Those numbers you put up with Olajuwon in the playoffs in 94 & 95, was his usual from the moment he appeared in the playoffs from his Rookie Season forward (85-86). Hakeem is definitely, top 3 in my book, and I'd probably say it's him or Kareem at the top 2 centers. However, I feel Hakeem; Jordan and Lebron, are the three most skilled and athletically gifted players to ever play the game. As far as who was the best: I guess, you can give the nod to Jordan and Olajuwon, as they were great defensive and Big game players from day one. Lebron, didn't always live up to the big moment. Kareem, gets honorable mention in that Skill/Athleticism short list, as his Sky hook and incredible size and length were super weapons worthy of mention. LOL

considering he was able to legitimately compete with his conemporaries in the 80s and 90s respectively i saw him more peerless as far as all around GAME than MJ. ESP in the 90s...i mean shaq, ewing, robinson couldnt touch him....and we rarely saw match ups on par with that level against jordan at his position or in his finals other than the lakers and they got injured/bounced out by mj that really sparked his rise. Hakeem took just about every one of his "peers" behind the woodshed 95 vs the spurs is easily one of the greatest displays of dominance and all around game VS an MVP that could come to mind and to think He was going to town on the lakers back in the 80s that it took this long for him to have enough talent around him to COMPETE. Yet he never cried or threw anyone under the bus like we see most of todays stars or Young upstarts getting coaches fired b4 theyve played a single playoff minute.

An absolute stud and one of my favourite players of all time along with his boy Ralph Sampson. Cant imagine the havok those two would've wreaked if Ralph never got hurt. Nevertheless is one of the goats and is one of the most well rounded players of all time. He never played on any super teams in his prime yet still dominated and won. Like you said, his championships weren't a product of Jordans departure I don't think people understand how much a championship run takes a toll on your body. Its between 16 and 28 games extra which is the main reason why there have been so few threepeats and nothing above aside from the 60s celtics who were just built different.
