As a person who has begun dating someone with MS, your channel and this video have been very insightful. It's nice to know that many of my concerns are validated, but there's also an opportunity to live a normal and healthy life. Living on the present is much better than fretting for a future that has yet to happen. Communication is definitely key. So let's see how it goes. Thank you so much for the work you both do ❤

Such a good video. It's good to hear spouse view as it affects them as much as th person that is diagnosed, but the emphasis is normally on the person with Ms. so great to hear both perspectives . Well done x

Thank you for posting this. My wife was diagnosed with RRMS about 2 years ago, but we're still learning to live with it, communicate how we're feeling and almost mourning the future we feel has been taken. 😢 I've historically not been very good at not over thinking what might happen in the future, in general. This has really forced me to not do that as much as its just not healthy. Thank you again for sharing.

@@MichaelHartley-n8x thanks for watching. The future might be different but it can still be amazing. It is ok to mourn and grieve, but I don’t recommend staying there too long. 😉

Married 25 years been together over 30+ as well I think we also view things in the present. I also got diagnosed with a very large brain tumour which was found while looking for MS in 2021. Brqin surgery has progressed my MS alot. However I still support others with MS and run the MS Canada chapter near us. I find taking it each day at a time, because MS is always there, when I wake up till I go to bed. I knew I had MS way before I was diagnosed. Eachday brings new changes into our lives, some days better than others. I would say it has for sure made me think more about myself and what I need in my life. Meeting others with MS has been a blessing as well. Also found 1 or 2 others whom also had a brain tumour because of MS. It's very rare. I thank you both for being so open as i will share this video with my hubby. I strive to be that way as well, as it does come naturally often to me.

Beautiful. You two are so lucky to have each other. My husband is in denial and just doesn't understand. It's always I'm fine I'm just lazy and nothing is wrong with me. He says he will never believe it because I look fine and I'm not physically disabled. 🥺 He does go to my neurologist with me and does see what the heat does to me. Do you have a video that could explain this for someone like that to better understand?
