Some of the others have more raw power but Audi just has that wonderful smooth balanced feel with a gorgeous fit and finish. Love my Audi.

right off the bat, the Audi S6 is comparable to an E 500 or an M550i, I wouldn’t class it with the amg or M cars since thats what the RS line is for

I love the thought of the S6, according to ARP they dyno 480 hp. A 2013 is around 23k I might consider getting one when my Infiniti G37s gets older. I would love something smaller and Lighter so I am thinking of an Alfa Giulia or 328i for a daily. I would like to have something that feels pretty nimble. I had a 2001 330i that was pretty nimble, the rear in a big sweeper didn't feel as planted as my old 1999 528i

bought a 2015 audi s6 two days ago. i got lucky 1 owner 60k miles. but im blown away by the power in that thing. i knew it was gonna be fast but it really caught me off guard. i love the car so much and the technology is much ahead if its time

i wouldnt know what a lease would go for, but assuming, just tax tags and first month id say around 900 a month, 36 month 10k a year, cars lease the same every where in the US

It's funny to see guys arguing between the E63, M5, and S6. I heard Jay mention executive sedan with power and features. The S6 does fit that criteria well. There are plenty of cars to choose... GSF, RS7, CTS-V, and M550 are great as well.

Just APR chip it and stay Stage 1.. going Stage 2 is too much work for a very very small gain. Just do it trust me

Not true, the benefit of the stage 2 is in the mid range power because the stock downpipes are restrictive. It is a bigger job to do stage 2 over a stage 1 for sure--but it's no small gain.

Can't pit an S6 against an AMG or an M. That's the R$6's job (i know, no RS6 in the US since 03). Stage 2 APR and the extra $15k you save and you will beat both...Year around.

Good choice man! I have been rocking my 2k6 Audi A6 Quattro and its still looks like a 2k17 model and the car has been very reliable to be honest. Great car and enjoy man

Like you said, the S6 is indeed best bag for the money :). In all condition you can still floor it or turn it into a comfy cloud. Understanding it might not be on your plans....BUT go stage1 or stage2 with exhaust ;). Loving my S6 avant :) Enjoy your car!

Def the wrong choice by saying "the little bit more power the AMG makes over the S6" especially when you consider the E63S makes some 780-800hp tune only. Regardless, people are going to get what they want. I have a 2014 E63 4matic, have run an S6, its not even in the same league as my car but it doesn't have the new tech you want. I think it was a poor choice, but it is your money, and I can't exactly rag on you for saving $60k! Still a nice ass car :-)

S6 is not even the same league as the new e63s lolol. Nice car but not close to the amg. Interior of the new e is better, better tech, much quicker, handles better. Only way to justify it is subjective looks or maybe an Audi fan

Jay Flat Out I edited this post before you even replied. And why are you so angry? You're acting like I said something bad. In your title, you mentioned the M5, E63 AMG, and the S6. All I was saying was that the S6 doesn't directly compete with the those two and that the RS6 does. I didn't say anything about your decision being bad or good. If you want to know, I am actually a big Audi fan and would take the S6 over the other two cars you mentioned. Idk what your problem is. I didn't reply to your reply because I had nothing to say as your comment was fact and true. No where in my initial comment did I intend to start anything, yet you want to make a big fuss over something so little. Calm down, sit down, and be humble. Dig the new car, If I were going to get a new car and Audi S serries is high on the list. I have a new customer who had bought an S6 out right and then sold it for a basket case of a 83 Quattro that supposedly have some significance with Group A back in the day but I haven't seen anything that suggests it's anything but a road car That's were I come in. I already went thru two pads doing paint correction on this thing. I'm literally polishing a terd with this thing. Most abused Audi In the world.

The only conclusion is you wanted to go slower and spend less...both the 2018 E63 S and the 2018 M5 are 600 H.P. monsters that will run away and hide from a 450 HP S6...of course a loaded S6 can be had for $92K whereas a loaded M5 or E63 will be $150K.

I took the quality of the Audi and the extra ~$30k in cash, and there is no M5 or E63 that can touch me... unless they spend over $100k. Can't argue when I have destroyed them in our clubs for years up it the UT mountain and on the track. All other AWD systems are fighting for 3rs place cause Audi and Subaru at top 2.

The new e63 it is much much faster..no way comparison with a stock s6! (That is rs6 territory) Now if you do stage 2 on the s6 than yes performance wise will be the same and better from the s6 as the stage 2 s6 tq it is around 730! Of course you can tune the amg and will be even better and so on..so really the only valid reason not to choose the 2018 amg 63s against the s6 it is if you can't pay the extra 60k(which it is allot ) .The e63s will do everything the s6 dose and better that include exhaust sound! And this comes from someone that owns a stage 2 s6 with Milltek Valvesonic ;) . BMW wise, yeah absolutely you did the right choice latest 5-7 years bmw fail the fans :) but there is some new hope for 2018-2019

you need to do your research well... the m5 has been the BEST mid-sized performance saloon since the E28 IN 1986 and is still running the game when it comes to driving experience. it's not called ''THE ULTIMTE DRIVING MACHINE'' for nothing.... Tell me, Did you ever hear of the E63 being the best All-rounder saloon in any year since their first one? (w211 e55/63)

Langa the first e55 was the w210. There were only 2 generations (now 3) with Amg and M cars being rivals. The 211 e55 was a close rival of the e60 m5 and then the w211 e63 came out and it became a driver's race, but that don't mean the e60 m5 was a better car than the w211 e63. The w211 was faster than the e60 m5 up to 130ish, then the final gear the e60 start creeping ahead but that's not up until death defying speeds. The f10 m5 had a bunch of holes in it, it wasn't a complete car and the w212 e63 5.5 bi turbo was a much better overall car. The f10 m5 was slightly faster until Mercedes came out with the 4matic e63s, then the f10 m5 was swiss cheese and that is why the f80 m5 is awd. The w213 e63s is a missile and the new f80 m5 has not raced it yet, so its still up for debate. But to say that the m5 is the king is more bias and an opinion.

Jay Flat Out The s6 isn't even in the same league as the e63s, so stop fooling yourself. An e63s competes with the rs6 not the s6, the performance of the e63s make the s6 seem like a Honda Accord. The f10 m5 is also on a whole other level than a s6, so your comparisons is not on par with each other. The s6 competes with the Merc e43 Amg and Bmw 550M, the s6 is a mid level performance sports sedan. You sound like you are trying to convince yourself that you can actually afford them other two cars and you made the right choice.

SuperGoldnut Nothing you just said had anything to do with him trying to compare an Audi s6 against two mightier cars. The price isn't even justifiable to compare against an E63s. Anyone can get a tune or modifications to make a car faster, so that isn't justifiable either. Also the E63s is awd so it does well in the snow also. No one didn't say an Audi s6 is a bad car but this video is about him trying to justify why he picked it over two more superior cars, not two cars on par with his choice. M5 is not 80Hp more. Its way more powerful than S6. Also S6 is a front wheel drive platform underneath. There is no way you can compare it to the BMW driving dynamics.

You could have gotten a 2015 E63s. CPO with 3years unlimited mileage for cheaper than the Audi , Merc has AWD and has a lot more power, But nevertheless you can’t go wrong with either
