I have been coffee free for the last year! my digestive system had improved so so much and now I finally use the true energy my body produces instead of that quick burst of energy that coffee use to give me creating a lot of metabolic damage. So often I had to increase the amount of caffeine to feel the energy until my body started to break down and I had to stop coffee to recover from the process. My Sleep had also improved so much! Coffee is a drug to me that I was addicted too. Not being able to trust my own body's ability to create natural energy is what coffee caused me. I have peers that can't function if they don't drink 4 or more cups in a day... this is sad!

I developed what I thought was a urinary tract infection, went to the doctor, put on drugs that didn't work but in the meantime, before the lab results came back that there wasn't any infection in my bladder, I started thinking through my daily dinking habits. I started to realize I had been consuming a whole lot of black ice tea each day! I started to pour NOTHING but plain water to the problem and within 24 hours the problems of pain, constant bathroom runs, etc. the problem started to disappear! Yeesss, where I was born in Paraguay (Argentina do this more tbh) we have yerba mate, but most of the time we have 'terere' (I hope that's the right spelling lmao) which is a cold brew version. I laaaave it

Great video and information. I was laughing through most of it. Thanks for making it entertaining. I have stopped drinking coffee regularly because I felt anxious on it as well. But it’s nice to hear the science behind it. It confirms what I was feeling. I really appreciate how relatable you are. Your diet and lifestyle are my goals, and yet you make me feel like it’s ok to mistakes too, you just gotta keep trying toward those goals. Your an amazing coach. Thank you.

I'm just coming out the other side of stopping caffeine! I have cut it all out except for the occasional sip or tea and I LOVE IT! I wake up so much easier, have so much energy consistently throughout the day, and so much less anxiety!

Hey brother, love your channel. A few months ago, I started making a few changes suggested by :- Simnett Nutrition, Chef AJ, John Rose, Dan McDonald, Lou Corona and Prof. Caldwell Esselstyn and Dr. John McDougall and so on to benefit my health. Shortly before that I was in hospital to have a pre-op check for blood pressure. They were going to insert a grommet in the ear drum of my left ear and were testing to how my heart would react to general anesthetic. I drank a Lemon Ginger Blast for breakfast for 3 months and my hearing returned to normal so the op became unnecessary. To the original point, I had a coffee 3 hours before arriving at the hospital and they made me sit for another 3 hours before taking readings for blood pressure. They mentioned something about the arteries constricting and driving blood pressure up, due to some component in the coffee. Sadly, I missed the scientific medical jargon they used but the upshot was coffee effects your arteries and not in a good way. So if you have Coronary Heart Disease or any heart related problems then avoiding coffee might be a good idea. Best Wishes to yourself and everyone at Simnett Nutrition. Many thanks Pat.

That’s a great testimony what you wrote there I can’t even explain it how it can speak to millions I’m feeling deaf in my right ear somethings going on and I’ve been drinking so many caffeine well I tried to get away from drinking it so I was eating chocolate bars pure dark chocolate but I think that was the cause that’s causing this blockage in and I’m giving it up some past five days now and I have hope that something great is going to come out of that because that’s not a way to live just live on chocolate dark and you’re giving me hope That really made my day because I’m such an addictive personality with caffeine of any kind

@@janicepaul9957 Hey thanks, but I can't take the credit for the Lemon, Ginger blast. The others on the Hero's Journey give me the inspiration. I'm a chocoholic too so I can't even limit my intake I just went cold turkey. Plus I think it contains milk also, and that doesn't help the hearing as it causes mucus, wax and fluid and so on. So a week of salads and vegetables with the LGB and you'll be in great shape in no time. All the best sister. Blessings.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I feel the same while drinking coffee. And I was getting more side effects from coffee specially before becoming a vegan. After becoming vegan the coffee side effects were less but I still got them. Shortness of breath, anxiety and the strange thing is you feel very happy and optimistic in the first two hours.

I also use to have a love-hate relationship with coffee. I switched to Dandy Blend. It has a funny name but tastes and looks just like coffee. It's too bad a lot of people don't know about it!

Derek, I just happened to stumble upon your KZbin channel the other day, and I am so glad I did, because I am loving your videos! I don't know if I'm a slow caffeine metabolizer or not, but coffee definitely messes with my digestion, so I have switched to something called Teeccino, I believe it's pronounced tee-chee-no. It's available on Amazon and comes in a variety of flavors. It has no caffeine and no acid, so for those out there with sensitive tummies like mine, it's a great alternative. It comes in tea bags, but is dark like coffee and has more body than tea...in my humble opinion. Though I'm not sure if it has any antioxidant benefits, hmmm. Anyway, just another hot beverage option to check out. It's also great cold or iced like an iced coffee in the summer.

Thank you so much! This is so me! I've kind of known this for a long time, but kept on n on ignoring the (obvious!) signals. Thank you. Looking forward to more peace of mind and body! Tea isn't as disturbing to my nervous system either. Just a nice lift. Good reminders and tips.

I went without coffee for 3 months once and i never quite felt right the whole time without it. I must be a fast caffeine metabolizer because it actually helps with my anxiety, can even put me to sleep and has no effect on my digestion. Crazy how different we all are!

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that one benefit to coffee is that it has some components that can help decrease lipopolysaccharides (LPS) that can result from leaky gut or SIBO! One of those components is cholorogenic acid. This is important because LPS can harm the liver and the brain!

I can have 1 iced coffee around noon and I won't be able to fall asleep till around 2 or 3am It was great back when I was gaming a lot but now that i'm toning that back when I drink it I just want to hop on.
