acne is a b*tch but i’m tired of seeing the narrative that acne makes you ugly being sold to us since like foreverrrrrr !! i still struggle with loving myself withcysts and pimples all the time but i filmed this on a good day so i thought I’d give my acne prone girls, guys, n’ non-binary friends a lil insight on why your acne doesn’t take away from your hotness, at all! you + ur acne are chef’s kiss
love u with my whole heart and i hope this made you feel more confident in yourself! xoxo

i felt my eyes tearing up when you were talking about high school because this year was my last year of high school and my acne was the worst and people would look at me different recently since our school closed we had to pick up our cap and gown and there was this huge set up and i didn’t go because my skin was not looking the best and i just hate how i let my acne keep me from doing things that will never happen again 🥺😞🙁

It is like, hard for me to watch this and struggle with acne. It's like, every night I sit with my "acne journal", reading all of this acne positivity quotes, trying to be patient, knowing that acne is not going to be forever but at the same time crying inside cause I don't feel like this is my skin, avoiding mirrors because everytime I see it I feel like it is worse and afraid of others noticing and find it gross.

I'm 21 and still dealing with cystic acne, and I can honestly say everything you said was so true and important for everyone dealing with acne to hear! it's overall something so insignificant but it's still okay to feel insecure about it sometimes! we all have good and bad days, and it's important to embrace both! your skin imperfections do not define you 🧡

I have bad acne right now. Everyone tells me that my acne shouldn’t define me and that I’m really pretty but sometimes I think they are lying to me to make me feel better. I’ve been training my mindset saying “you’re beautiful” “look at youuuu, you are so pretty” like, compliments from myself actually make me feel better. But, some days I wanna scream and cry because I’ve had really bad acne for at least 4 years and it made me feel really insecure. Like I can’t even go up to my family members and I can’t look them in the eye knowing that they are looking at my acne, including my friends. Then I start wondering why they all have clear skin, and I’m so sad that I think this way. Like I really just don’t wanna go up to anyone because I think it’s the only thing they see of me first. Honestly I just know it’ll get better and this is just something I’m growing up with. It’s going to make me stronger. Acne just doesn’t come by itself it came with, low self-esteem, depression, and other things. Just know you ALL are SO BEAUTIFUL ACNE DOESNT DEFINE YOUU!

you’re so right with the diet stuff. sugar and dairy is the WORST for me personally aswell, so my diet is mainly low sugar fruits, veggies, meat, and things like eggs. you said it was hard for you bc you love these things, but just remember anything in moderating is OKAY as long as your diet is mainly healthy:) good luck & remember you’re beautiful either way.❤️

I needed this and didn't even know it so thank you :) I had perfect skin all throughout middle/high school til I graduated then suddenly my skin decided to act up. It is all because of dairy/sugar and it took me forever to realize! My skin is clear right now with the exception of some spots but it is still hard to see especially because it is so up and down. I am confident in myself but this was so reassuring to hear a couple yrs later and I will definitely think about this vid more when I need it!!

For the acne I struggled with, I learned my skin type, overproduced sebum and when dehydrated even more so. The products I used for months before realizing 90% of products I use WILL make me break out. This was ironic. So I drink lots of water to reduce sebum production and as far as fading acne scars, Simply time and patience, most products lie and your just wasting your money with “reduces scars in “___” amount of time” Use natural things! Like juices from non acidic fruits or turmeric with honey, lemon is good but may be harmful to some peoples skin. chemicals usually have hidden ingredients that could harm your skin. And DO NOT go in the sunlight after applying product or washing with one. Most ignore this. wait till it’s washed off and give time to relax the skin and use sunscreen or sunscreen lotion. I’ve had acne since 14 I’m 24 now but I love myself I’m confident, I’ve realized not as many people care once your older and more matured you realize what people think isn’t important it won’t benefit your life your success or goals so why bother? Love yourself that’s the biggest stress reducer. Start finding thinks you like about your life. Things you are happy for. For me it’s Like you have 2 legs and 2 arms, you can walk. You aren’t dying with minutes left. You can see, you can hear, you can talk without disabilities(Some may not have all and that’s why I’m thankful I’m blessed to be so. this is examples in my case not for all) ***A suggestion for acne sufferers:*** See a dermatologist! Everyone has different skin types and genetics, what works for one most likely won’t work for another. Your dermatologist can determine if there’s a skin infection from popping that needs a certain medical product to get rid of.(just a suggestion!) ***INFECTION*** I learned if you pop one with your fingers all that pus doesn’t just come out your pores some spreads under the skin and pops up a few hours to a few days later in another spot. And the longer you wait to get help or “solve it yourself” it could spread more and more. This was my case if you have sensitive skin like me. **** Is acne good or bad?**** Acne is not something to love or be happy for, but it does benefit you in realizing a lot of truth to the people around you aswell as yourself.

Thank you SOO so much for making this video! I’ve recently been battling with my mental health. It hasn’t been this bad in a long time. I’ve been dealing with my skin probably being the worst it’s ever been, my body is in the worst shape it’s been, and I have SO much stress. I’ve been working out for about 2 or more month now, eating healthier, and I still look the same. I also have a really bad habit of picking my face (which I’m working on), and these things just made me have a breakdown. I get so disgusted looking at myself in the mirror. I really appreciate this video because I think you’re so beautiful inside and out and I really hope that it can push me to treat myself kinder and remind myself that it will all be okay ❤️

Hey Raimi!! (btw I love your name) I'm new to your channel, but I'm so thankful I stumbled across this video first. Everything you said really resonated with me. I'm an 18 year old girl on my second round of accutane... I completely understand how society's view of acne can be so intensely hurtful. I just wanted to say thank you for preaching the truth and making me feel beautiful💕

I started using colour correcting concealer to hide my acne scars and acne everyday every time I go out (especially in school). Now, I can’t stop using makeup to hide it, because if one day I suddenly stop wearing concealer to hide it, it will look weird cuz my face will be more bumpy and red than before. Plus, I feel more comfortable with my real skin without makeup…
