When my hair is ready I relax, I see some people stretching and it's doing them more harm than good. I totally agree to let your roots do the talking.

As someone who’s been relaxed for about 12 years these tips definitely ring true. I tried co washing a couple times and it wasn’t for me, i found that it weighed down my hair with product and made it so difficult to detangle. Extra effort and my hair did not appreciate it. I’d much rather just wait to fully wash it

I learned to listen to my hair and not follow those trends on KZbin. I tried to subscribe to people's channels who know the Science of Hair not recycling information.

Thank you for sharing this. Once i started to do my own hair, I noticed that hat many relaxed care trends seem mimic the natural hair community and it just didn’t make sense at all. So I appreciate your video because i agree with all your points. I don’t use a protective style, co wash, stretch beyond what my hair needs, tshirt dry or moisturize and seal either. My hair is just fine… lol!

Protective styling works very well for me,sometimes I do it just to change my look because I easily get bored with hairstyles. But my biggest lesson is doing what works for my hair.

That’s the way to go Carol doing what is best for your hair😊🙌. Yes Protective hairstyles are a nice way to change up your look especially if you get bored easily with having the same look all the time.

I relaxed my hair every 7 weeks I have true 4c dry hair . No. I stretched my hair relaxer trying to follow youtube and all my hair broke off at the root. If you’re relaxing you’re here you need to follow the instructions of your beautician hairstylist. I wash my hair once a week with roller set. I go to Dominican hair salon to get my hair done whatever she does that’s what I do.

True, stretching the relaxer too much and dealing with 2 textures makes no sense to me but cornrowing and box braiding my hair has worked wonders...i have thick coarse hair strands

I am so glad you did this KEEPING it REAL video and I agree with it 💯co washing always sends my hair into a moisture over load it’s just as bad as protein over load, can’t follow everything on KZbin🤭

Recently came across your videos & I’ve learned so much 💕💕🙌 I stretched my relaxed hair for 8 months & I had some breakage. I’m never going to stretch for that long again

Good content sis. As far as im concern, - i moisturize my hair once a week : cream + oil (jojoba) - i T-shirt dry - i stretch my relaxer to 6 months . Not easy but excellent for my fine n thin hair. I notice thickness n health since i started stretching that long.
@kurlymeka2 жыл бұрын
Awesome that’s what I am talking about doing what is best for your hair so that you can achieve your hair goal, since you are seeing improvements in the thickness of your hair continue to do it as long as it works for you. If your hair care regimen is not working for you at some point in your hair care journey don’t be afraid to change because what matters the most is the health of your hair 😊🙌thanks for sharing 😊
