What kind of accommodation are you looking at for $200aud a week? Im heading out next month.
@BenjaminHardingx9 ай бұрын
Hey Ashley, thanks for reaching out! Most my accommodation have been share houses. I found mine through fb marketplace, flatmates and word of mouth through my work. My last 2 houses were through my work colleagues so that’s why they were cheaper. For 200 a week Ive got private room, shared bathroom, parking space, close to shops & gym. I have my car too so this creates flexibility with where to stay. If you’re going to be relying on public transport I’ve seen some cheaper share house rentals in the city, easier to get around & network at same time if you want to save for car/upgrade accom. Hope this helps bud 🙏🏽☺️ Any other questions, give me shout (:

Uk, living in vietnam. Did you get fifo?

Hi Benjamin, i like the effective and authentic way you share your experience. It makes me feel allowed to connect for a simple question if you ever have some time for it. Do you know if it is realistic to find a fifo mining job without experience for a person living out of Australia who would then need a visa and maybe be supported by a company ? i'm over the age limit for a working-hollyday visa but i recently find out about fifo jobs and it became kind of a new exciting goal to me.

Hey Lucien, ah thanks so much! Glad you like it. When I applied for fifo, I needed a residential Perth address so for majority you need to be onshore based here. Also for sponsor from what I’ve been told from visa agents you need a certain level of experience. In my current industry (hospitality) I need 3 years. Not too sure on the mining front but it was really hard to get my foot in the door as entry level. Hope this helps 🤙🏾

Thank you for sharing this video. I have just started to watch your videos and really enjoyed this one! If this is correct, I wanted to ask, how easy was it to move from a working holiday visa to visa sponsorship?
@BenjaminHardingx9 ай бұрын
Hello A S, thanks for your comment! No worries at all 🙏🏽 glad you enjoyed it (: Not easy, it’s currently being processed at the moment, a lot of paperwork that takes time! My employer has a migration agent that sorts the nomination & I have my own migration agent to do the applications for me. They’re the pros & can make the process easier. This has also cost me fair bit money so get those savings built up 🙌🏽 id say make sure you pick an employer that you feel comfortable to collaborate with & see with long term too. Hope this helps! 🙏🏽 when it’s sorted I try do a video on it (:

Thank you for your reply :). It is interesting to know your experience with getting your employer to sponsor you. It would be great if you could do a video on this to share your experience. I also wanted to ask, how did you manage to get your employer to sponsor you, as I hear it is difficult for employers to sponsor working holiday visa candidates? I will be moving to Perth on a Working Holiday Visa in a few months, so excited to see and explore Perth and WA!
