I really hope it’s going to be priced under the CB650R in my market, I’m gonna be so sad if it’s getting sold over an MT-09 (which is $650 over a CB650R, and, get this, $2000 over a Z900 (yes a Z900 is cheaper than a CB650)). I’m looking forward to a Trident as my second and possibly last bike.

This is a tricky one though - apparently because of euro 5 the engine is tuned for lots of back pressure from the exhaust, so if you fit something free flowing it won't run so well. I'm interested to see what will come to the aftermarket though...

I think this is going to be the most interesting part of this engine. Rip the euro 5 off, high flow air box, and a tune and I wouldn't be surprised to see rwhp gains of 10+. Respring the forks for your weight and I think at that point it will be an excellent everyday bike o ride the hell out of.

I think you've made a very wise choice dude. The bike looks great and I think its gonna carve a huge chunk of the beginner / middle weight category. Looks miles better than the MT07 and CB and for 7.k you get Triumph quality and reliability. Cant wait to see your future vids. I remember watching your Kawi ER6 videos way back! Cool to see a nice guys channel grow bigger!

I'm really tempted by one for my commute in London. The thing thats stopping me is requiring relatively secure luggage. I need to bring stuff with me daily plus good security for when it's locked up during the working day. So you wanted an expensive 947 cc bike but now your going to get a budget 675 ? How does that make sense ? Shouldn’t you be going for an xsr900 or Honda cb1000r

I will be interested to watch your progress with this bike and how it shapes up day-to-day. I reckon the flexible triple engine will be great in the city. Wide service intervals will be useful. I have a feeling that this bike will get 'done to death on KZbin', too. They are going to really sell. Maybe to me? That music does my head in.

My next bike will definitely be Triumph, unless Norton actually releases something mind-blowing when they decide to go into full production. I still think it will be Triumph, however. Subscribed! This bike checks all my boxes and will be my return to motorcycling after a 20 year absence. I’ve read the clutch lever is not adjustable and is a long reach, any opinion? Maybe the aftermarket will address this and a sweet sounding exhaust.

Congrats on the bike - I'm currently saving for one as well - but here in Canada, it's going to be over a month until they arrive, so I'll have to live vicariously through your videos (and others) while I wait - I've been riding 51 years, on all sorts of bikes (43 to date) and I am thinking this will be my last one, now that all my other bikes are sold off - the one's I miss most are my Ducatis and Moto Guzzis...I've never owned a Triumph, but had 2 BSA's back in the 70's, and really liked their character - I hope the Trident will be really charismatic, and I can ride it for a few years more...

It's winter here now, but in Vancouver on the west coast, the weather is a lot like the UK - mostly rain and +2- +8 daily now...so as soon as the bike arrives, I'll be booking a ride. for info : there is a bug with the auto reset, the clearing is going well but the trip does not start during the first use of the motorbike which follows this auto reset, it is necessary to make a 2nd stop / on for the trip to start with against in manual reset it works correctly

Excited for my new bike I asked for some unboxing shots to build the excitement.....why did I bother!!! Haha had a chuckle when you brought up the looks as a big selling point for you since you favor the more classic bike shapes since I picked up the BMW F900R because I totally dig the angular futuristic looks 😆 Motorcycles are awesome that way though, so many options out there you can find the perfect one suited to your use and design preference. (Still making my way through your video haha) but ya, I feel like sometimes we might feel a need to justify our bike choices to others like, oh “this other model has more power but...” or “that model has more features but...”, and I catch myself doing the same at times, but truth be told, riding is such an individual and emotional experience and point blank, some bikes just speak to you while others may not even if there are more logical options out there. I’ve ordered the matte black over here in the States! Cant wait. Could you talk a little about the matte tank finish? I think it’s the best looking of the new colors and have committed to it ,however, I’ve heard a couple haters talking about how “cheap” it looks in person. Although it shows on camera extremely well!
