These conversations with atheist gets so old. They ask the same questions over and over again but none of them ever goes to seek the answer for themselves. The most basic questions refuting Christianity have been beaten to death through apologetics. Why can't they just look a few things up?

I love this Q & A! Fantastic conversation about important topics every Christian should be thinking about. I’m wondering what you would say to how you should share your faith with non Christian friends? I have some friends that I would like to share some of this information with, but I’m just not sure how to go about it? It seems like everyone today tends to be more surface level and I find that most people don’t like to get deep into beliefs. Any advice would be helpful.

My questions is: Early church forsake everything secular and were defined by selfless traditions, then came the martyrs, after the martyrs came the monks and the órders of the monks who literaly forsake everything. I asume a theme were traditions stray away from selfless traditions to join the world.. then it comes back to a theme of "leave everything behind and follow Jesús". I Guess My question is, How does are modern Christian traditions compare to early church traditions? And are we keeping their initial intentions for our traditions today?

Re: the NT writers being conspiracy theorists, Frank made a great point about what they stood to gain. As he explained and we know, they got neither money nor power nor women; so they stood to gain absolutely nothing. In fact they got the opposite of power and money when they were persecuted and killed. Like a detective ought to ask the question "Who stands to benefit the most from this event?" when dealing with a homicide investigation, we should do the same here. When you look at Christianity and the NT writers, the only folks who stood to benefit were the people who listened to them (having their eyes opened to the 'mystery'). If you ask that same question of say, Islam, the answer is quite revealing. Muhammad went from being a nobody to suddenly wielding money, power and women (girls even).

Again, video after video on these kinds of good discussions there is a presumption that the average Christian adult is knowledgeable and well taught. The teaching in the average congregation is shallow at best, not all adults but probably most. Parents are the ones that should be teaching their own children, not so called youth ministers. The average congregation cannot even look among its own men for Elders. They are hardly even qualified to interview any man when looking for an Elder, especially one they do not know, which is critical according to 1 Timothy 3. Many who are Pastors today are all over the place concerning their beliefs, including the fact that Pastors, in private, will admit they are not even teachers of scripture. I'm speaking from first hand knowledge of several I know personally. I advised them to immediately resign because they are not qualified to be an Elder. They all remained Pastor and I would nolonger attend there. The lack of integrity in congregations today is glaring. Apologetics are absolutely necessary: Creation of the universe; fine-tuning of the universe; the fossil records importance; the irreducible complexity found in the single living cell with the nano machinery, billions of bits of information and operating systems, etc.; Foresight, in all creation by a mind and power outside of time and space. Textual Criticism of the Greek New Testament manuscripts, Hebrew and Greek Old Testament; and more, but first, the teaching of God's breathed words need to be known and understood by Christian adults, especially those who have been born again for many years. By the way, people before Christ were not given that name for salvation. The command to repent today includes the Gospel of our salvation. People, for some strange reason, seem to forget that the Holy Spirit is working, bringing conviction, drawing all to Jesus as Jesus claimed in John 12:32. Frank is right about this: it should be clear that if one wants to know about God he will by his Spirit reveal the Gospel of their salvation.

Anyone who believes that morality is grounded in the Christian God needs to read the following examples of Yahweh/Jesus slaughtering babies and the unborn: by drowning in (Genesis 7: 22); burning to death in (Genesis 19: 24 ); putting to the sword in (1 Samuel 15:3 & Numbers 31: 17) and putting to death just to show off in (Exodus 11:5), before they question any atheists secular morality. I mean, who is his audience? Based on comments here I'd say his audience is Christians. So he's preaching to the choir? Yesterday I heard Frank talk about abortion. I have to say, at least he's consistent. Whenever I see comments equating abortion to murder I always ask what they would tell the 14 year old girl who was raped by her uncle. When I was agnostic, it was a compelling argument to me that given billions of stars, billions of planets, and if that's not enough, throw in infinite universes, you don't need a God. So I'd already thought through that and it was a wall for me. Call me crazy, but until I found out the earth was flat, I didn't know there was a God. Now a flat earth universe has to be created! There aren't billions of solar systems. There is just one earth and lights in the firmament.

Fundamentalists who read the bible as if it was yesterdays newspaper news fail to realize that the bible is an ancient epic which reminds us of how people back in those times lived and what they believed. And at the same time they fail to realize that been a Christian means living by the message Jesus preached, a message of peace, love and forgiveness. If more people were to heed that message, this world will turn out to be a far better place for all.

You're right that SOMETHING has to be uncreated. But is it this universe? I don't think this universe has the power to create everything. What's beyond this universe we don't know. So maybe. Because evolution is definitely wrong. Millions of years is not God Almighty. It can't create everything. Time creates deformities, not superpowers. And they don't get passed on to every animal in a species either. I've never seen it work even once in a tiny scale, and you think it created all the complexity we see? Utterly ridiculous.

Women were not viewed as equally valuable to men in the Bible. In fact, Jesus did no chose women as disciples. To say that God is a perfect being is wrong. For to what standard of perfection you know to judge God to be perfect? What Christianity are you talking about? There were no Christians during the time Paul was writing there was not New Testament. There was no Christian religion. They were a bunch of Jews arguing that the Messiah has come. Believe has no place where truth is concern. Paul view on salvation is that Jesus Christ saves as long as you do it yourself "Make of yourself a living sacrifice. Paul and Jesus would not agree with your belief that Christ our Lord is going to do it for you.

You're holding God up to the perfection of yourself. What you think is perfect is that women and men have no different roles. You're right! God created men and women to be different! It's modern society that's wrong, not God. Tell me if this makes sense: 2 working people, and outsourcing childcare. OR 1 working person and 1 person raising up the children. Seems to make more sense to me! You need 2 male roles and then to bring in a third party? Bizarre.

@@Volleyball_Chess_and_Geoguessr You are holding God to a superficial or sinful level of yourself. Stop playing with words and go deep into yourself to find out what it means to be one in Christ. As Paul puts it in Galatians 3:28 when we are one in Christ we are not a woman or a man, we are human beings living together beyond gender roles, race, sexual orientation, culture etc. Beyond the self, there is our common ground. The bigger picture.
