@@Zizalaonfire I know this is old AF but: as someone who went to school for biology / environmental science (ended up switching my major in the last year, rip), we are taught that psychology is not a science. Neuroscience and psychiatry are, though. Not exactly sure why, but I think it has to do with the fact that definitions and testing of theories is pretty shaky. IE, you can test the chemical release/reactions to certain stimuli (neuroscience), but how do you test a vague, unquantifiable thing such as “happiness” or “sadness”? Not saying whether I agree with that assessment or not, but that’s generally the kind of argument scientists use.

I think it also cycles back to what you studied in school. Not eating is just ridiculous. Want to lose fat? Ok, small decifit, reeeeeally small like way less than 20% maintenance and be more ACTIVE. Maybe you already know this and just want a role model in your life, but it IS quite common for well educated women to battle imposter syndrome. And on a personal level of the women that are close to me in my life, I would say about three out of four have that, and in completely different carreer paths. I just want to say, you are definently not alone.
