I'm happy my dad has the resmed 11 ! It's been a life changer for him! His sleep apnea was so bad that he was nodding off by the middle of the day and ever since getting his resmed he is full of energy again and responding well to therapy! It's a blessing seeing him get his quality of life back.

It this sort of arrogance from the CEO that results in a b grade product. Look at the Resmed11 - cheap junk fan and no improvement in algorithm. Meanwhile the Prisma 20a is the same price and a much better product. Resmed will become the next Nokia with the attitude of that CEO. Bragging about his profit margin while complaining about paying his workers a decent salary.. I'm sure he'd like to have some slaves as well.

Nico, I agree with you that it is good to hear what PF thinks. But I think that is where our agreement stops. This bloke is so utterly typical of the ethos of the ruling class: “Me and my family get everything, the rest of you can fight over the little that is left.” His contempt for his fellow humans is obvious. His entire great life was made possible by people who pay taxes in Australia and America. How does he repay that? By moving all his manufacturing to Singapore and refusing to pay his fair share of taxes to the places where he lives. His claims to be a libertarian are also typical. It is sickening, really. Look at ResMed. When he stepped down, who did they find to replace him after a global search? Well what do you know, good ole Mick, PF’s very own son was the best qualified candidate among the world’s other 6 billion people! I guess nepotism is a libertarian value. His views on climate change are also risible. 35 years ago the chief scientist of NASA, James Hansen, warned the US Congress about it. Do you think NASA isn’t “data driven”? How does he like the wildfires and bleaching of the GBR? And he thought Clinton was a bigger liar than Trump? It beggars belief. Finally, he says Obama set back race relations 50 years? How exactly? But maybe there was another reason for his dislike? Could it be he was mad that Obama’s US Department of Justice caught them making kickbacks and forced them to pay $40 million? Or maybe it was because Obamacare lowered rates and therefore took a little gravy out of the gravy train? The whole interview reveals what an utterly deplorable and contemptible person he is.

I can't listen to this muppet. For someone that totes being data driven and ignores the clear evidential data in front of us regarding CO2 and global warming (note:: different to historical climate change) he doesn't sound any different to any other CEO I've come across. He digs into EVs and all that crap that I agree with, but all I smell here is someone who is very adept at saying what he thinks will convince the majority that what he is saying is fact. I just started watching this channel and have benefitted greatly from the information provided. I have been using the Resmed 10 CPAP for about 6 years and just switched to the 11. My big problem is that I have been experiencing earaches for about 8 months. These episodes included dizziness and a bout with Bell's Palsy. Since I didn't know this problem could be caused by the CPAP, I went to my ENT, who treated me with antibiotics, which helped a little until treatment ended. The only time I had relief was during the period when I was waiting for my new CPAP and was not using the old one. My Pulmonologist refused to lower the pressure on my old CPAP when I complained that it was so high it was literally blowing the mask off of my face. With Nick's guidance, I have been able to lower the pressure a bit and still get good therapy results; however, my ears are still bothering me on a daily basis. Any help on this would be gratefully welcomed. Thanks!

I was swinging which way to go, Resmed or the German-made machine (need more airflow). After this, I'd prefer to distance myself from this guy. He's a classic intelligent person who thinks he's right and all others are wrong until proven right. The problem with people like this is they miss their own bias in analysing any contradicting data. It can become useless to try and introduce a conflicting point of view. Must be a joy to work with.

It seems like money was his main objective (and probably only objective) for doing this. I think in 2023 it's pretty obvious that severe climate change is happening. Even if it's not caused by people, we have to do what ever we can to reverse it, without a doubt. I don't like EV's either but there are other transport options that are better for the environment. Walk, ride a bike, buy extremely fuel efficient cars. He seemed so very selfish. I don't want to buy another Resmed ever again.

The comment about ice cores is not correct. The oldest cores which come from Antarctica are about 800,000 years old. I am sure the speaker is a good business man and knows his business inside and out. He is not a climate scientist. Those experts agree we are changing our planets temperature faster than it ever has happen in the past except when the asteroid hit the earth killing off the Dinosaurs. I littery have a Luna G3 Series in the cart. Which is better the ResMed 10 or the Luna G3 Series? I now notice that the ResMed 10 is made in Australia. The Luna G3 Series is made in China. I live in the USA and ResMed is everywhere so parts and filters are easy to find. I'm currently using a Dreamstation 2 and insurance won't replace it until 2026. Although a house fire or smoke asphyxia might happen at any time...

Hey Nick- wondering about the Sleep HQ cybersecurity protocols. I've been told the machine data upload is encrypted (Canada). However, if I manually upload to Sleep HQ, it's not encrypted. Newbie to CPAP. Starting with Oscar software which has local storage. My data could get hacked on Sleep HQ. Maybe you could do a short general video on that aspect of Sleep HQ. THX!! Hey mate, a few things on this. Whenever you have data on the net, no matter what it is or who it is stored with (ResMed, Your Bank, The Goverment) there's always a chance of a database breach. That's fact! That being said, here's our privacy policy with information about our security and privacy. It's no different to ResMed which has over 20,000,000 people using my air. Unlike ResMed however we only take the bare essentials to create an account like name and email anyway if anyone paranoid about that then just make up a new gmail account and use a fake name. We're not doing personal I.D. etc checks etc. If you're still uncomfortable with that, use OSCAR.

Health data has higher standards- encryption, internal access restriction, etc. You have a high duty of care taking in such comprehensive health data. Great that Adam has background. What is it?Certifications, etc. Who else? What industry standards are you compliant with? Do you have periodic audits and PEN testing? Preventative and breach handling policies/process/procedures need to be designed into your product and business. Are these in place? Given the sensitive nature, I think more specifics are needed than this general statement. I love your goal but data protection is serious and expensive.

omg.. Philips did the same thing to Imaging. All the eggs in one basket. Bought the best companies, then Philips (usually GE lemons) takes over and everything they touch goes to sheetttt. Nuc Med and CT... sounds just like this guys story. other companies took nearly 40% market in imaging after Philips buys the #1 companies and boom...destroys them. They sold off lighting, and retail electronics.. it looks like Kmart. It should be way to big to fail.. but it fails from internally.

1. Go to your local doctor practitioner explain your apnea, 2. they will refer you to a sleep apnea specialist doctor for a test. After you do your test, at home or hospital. 3. you will be sent to a private Cpap testing clinic, to trial the maschine at home for 4 weeks. 4. After that you will be given the right pressure settings & mask fitting . İt does takes some time to get used to. İt took me 1 month exactly so glad.

I’ve battled unsuccessfully with cpap for 7 years, you come up with this wonderous new machine WHICH AS A PENSIONER I CANT AFFORD. Even if I could afford it then there’s the on going industry of VASTLY overpriced masks etc. Like many people reading your vlogs private health insurance, retirement funds were never to be an outcome in my life. Here’s a thought : so to this bloke doing the blog you’ve presented having made his millions (good on him), how about providing subsidised machines for people genuinely are in need of this equipment? Yeah, still haven't heard anything from the in regards to pacemakers, Though my magnets are over 6" inches away, I still think they should let us know, and offer an alternative to the magnets or at least provide magnetic shielding material over them.

When is Resmed going to "integrate" add pulse oximetry to their Resmed 11? This way the "catching" of apneas and hypopneas will be quicker and provide the patient with virtually no or limited desaturations. Hopefully a company in China will make one with a pulse ox that will be not depend on cagey algorithms. A.I. will just hardwire all the imperfect algorithms into the bedroom.

Hello Niko, question for you OK? I’m interested in the evora full face mask. I sleep pretty much half face into my pillow and I rotate left side right side during the night. Will the evora ffm work for me??? Thanks in advance. Best, Edward

Edward fwiw after dozens of masks (nasal types) and terrible leak rates I tried 3 ff masks. The third was the Evora. I'm a side sleeper and now have zero leaks, it's a fantastic mask and really comfortable with less marks on my face than any of the others. Love this mask.
