I got two as well, I'm the only rider, 70 years old...bought a 2019 RadCity ST...and two months later bought a 2019 RadMini (model clear out sale)...part of the rationale was having TWO identical batteries (could pack a second battery along either bike)....One is for super comfortable road cruising, the other for trail/dirt riding. The Mini is easily "transportable" in the back of my SUV with rear seats down: just fold the handlebars down, battery and seat off, and it rolls right into the back and lays down on a piece of foam. Both have suspension seat post option (worth EVERY penny!) and on both bikes I swapped the trigger shifter for the brake clamp position (don't have to move your right hand to shift gears anymore....requires a little filing/grinding of brake clamp to get a tight/close fit....rear brake application is now a two finger operation) Coming up on half a year (winter on the wet west coast) I have 1000 kms on the City and 600 on the Mini.

@@CitizenCycle925 Yep....at less than 10% of the cost of the bike it's a "must have" IMO. After upgrading your controller...do you still have your old one??? I would REALLY like to get my hands on one (or two) US controllers.

We bought two Rad City E Bikes. One step through in white and mine, regular frame in grey. Cannot wait for them to arrive, it's been just over a month since ordered. We live in the midwest, so mostly flat with some short hills. We'll stick to paved and gravel trails. But, next time we'll purchase a Rad Rover.

I bought the Himiway and its identenical to the rad but the battery is bigger at 48volts 17.5amps just pedaling with the pedal assist i bet i get 50 miles on a charge and i doubt i will ever do 50 miles but once you ride this bike its really great. I paid $1349 they had a $50 coupon and i got all the accesories that i mentioned. Throttle alone 23 mph but pedal assist i can get to 30 mph in 7th gear on the cassete and 4 speed on the lcd screen it will surge as you start to pedal but once you figure it out its not a problem then you can educate your wife. Yeah its so much better on the hills and down hill i hit 35 mph. 2 year warranty and tech support is excellent. They have 2 styles you won`t be dissappointed. I know i am not ! Pat Noonan Liberty,Sc

I am not bragging. I am totally a Rad rider. My first bike is the rad city. Love it. For my weight I should have started with the rover. But I financed my bikes 🚲 with Affirm. Good company. Ordered the bike. Four days later delivered. So exciting. First payment 30days later. Now I have 3. Happy Trails everyone.

2 years ago it was a different story. I was in the market for ebike 2 months ago and I was considering a rad bike but the bike comes without rear rack, mechanical break, and bulky battery the same battery as you have plus it's small Ah battery too. I compared it with Rize bike. The Rize bike I got had bigger Ah battery and it's not bulky. It has hydro brakes, and it comes with a rear rack. Also, the control panel has nice features like the bike can be locked with a passcode and has cruise control. The good part all this at the same price as Rad bike. I have 2 Rize bikes and they're fantastic. I am not interested to spend more money on aftermarket parts. I am a motorcycle and I spend a lot of money on my motorcycle but it the bicycle.

CitizenCycle they used to be Spark bike before they rebrand their name. According to their team member I talked to, they rebrand it because they want to go global and Spark name was licensed to another international company.

Still raining! Last night I purchased Bolton Bikes up grade kit along with “Electric bike worlds” Bafang 750watt hub. Got a shop in Berkeley (CA) to put in in-so it’s done right the first time. My 2018 RadMini should then get me up (most) SF hills. I’m in Benicia (CA) and fold the bike and put it in the Benz ml to find places to ride/play. And your right the lock down has folks getting on bikes.

Have a hybrid diamond back insight 2 with a ebikling 1200 watt motor and 17.5 amp battery that i need to mount the battery on the uptube. Water bottle bolts are positioned wrong so going to tap in a couple and wire it up should be going soon. I had the previous set up pulling 34 mph with a 48v 20 amp but i left it uncharged for 6 months and the battery went soulth. Like the idea of 2 ebikes but may order another himiway just for the price point and quality so friends can ride with me !

I'm a new subscriber and have enjoyed your videos. Partly as a result, I purchased a Radrover (Thursday?) & it should be here on Tuesday. I am a bit apprehensive about the assembly and all the procedures around properly charging the battery and "bedding" the brakes, etc... Any videos and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Please i would love one of these bikes can i get one in England . I already have an electric bike but It needs a new battery they cost a lot of money so i would rather get a new bike i've been watching you guys on these bikes and they are brilliant 👍👍👍

Not sure if Rad ships to England and not sure what your regulations are for motor size...
@mozzjones69434 жыл бұрын
There is an EU department to Radpower - radpowerbikes.eu/ And they do ship to the UK! But the bikes they stock are set for EU law - 250w motor 25kph max speed and 6kph on the throttle. I believe you can increase the speed limit on the display but not for throttle speed. If that sounds ok then go for it 👍

I bought the Ecotric e bike and it looks the same as a Rad Rover for about half the price. And yea, many e bikes you can't get now or would be on back order so I'm glad I bought mine last year. As for quality, it's about the same as a Rad without the front shock. I believe it was the Chinese knockoff of the Rad from what I understand but don't quote me on that. Installed the same accessories as you, lights, rear rack, panniers, tool bags, mirrors, fenders and added a Bluetooth, FM radio with flashlight and extra power bank buying mainly on Ebay and Amazon for much cheaper. Radpower accessory prices are a bit costly for my budget if I bought the Rad. I would recommend buying the Rad to anyone that can afford it. For now, a budget priced Ecotric (that I'm very happy with) will do.

Can you send me the link to the Bluetooth radio you bought. I have been looking for a good one of those

@@CitizenCycle925 The one I bought doesn't mean I purchased the best out there, but for the price it's slim and serves its purpose. This one is sold out, but you get the idea. Amazon is more expensive. www.ebay.com/itm/332733056417

Any thoughts on the Rad Mini Step-Thru's tires? They're now 3.3 inches. Do they seem fat enough for the type of riding your fiancé does?
@woodsculptor6754 жыл бұрын
I have the Rad Runner with the 3.3's. They're better for mostly street riding b/c less drag, you will go faster. If you're planning on mostly off roading, you can get the Rad Mini and then add 4"tires which Rad offers for replacement parts.

If you're getting the full size Rover I would definitely get the step through version. I would say someone 5 foot 4 could ride it but it wouldn't be as comfortable for them as the mini would.
