Why I left Christianity and embraced Hinduism / Sanatan Dharma PART 1

I was born in a Christian Orthodox family in ex Yugoslavia that was a communist country and this is my story how and why I embraced Hinduism.

@@milasor108 Never heard someone's testimony whence they say that THEY LEFT CHRISTIANTY. It is always have been about catholic religion from which they left and not a CHRISTIANTY. Every soul who have come out with "Why I Left Christianity" ends up speaking about catholic religion. And souls know it and understand it that: Christianity is found only in the BIBLE, as a soul takes a bible, sits down and reads it and then start studying it in order to understand it, or we end up misreading the whole bible. Coming to repentance and born again is each soul`s individual CONSCIOUS decision, which child (0 - 20 years) cannot do. It is the CONSCIOUS decision for the adults. No child goes to hell to burn, GOD is not unjust, HE IS JUST JUDGE. Hell fire waits us when we being adults and remain sinners.

It is impossible to have more than one biological mother but in Hinduism one can have thousands of gods. Hindus need the help of more than one god for the fulfillment of life's essential requirements but according to the law of nature or the law of entire universe only one mother can suffice all the essential needs of her child. If a child requires only one mother then why it is that Hindus believe in multiple gods? Why not believe in only one God? Hindus say Krishna is the supreme God then who is the creator in Hinduism? Is not he called Brahma? Who is the destroyer? Shiva? How can a God marry wives and have children?😂 The attributes of One true God are not divided but in Hinduism it is ok.😂 This is the COMMON SENSE that followers of sanatana Dharma lack.

Hi Mila, thank you for sharing your story. The only sad part is that you are no longer in touch with you family (did I get it right)?. I hope that one day you get to reconnect with them, they will see how happy you are and that Lord Krishna has given you so much peace and harmony. I read Bhagvat Gita everyday and offer fruits to Krishna every morning. Offering food was inspired by you but I am doing fruits instead of food because I eat Onion and Garlic and many times I eat leftovers. Beauty of Sanatan Dharma is that we accept everyones path to spiritually and don't criticize or convert anyone to Hinduism (unlike Christianity and Islam). May Krishna fill you life with joy, love and laughter 🙏

There is a traditional saying of devotees in braja about krishna I don't remember that well but it says if you walk towards Krishna just one step, he will walk 60 steps for you. He is so attractive, he attracted you. He choses very carefully❤ You are very kind hearted. Om Mani Padme Hum just means "I am Om (Brhm), the ever effulgent jewel in the lotus". It is essentially the same as "I am Brhm" (aham brahmasmi). Just chanting it may not be helpful without proper understanding of Advaita Vedanta / Mahaparinirvana sutra, to understand what exactly does it mean "I am Brhm". This is something a Buddha / jivanmukta (a person who has attained Moksha / Nirvana) would say. So, this chant is essentially part of jnana (spelt gyaana) yoga, and when done with Bhakti (shraddha / committment), it can take one closer to Moksha (provided one performs karmayoga and raja yoga too).

Be it Vaishnavas or shaivas or shaktas or smartas, we all are ultimately Hindus..we should not be divided calling each others different sampradayas bcz Shiva or Krishna or Durga r diff names of param brahma..so we have to have unity in ourselves as hindus otherwise our survival would be in grave danger

I have great respect for all Gods worshiped in Hinduism. I have taken initiation in the Vaishnava sampradaya that is why i call myself a Vaishnava. The beauty of Hinduism is that all believers respect each other. The same cannot be said about the different sects in Christianity.

@@sB-og6yd yes i know, the Christian missionaries from South India. I have had this experiance with them when traveling in train. This is because of the massive Christianisation in the 16th and 17th centuries by the Portuguese. They are also in Switzerland. When approached first thing I ask is Do you eat meat? If they say yes, which they always say, I tell them because you don't have compassion for the helpless animals I don't want to talk to you about God. They are in shock!

Major difference between religion and Dharma is there are no commandments in Dharma. Nothing in a Dharma is based upon ‘belief’. Everything is based upon collected knowledge over thousands of years.
