There is always a state at which something exists which brings its representations, characteristics and its properties in relation to something. Lets just take the sight, it represents light, the state at which it exists to us is awareness, the way it works in relation to something is through impressions whether its pre conceived or not as an outcome because its abstract and its utility is to see and therefore bring transformation or conversion from one to another. Similarily, the breath which represents the discerning and differentiating aspect of mind, the way it impacts us is by building habituation tendencies of what is like or dislike or what is wanted or unwanted etc, because its essentially wind, its the one that sets us in motion towards things. If we consider the moon, the moon on shiva's head is never full phase, its the first phase right after the new moon and its located positioned right on head which is a place of face. Among the five senses and all its representations, the face occupies four of its at its entirety, except touch because touch goes through out the body signals. In other words, the making of a human being is heavily focused on face is the formation of the individual. The know the depth behind all these one would have to go deeper
