This was motivating I’ve have worked out for a bit and I know it takes time and dedication but it’s discouraging when someone who doesn’t even workout looks way better than me and it makes me feel like shit but I try to keep pushing and realize I’ll look way better in the years to come then when I started and be proud

Yeah I understand those times where I was in my first 2.5 years of exercising. I was mainly doing bodyweight calisthenics for upper body and a mix of light weights and bodyweight for lower body. I exercised at first to improve my strength and conditioning for basketball as I was playing at a high level in my team. But then you start to get self conscious in your looks and start comparing yourself to bigger guys when you go out in public. I've never been to the gym until now as I have a home gym thankfully. Then I didn't exercise for half a year due to going on a holiday for the next two months after high school graduation and was just lazy to get back into exercise for about 4 months. I didn't gain too much size with bodyweight calisthenics, so decided to lift weights and as of current, I'm pushing to 4 years of lifting weights this July. Nowadays, I don't play basketball anymore but I'm focused more on developing an aesthetic physique like those guys on men's physique. Just basically trying to achieve a natural look aesthetically with decent size and leanness for my frame. I wouldn't want to do steroids as you'll start to rely on it for the rest of your life and be prescribed TRT. It's better to be healthy first, then you'll feel confident and great about yourself. Let me tell you, the difference between having a good size and aesthetic physique is night and day compared to having a smaller build. When I go to uni, or occasionally play a pick-up ball in the park, they know I'm a pretty good player, but they always complement the physique first haha. Wearing a tank top or a compression tight t-shirt/longsleeve under your tank top jersey gets you the complement or intimidation factor to other men, while women will usually just look at your body. That's what I basically found out, men complement you and give their respect, while women just look unless they're your girlfriend, then she'll complement you basing on my last two relationships😅. But of course, that doesn't apply to all women, I still get rejected here and there.😂
