Why I Decided to Start a Youtube Channel at the Age of 58 - My Titus 2 Journey

I thought it was time to share a little bit of background about me and why i started this channel at the age of 58! I hope this will resonate with some of you and that you will find yourself an older woman to glean from and a younger woman to pour into!
My hope is that we can study and live out Titus 2:3-5 together and bring back the Older Woman/Younger Woman Discipleship relationship. There is a generation of young ladies that need us older women and the Lord knows we need those young ones too! At the same time, we are never too old to learn, so lets reach out to someone older than ourselves and continue to grow! imagine the impact we can make!

I am a 56-year-old woman who has been praying for months now about this very thing; the opportunity to serve the Lord as a Titus 2 woman. I came on KZbin this morning, as I do most mornings, to seek out daily encouragement in my role as a wife, a mother to two adult daughters, a Mimi to my precious granddaughter, and as a homemaker. I didn't even have to "search" today, as your video was at the top of my feed. I am convinced this was not by accident, but rather, an answer to prayer. As I've grown older, I can look back over my life and see how I struggled in my role as a wife and mother. I can't help but wonder how differently this could have been for me if I had been blessed with an older woman who could have helped to encourage me along the way. I recognize that there's a great need for this in our society...in our Christian communities. I have followed your channel and will happily join along in this study. The Lord certainly works in mysterious, marvelous, divine ways! I have no idea how this video came to me, only by a God-incidence and maybe a confirmation of prayer. I live in central Florida, just turned 57 (already a mentor at my 8hr job), and for months I've felt the Holy Spirit tugging me to do something like this. I've been preparing while attempting to work on a prayer bible (from another video that came to me in another providential way). I'll certainly keep you in prayer: may the Lord expand your territory and connect many women to His knowledge thru this channel. Who knows? This could be the beginning of a "Big Sister, Little Sister" Titus 2:3-5 movement. God leads the way and places His desires in our hearts... if we listen to that "still small voice." Wow Dawn. I remember praying for someone older than me in the Lord to help me with my kids. Two weeks later I was approached by a woman in church who asked me if I was interested in a mom's support group. The group was a blessing for all of us. I can remember all the sisters sitting around the table with their Bibles out and pen in hand ready to learn all God had for us. I still long for those days. I am so full of joy that you are doing what the Lord gave you to do which is teaching. You are a Godly woman and bless all who walk in your path some way or another. I love you.

I feel exactly the way you did in the beginning when you said "you felt like you needed someone to pour into your life" the big difference is I am 51 and I never had that all these years. My walk with the Lord didn't start until about 5 years ago. I read about the Titus 2 woman and thought to myself, that should be me. I am that older woman. I feel so ill equipped to teach when I feel I still need teaching. However, I still want to be the Titus 2 woman. I made so many mistakes over the years. My son is now grown and married. I honestly don't know how to mother an adult child. It almost feels harder than when he was little. They are a young couple who struggle. I want to be able to pour into them all that I was missing. (Good Biblical direction). I look forward to watching your channel and learning. Thank you so much for saying "yes Lord, send me". I will be praying for you and praying for Him to strengthen me to say, Yes Lord send me. 🤍

Amen! There is still time! The Lord will redeem it all and it’s never too late to find an older woman. There are so many out there that are ready snd willing to pour into you and help you through this next leg of your journey. None of us are perfect and the enemy wants us to believe that if we are not, then we are exempt from teaching but that’s not the case. He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it! Phil 1:6 He has granted to you everything pertaining to life and godly living. 2 Peter 1:3 You just need to walk in it and we will do it together♥️ Thank you for watching, commenting and desiring more!!

Oh my gosh! This is such an answered prayer!! I'm 35. I came to Christ two years ago and I just feel so lost right now, but I feel this stirring just like you that women are really in need of sisterhood and friendship. I feel like so many are just caught up in if your coming to their stuff or not that they're forgetting to just be sisters to one another. Can't wait to see where this goes. That we need older and younger women pouring into each others life. I have such a desire to connect with women on this level. I do believe God has women that are desiring the same thing. I feel that both age groups doubt that they have anything to offer but I truly believe we gain the most by pouring into each other. I have been praying for God to send me a godly older woman. I pour into lives of women often but I desire a more intimate relationship built on Christ.

Hi Dawn, I am currently in the thick of it. 26 years old with two beautiful children. I am a nurse by trade, my husband works as a mechanic. I feel pulled to go back to work (part time night shift) due to rising inflation prices and needing to make ends meet with the bills. Can you offer advice for the mom who needs to work to assist with finances? My baby is 5 months and 3 year old daughter. My employer supplied me with an unfortunate unpaid maternity leave! Low finances is an additional layer of stress that can be overcome with a 2 income household. I am a fine homemaker and I want to be able to continue this. Gods word says to be a keeper at home. Does this mean no form of income for the wife? I have greatly reduced spending as much as possible, the next step (in my eyes) is additional income. Any advice??

Hi! Thank you for watching, commenting and being transparent ♥️ I totally understand where you are coming from and can only share my testimony with you. My husband and I prayed hard about the decision for me to leave my well paying job with all the benefits. And… we put out a bit of a fleece asking the Lord to provide through my husband who at the time, did landscaping work. We both felt strongly in our spirits that the Lord would have me stay home with the children so by faith, I did. The Lord did not disappoint. He provided through my husband’s landscape work and I stayed home for 29 years with my children. The Lord is no respecter of people and is true to His Word and will guide you. My encouragement to you would be too earnestly pray, fast and seek the Lord in this matter then wait and LISTEN. Sometimes the answer comes in ways we aren’t thinking because we are in the “thick of it.” Could it be that your husband takes on second job? Could you possibly work from home?
