's jackpot would not be able to heal him from idle transfiguration, although it is possible that jackpot with the insane amount of CE it generates could mean his soul is completely guarded with CE subconsciously while he's in jackpot mode, making him untouchable by Mahito

We don't know how good Yuta's RCT is. Even Gojo can't heal others like Yuta and Shoko so replacing someone's limb might be too advance for them instead of Sukuna damaging the soul.

Hanami is STATED to be more durable than Curse Naoya (who can TANK punches from Awakened Maki with not much damage), Dagon can tank attacks from PLAYFUL CLOUD TOJI and was confident in damaging him with the sure hit of his DE if Naobito didn't intervene at the last second to stop him, Jogo and Mahito INDIVIDUALLY can give Kenjaku a hard time (stated by Gege Akutami himself). Also, Gege stated that True Form Mahito can OBLITERATE Yuji, who tanked multiple punches from Hakari without falling to his knees. Jogo is way more powerful than Dagon, and got praised by Sukuna for being genuinely strong, even when compared to everyone Sukuna fought in the last 1000 years (including Heian Era btw). The same Sukuna who completely DESTROYED AND BLITZED Ryu Ishigori without even paying attention to him. Also, as fast as Naobito, who is BLATANTLY STATED to be faster than people like Yuki, Geto, Yuta and HAKARI... AND can damage 15 Finger Sukuna with Maximum: Meteor. Please, check the facts and stop the horrendous downplay of the Disaster Curses.

Hakari should be able to undo this soul percentage reduction, either by automatic heal, as it's not a shape change, or by cursed energy nullification, as reverse energy can disable a technique's effect

not exactly. RCT can not heal something like Soul Transfiguration, yes. However, what made this match-up insanely difficult for Mahito would be base stats and Domain clash. Hakari base, is already on a different tier than Demon-god Yuji, being fast enough to dodge multiple lightning-speed attacks from Kashimo. His attack power is that of a serrated bat thanks to his CE trait, so even if you can protect yourself with CE, it would still be devastating with every hit. His durability is also cracked (atleast against mahito). In his Jackpot state, Hakari has infinite CE. This infinite amount of CE may not be in terms of Output, but this amount of CE is so large that his body subcontiously uses RCT to replace cells and prevent his body from breaking. I'm pretty sure with that amount, his soul would be so protected by his CE that it would be impossible for Mahito breakthrough (Remember, Mahito even had trouble breaking through the CE defenses of even Nanami and Todo, so imagine trying to breakthrough a sorcerer with infinite amount of CE. This is something Mere didn't touch on). Domain Clash isn't even something to discuss, Hakari is already stronger than Mahito in this criteria Overall, Mahito is strong, but up against Hakari, it is sadly a low diff fight

If Mahito is in Base, he’s keeping up just fine, and if he’s in ISB, he straight up mauls him. I’m not sure why you brought up the lightning feats when you were talking about BASE Hakari. Now, Jackpot Hakari is definitively superior to ISB, that much is clear, but Hakari literally cannot hurt him and will not be able to stall Mahito out. Mahito is the same guy that transfigured THOUSANDS of people in Shibuya (1000 transfigured humans on the B5F floor alone) and it had a near negligible effect on his reserves, seeing as he could have a full-blown fight with Yuji and even use Domain Expansion before his evolution. Sure, Mahito won’t be able to tag Hakari with his hands easily, but he’s not getting outstalled, and Domain is a viable wincon for him. Hakari is at his most vulnerable during a domain clash - he cannot use Jackpot and Domain simultaneously, meaning the ONLY time Mahito is vulnerable is when Mahito is in a position where he can thrash Hakari. Also, against Todo (someone who’s soul is at 100%), he says “Can I kill him in one touch… *in the state I am in?* Mahito’s own soul health has a bearing on the effectiveness of his technique, meaning 40% Mahito was already in the ballpark of being potentially able to one-tap Todo. Hell, 40% Mahito one-tapped Nobara, so a healthy 100% Mahito is doing significant damage to Hakari with a single tap. “Muh infinite CE” is not a good argument unless you actually subscribe to the idea that Hakari has infinite CE ALL AT ONCE as opposed to just having an infinite source. Hakari is conventionally stronger and has better stats in Jackpot, but against Mahito he’s horrendously hardcountered.

Nah, the disasters slap. Let's say Hakari starts with a surprise Idle Death Gamble. Dagon can endure the durarion of Idle Death Gamble until its end, then respond with its own Domain, counter Hakari's domain, and likely kill him while the jackpot happens with the cursed spirits summoned by the domain. If Hakari's not killed, and the domain battle ends with a draw, Hakari has to go hand to hand with Dagon and I'm inclined to think Dagon manages to use its CT to end Hakari. Mahito can also endure the Idle Death Gamble, and not only that, but also counter with his technique (which Hakari cannot counter appropiately) or with Self-Embodiment of Perfection. Let's say Hakari enters a Domain Battle and doesn't die by Mahito's domain: the domain battle likely ends in a draw, Hakari loses the jackpot, and he dies. Jogo is very fast, the fastest of the Disaster curses, so he can easily dodge or escape Hakari's attacks during the duration of Idle Death Gamble (as Kashimo himself planned to do during the battle). After that, Jogo predicts the Domain, responds with Coffin of the Iron Mountain, a domain battle happens, and after that Hakari's left vulnerable and dies. Hanami loses. That's just if Hakari starts with Idle Death Gamble. If he doesn't and the disaster curses just keep their distance from the beginning, Hanami may even win since Hanami can keep Hakari at bay much better than the other disaster curses.

Choso said that he added finesse to how he fights and that he is stronger but didn't elaborate by how much or how he got stronger other than saying he improved his finesse. After shibuya the power cliff isn't as big as some people like to think it is. Characters like Yuji got stronger but we have no way of knowing by how much and people just ASSUME he is way stronger than them now. Which is funny considering all of the disaster curses were way stronger than him.

What's your Hakari Speed Scaling? That's the biggest factor for this match. I don't really buy the whole "Hakari dodges Lightning" because there's no motion panels to indicate he whiffed the Lightning in chapter 186 and he didn't attempt to dodge in ch 188. Plus that scaling would invalidate the Mach 3 thing Naoya had which Gege put emphasis on... So it's like... if Hakari is at all relative to speed with any of them, you have to account for whether RCT heals idle transfiguration, can Jogo blitz Hakari in his kill-able phase, how many jackpots would Hakari need to take out characters with high endurance feats, etc.

Nanami's plants grow the more cursed energy the consume, that's their "storage". So against infinite energy they should just keep growing and rip Hikari apart. Assuming Hikari can heal through all of it, it would probably just get so big that he can't move around any more until his super mode ends and then he dies. Or it would eventually grow through his brain and kill him permanently. But I doubt Hikari would get hit by that ability in the first place.

I feel like he fails to fully take mahito's soul manipulation into account, hes the only character in jjk who could definitely kill hakari while in jackpot, hakari's rct woild work against him here because it would read off of the shape of his soul, and even if his rct is capable of reshaping his own soul, it would take a second or two given the fact he was temporarily taken down by kashimo's poison tactic and by the time his rct does change to the level of his soul mahito's changes would be complete, and mahito has been shown to be able to manipulate ones ability to use curse energy and their techniques shown with junpei when he gave him a "feel" for their ability so they could use it without years of training so theoretically mahito could manipulate hakari's ability to use curse energy or even disable his ability to use rct and then watch as hakari's body destroyes itself under the stress of infinite curse energy. Hakari definetly no diffs all the other three but mahito 100% stands a moderate chance at killing hakari Theres also the problem of wether hakari can actually damage mahito cause if the whole "strongly maintaining the shape of my soul" as there are very few things that can actually touch mahito's soul There is the issue of the massive speed difference but when you cant be damaged and it only takes one tag to kill your opponent then it just becomes a battle of attrition. Also domains dont fully neutralize techniques we saw this in gojo vs sukuna when gojo fired a red at sukuna while they were doing the whole domain thing, the only argument to be made here is that mahito wont be able to maintain the shape of his soul while in hakari's domain but he would still have access to idle transfiguration, and becuase he is a cursed spirit he doesent need rct to heal he can just do it with normal curse energy Hakari is definitely a huge thorn in mahitos side and depending on how this theoritical fight goes could definitely prove to be a genuine threat to mahito, but i feel like mahito's threat to hakari was overly downplayed here I might be biased here because im a mahito dick rider but i felt like this needed to be thrown out there

Domain Expension DOEST neutralise cursed technique. It just makes sure you your technique hit. So defensive ability such as infinity or "trying to throw a transfigured human in the path of the technique" or creating some sort of barrier with your technique (outside obviously of falling blosom emotion and simple domain) wont block the hit because the sure hit effect bypass them. However the cursed technique is still there and usable. For example, Megumi can use 10S in another domain. Same for Gojo, he can use blue or red or w/e he wants. He can also use infinity, it will just not be efficient vs the sure hit. So Mahito will be totaly able to use Iddle Transfiguration in Hakari Domain. And Iddle Transfiguration as a defensive mean doesnt produce a barrier or w/e, it just change the soul to adapt the body in a form the attack doesnt matter too much. Anyway, it hardly matter here because Akari Sure Hit effect are the information of his domain, so he has nothing special in his domain to hit Mahito with Like come on, we even saw Charles uses his cursed technique inside Akari Domain Akari also CANT heal Iddle Transfiguration with RCT, its soul damage. He can howver gard his soul with massive amount of cursed energy, because he has high input and infinite cursed energy in jackpot mode
