I haven't experienced any of the issues presented in the video, either. I love my 11 but am considering picking up a 10 as a travel/back-up machine, mainly because I like the idea of its larger blower doing less work to achieve the same result as the 11. However, one of my favorite features on the 11 is the ability to control smart start and smart stop separately. From what I can tell via a few retailers with whom I've chatted -- and someone please correct me if I'm wrong -- this feature is not available on the 10's (it's both or none). I was also surprised to learn that the humidifier capacity for both machines is identical, 380ml, so no improvement on that front either by backing into a 10. I basically try to go through a whole chamber-full of water and no more each night. Depending the time of year and weather conditions, I'll adjust the manual humidification setting to achieve that. No problem.

Due to reviews, we ALMOST went with the AS 10, but we wanted the features of the AS 11 as well as wanting to avoid the issue where the AS 10 might lose cell service due to 3G being done away with. We also have not had a single issue like people reported. For the first few nights, we filled the tub it to the top line, only to find out that in the morning, it was still 1/2 full (ish). So after that, we just fill to just above the 1/2 line and it's been fine. We do have it set to Auto for humidifier. As for noise, it's silent. I don't know what people are going on about, UNLESS, it makes noise if the pressure is set high, like 10 or 12. Perhaps then it's an issue. I don't know. This one is only set to 5 for now. No noise at all. Reporting is nice, even though it's very basic using MyAir. But I did pop in an SD card and downloaded OSCAR. With that, the info is much more detailed. So far, so good.

New CPAP user. I hav had the 11 for six weeks. I haven’t had any of the issues brought up. They told me when I received the unit to only fill to below the max letters. It’s never leaked or run out of water. For this in dry climates it may be different. No WiFi issues and really quiet. Thank you for your videos. I watched several after I was told that I needed a CPAP machine. Yours are the best out there!

Cheers mate, appreciate that great feedback brother. The humidifier is 'designed' to hold 380ml. That's what's stated in the manual and people do buy these machines on that info as they don't want the water to run out during the night as it causes all sorts of problems. To hold 380ml it needs to be filled to the line which is above the MAX letters. Advising people not to fill it to that level so it doesn't spill is fine but you shouldn't need a workaround solution. You should be able to fill it with the stated capacity without it leaking everywhere. Cheers mate

@@CPAPReviews I find the A11 is a more responsive device so if the environmental air is more dry than of course it's going to use more water. I live in a very dry, cold climate. I use a cheap 1 gallon room humidifier especially when my furnace kicks in, and sometimes when the air conditioning is on. For 6 - 7 hrs of avg usage I use less than a half chamber of water. I love my A11 over my A10.

I'm new to CPAP therapy and I have the Resmed Airsense 11. I have yet to spill a drop of water and I don't remove the lid. I lay the reservoir on a table and open the top (not all the way because that's what causes it to topple), then I pour the water into the chamber and snap it shut. I push it right in with no issues. I haven't had any issues pulling it out either and I'm 65 yrs old with arthritis on my right thumb. As for the sound, I have not encountered that issue either. I think it's amazingly quiet. I noticed from reading product reviews on Amazon, that when a person doesn't know how to operate an item or don't bother to read manuals, they immediately give poor reviews. I'm not saying that's the case here because many of the negative reviews came from seasoned CPAP users. But I find it hard to believe that so many people dislike the Resmed 11. I think it's stylish and looks good in any decor. It doesn't look like hospital equipment so that's a huge plus! I don't know, maybe I'll update my comment if I come across any issues. Thanks Nicko! I really enjoy your videos and have learned so, so much from you in such a short time. Thanks mate! Cheers! 🇺🇸

Same just got mine.. only problem I'm having is when I shut it off in the middle of the night to go to the restroom I struggle to get it back on. On the 10 there is a button on the front that would reset it. Where is that button on the 11?

I completely agree with you. The seal on the water chamber has some give, so a gentle squeeze and pull is all it needs to come out easily. When the seal springs back it helps keep the chamber in place. Personally, I prefer the side loading design over the hinged, button design of the Dreamstation. In my experience, if the moving parts break, they are more expensive to replace than the water chamber on its own.

@@TRACEWORLD2 There's no need to turn the Airsense 11 off when you go to the rest room. Just set the machine to auto off and auto on. When you unplug to use the bathroom, the 11 will turn off and on again when you replug into the machine.

The amount of water the machine uses at a given humidity setting is mostly going to depend on the environment it is in. If your water lasts two nights on setting 5, that is great, but you obviously live in a humid climate.
@dmcmaster3544
@dmcmaster3544 Ай бұрын
@@DoctorSmartyPants The humidification occurs within a closed system. I can't imagine there would be much evaporation from the water chamber with the lid closed for less than 8 hours in a dryer environment. I would recommend using a lower humidification setting if you're running out of water in your chamber.

I just got the AirSense 11 a couple weeks ago and so far, it has been great as my first CPAP machine. What I found is that if you have a mask leak, your water tank will nearly empty each night. I was originally using the n30i mask and only getting about 5/20 for my seal on the app. Over the last few days, I used the p30i and f30i with both resulting in 20/20 for the seal as well as only using about half of the water tank each night. Lastly, if your machine turned off in the middle of the night it may be due to a leak that lasted long enough for the Smart Stop to kick in if enabled.

Maybe place a bit of grip tape on the top and bottom of the tank to help pull it out? I found it quite cheap of them not to include the memory card. They could've passed on the cost to us. An extra $5 isn't the end of the world. I don't understand why wifi wasn't included? I'm sure that cellular is more expensive in the long run with the license and data rates. "Why wifi" was fun to say in my head and even funner to say outloud.

I'm going to record an interview with him about his remarkable invention. Here's the affiliate link - cpap.review/cspring-one . Compatible with the AirSense 10 & 11 Although I highlighted some of the negative reviews. It's worth pointing out there are also many glowing reviews from ResMed customers, and it's still an excellent machine. I scored an 8/10 in my review, but after using it for nearly a year, I think that was a little generous. I've had the 11 for four months. my pressure is from 11-14. If the 10 is quieter, I would be very impressed as I find the 11 to be quiet. For me, the noise comes from the air flow out of the mask. I can see how the tank can be an issue. If it isn't on a level surface, it will spill. I fill mine up I. the sink, so I'm not noticing any spills. I also fill it up to that edge that Nick pointed out. The side mark is inconvenient to use.

11 is my first CPAP experience, so I can't compare it to others. However, I noticed the same issues other users are complaining about with the water tank with my first use. On my 5th or 6th night, I kept getting "high leak" error messages, after which the machine would shut down and be unusable. I could not find any unusual air leaks. On the 4th night of no use, I at last noticed that the water tank was just slightly, really unnoticably, ajar. Fixing that fixed the air leak. (Good luck getting any tech support on a weekend.) I'm ok with the noise, however. I have tinnitus, and the machine's air sounds serve as white noise for me.

The AirSense 11 is my first CPAP and I have had no real issues. The only other one I used was at my sleep study. My only issue with it was the HUGE delay in getting a device. I have had no issue with the water tank. I am careful when filling it and only fill to the Max Fill line. The unit had never been close to empty, if not for daily cleaning routine I could go at least 2 days without refilling. As to the SDCard I do not have an issue as I had many card laying around from cameras. The only time it is noisy seems to be when I open my mouth. But that is still far better than my constant snoring before getting the CPAP. I do not see the same issue as others.

I received my new AirSense 11 last week. I had been using an AirSense 10 since 2015 so I have some experience to compare the 1wo. I agree that the water chamber on the AirSense 11 ia bit more difficult to remove. The ridges on the top of the container for the AirSense 10 make it easier to grip. Once out of the machine my container will lay flat after opening it. It does not tilt backwards when placed on a hard flat surface. I have read that people complained that the water tank on the AirSense 11 did not last as long as the AirSense 10. Both tanks will hold exactly the same amount of water. The issue may have to do with a change in the humidifier that puts more moisture in the air stream which would use more water. As far as the noise level this might be explained by the pitch of the sound. While the decibel ratings is exactly the same, I found that the AirSense 11 had a lower pitch to the sound. Lower frequencies will travel further and are much more noticeable than a higher frequency.

I've had mine for about 5 weeks now. Previously had a dream station. Have not had any issues with water tank other than a little small. Don't fill past the max mark and it doesn't spill. No problem removing or replacing it. No air leaks. Did run through a lot of water with climate on auto. Also got a lot of rainout. Turned auto climate off and set humidity to 3 and temp to 80F. No more rainout. The tank can be a pain sometimes to open. Phone connects BT from anywhere in the house. S11 is very quiet, only hear it when I remove the mask and let it auto stop. Biggest complaint is hose is too stiff and sometimes gets in the way. Overall much better than the dream station and no foam bits and fumes getting in my lungs.

Appreciate this very practical review with lots of useful information. My S9 has been showing the "motor life exceeded" message for months. After 20+ years on CPAP I couldn't care less for wifi etc. Daily use experience is what counts for me. Was about to buy S11 or maybe S10 but the water tank setup looked clumsy to me. The S9 has me spoiled! Open lid, pour water, close lid. Holds enough for 2-3 nights depending on heat/humidity setting. After all these years it is no longer as dead silent as new, but still nowhere near noisy enough to bother. The S9 is a dirt cheap workhorse! I have two, one reserved for travel/backup, so will simply run until the motor dies- and then replace the motor myself for $150! Which is nice, but honestly a little bit of a let-down. Love the look of the S11, and the reduced power draw would be nice in the RV. But its just not worth it. Watching this video sure was though! Thanks!

I’ve had my AirSense 11 for about a month now. Having graduated from an AirSense 10, the 11’s tank is actually a bit easier to fill and avoid sloshing. Of all (4) of the ResMed’s I’ve had, the 9’s tank was the easiest to fill - and that had the option of a heated tube. (You must use a heated tube to avoid condensation from pooling and gurgling.) One feature I miss with the 11 over the 10, is the right-angle tube fitting to the machine. I checked with ResMed, and apparently no right angle adapter or hose is available. The tube going straight-out the back keeps the unit from being as wall-hugging as possible. I did have to adjust the low end of my air pressure range, as I don’t like ramp-up, so the unit starts at the bottom of the range, and adjusts as necessary. At the low end I felt I was gasping for air. We’ll see how the 11’s water tank holds-up over time. The 10’s tank tended to degrade after cleaning, causing leaks at the metal heating plate intersection with the plastic. I do like the basic feedback from ResMed’s app, but it does lack the detail and granularity one might want. Coupled with my iWatch, I can monitor my O2saturations, heart rate, and actual sleep, as the MyAir app only records wearing the mask, if I have a short night sleep, I can still score 100 by keeping the mask on. 😉 After sleeping with the 11 for a while, I do think it is an improvement over the 10. My husband needs a CPAP and I've been researching the options. Before this video, we pretty much decided on the AirSense 11, but now I'm hesitant. You mentioned that you don't like the ramping up option. My husband is VERY PICKY and I already know that he doesn't want to use any machine, but has no choice. So I want to find a way to make this one (or whichever) as comfortable as possible. I assumed that the ramping up was a good thing as I've read others say that without it, when one puts on the machine at night and starts it, the pressure is at full and can be disturbing. ????? You mentioned that ramping uses the number entered, from lowest to highest. Would it be a good idea to first test the machine with a "low" number to confirm one doesn't gasp for air? Is that even a possible thing to do? Example, if 4 is too low, could he try 5 or 6 and once the optimum low-end number if found, enter that into the machine as the beginning/low number and ramping would then start from that? Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.

I have a ResMed 11 and I find it far superior to the Phillips dream station products. I have used Philips for 11 years. ResMed is much quieter and provides perfect functionality. It does not require a memory card because the data is transmitted directly via its phone system connectivity to the manufacturer, the equipment supplier and to your doctor. . The unit connected perfectly to my iPhone 13 Pro Bluetooth with no problems. When I used the system it ran out of air every night and the unit is so smart that it’s diagnostics told me my problem was I was sleeping with my mouth open. I put on a chin strap and guess what, I stopped running out of water. Every day that data is sent to my phone and it gives me a complete data report of how efficient my system worked and how well I slept. It also sent me data on how much air was leaking out of the system because my mouth was open. My only complaint is filling the tank and I found that three alcohol swab packets placed under the back end of the tank allowed me to easily fill it without spilling. Once I corrected, my mouth breathing, I was sleeping eight hours a night without running out of water and using the automatic system to control the humidity in the air. I will never go back to a Philips system, and ResMed has proven its superior design to me, set up as fast and easy and the unit works perfectly. It is even so smart it diagnosed my problem and told me how to fix it. I use a pressure of 14 and I have no problem with noise and the tank does not run out of water. Don’t blame the machine for your health problems. I love my machine.

Less than a week ago, I got a new ResMed Airsense 11 from the local VA hospital. This is my first cpap machine. It is almost perfectly quiet. Many of the reviewers said, "The machine is too noisy." I have not spilled water from the tank even once. Many of the reviewers said, "The water tank spills too easily ... " In eight hours of sleep, my tank drained from the maximum water line, to just below lower line. (All of my cpap's settings are set on automatic). Some of the reviewers said, "The cpap machine uses too much water." The water tank opens easily, with almost zero effort. Some of the reviewers said, "It's too hard to open the water tank ... " The tank is easily removed from the tank well. The tank is easily placed into the tank well. Some reviewers said, "it's too hard to (remove the tank)/(put the tank into the well)." When I place the water tank into the tank well, it slides in smoothly, and the tank's water tube seals properly. Some reviewers said, "The water tank's tube doesn't seal properly." So far, the reviewer's statements do not represent my experiences. You reviewers must be at least ten percent smarter than the machine that you are operating.

Well, the thing is that compared to the S9 (and apparently the AirSense 10), I think the 11 is actually worse on all of these points. You may think the 11 is quiet, but it's still worse than the S9 and 10, because of its smaller higher-rpm fan with annoying tonality. And sure, I don't think it's "too hard" to open the water tank, but it's still needlessly cumbersome compared to the tank for the S9 (and apparently the 10). I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just that since this is your first machine, you don't have the comparative experience of the older machines. 🙂 That said, a 1 star review for the 11 is very unfair. It isn't a bad machine at all, but it could be better (and I think the previous models were - but not in every respect). As I mentioned in my wall of text posted here earlier today, I'd give it 6 out of 10 stars.

@Name Nameson , thank you for responding to my post. I appreciate you, and I appreciate your response. My only problem with my cpap unit seems to be a common problem shared by all cpap users, regardless of the brand used and or the model used. When I initially place the mask onto my face, the mask is properly sealed. Throughout the night, the mask becomes unsealed for various reasons (i.e., movement of one's head, facial movements, friction pressure from one's pillow, etc). Sometimes, I can feel the air blowing gently into one of my eyes. Other times, I am able to hear the unit attempting to reset the seal (like a *pop* sound).

@Name Nameson , when I served in the military, we employed gas masks. Said masks stayed on one's face without fail until one removed such. Perhaps such a mask can be used with the cpap machine. Probably not too comfortable for sleep, though.

I LIKE my Airsense 11! But I never tried to fill the water tank in the bedroom. My wife is usually already asleep, so I remove the tank, take it to the bathroom, and fill it in the sink. If it spills a little, it doesn't matter, and, as you note, if you snap the top back on it doesn't leak. Totally agree, though, it's not as easy as the Dreamstation 1.

Thanks, Nick for your helpful videos!!!!! Appreciate it! I’ve had the water chamber of my, Airsense10, go dry. Usually means I had mask leaks or mouth open. I’m SO-SO glad I chose another, Airsense10 last week, despite pressure from my doctor and DME. I rejected it because it didn’t have a swivel hose and biggest drawback- NO O2 “bleed in port” for hose, which means a connector at your mask. So then you have two hoses going to your face. How ridiculous! SMH!

You’ve made my experience much easier, although I am still getting used to it. I find the device very quiet and easy to use. I have no problems removing the water tub and have never spilled a drop. I can’t understand why it’s running dry for some people. I fill it to the halfway line and still pour out water every day. Now if I can just find a mask that doesn’t drive me crazy I’ll be doing well.

I have no problems with my 11. It sure beats the Phillips hands down. I'm getting a better quality of sleep. My pressure ranges from 10 to 13.5. Both my wife and I agree we cannot hear the 11 or barely hear it. The tank was not easy to open at first, but after reading the manual and checking out the videos online, I now find it as easy as can be. I have learned from my experience with other CPAPs, I never fill the humidifier to the fill line. I have no problem with leakage or running out of water. Opening the water tank is much easier if you move the tank to the edge of the table so your fingers can get a better grip from the bottom. Thank you for this channel. It is both informative and entertaining. It's a Godsend for us 'PAPers.

I've been using the AirSense 11 for a bit over a month, it is my first machine. The bluetooth connection was a bit finnicky when I first tried it but after a reboot of the machine and my phone it's been working fine so far. The first night I filled the water to the top and realised how precarious the water was, so I have only been filling it halfway since, I never run out of water overnight. I also fill from a 2.5 gallon water bottle with a spigot that I have on a higher bench, so I don't need to set my water chamber down therefore no balance issues. I have severe inflammatory arthritis in my hands and I have only minor difficulty disengaging the chamber myself, I usually put my left hand on the top of the machine and this helps steady things so I can easily slide the chamber out. Twice I have had a problem with the seals not being fully engaged resulting in a massive air leak, easy fix to just reseat the chamber. Overall it is quite for me and I do not notice it at all, I suspect because I use a fairly low pressure. Your video was very informative all the same though, but just goes to show that everyone can have their own unique experience with these things! I feel very lucky to have had no issues with my step into the CPAP world (even my mask is super comfortable, was able to use my machine all night from the get go which surprised me).

I have no need to press the on-off switch anymore when I remove my mask and knowing how to adjust the air pressure too. It is fantastic. I love this feature. Thanks for all these great ideas, Nick! I found the tank a bit cumbersome at first but have figured it out over time. For example, when I open the tank to fill it, I hold it facing away from me, with one hand on top and the other underneath supporting the tank. Then I can reach the fingers of the top hand over the lid and open lift clasp with my fingertips, rather than trying to use my thumb. This works better for me.

Once you have the machine, none of the parts/accessories are available online...not even Amazon. You have to go back to the clinic where they will charge you 3-5 times the online cost. Yes horrible tub design. That heated tubing now sticks right out and weighs a ton. I would give this machine and their execs a 3.5. They really screwed people up further in the midst of the Philips fiasco. Thanks for your reviews. You have educated the public immensely with a great sense of humour and accent! Cheers mate!

My experience. The S11 is a bit noisier than S10. I was using a brand new S10 as a loaner from my Clinic for a few months, until my insurance would pay for a new machine. I got a S11 about one week ago. What I noticed almost immediately at bed time is the S11 was creating a windy sound, with a higher pitch than the almost perfectly quieter S10, in comparison. I thought it was the tank was not inserted correctly, but it was. All seals appear fine and my noise pillows don't leak. The noise, although normal for a S11 according to my Clinic, was enough to keep me distracted and delay me from falling asleep quickly. I contacted the Clinic today, returned my S11 and got back my S10. Excellent service from them. If the S11 had been my first CPAP machine, I'd probably thought the noise pitch was normal and would have learnt to live with it. No option for me to keep it in a n enclosure. Otherwise the S11 is good, and my original choice for the S11 was its Bluetooth connectivity, which I thought was a way for future-proofing myself.

I had my S8 Elite for 14 years and it still works. It's too old to trust but I keep it as emergency backup because a replacement for the Air sense 10 would take at least a week and probably 2 or more. I like how silent it is. I could tolerate the model 11 water refill issue, what matters more to me is connecting to the SoClean which requires a special top for the water tank (uses existing bottom tank part). Not having to remove things more than monthly to clean, the SoClean does very well, is very good. I actually think reviewers should consider an extra 2-3 minutes to show it and perhaps a competitor, how it works with the CPAP machine being reviewed. I don't care to go back to the manual cleaning especially the heated hose. One other thing that was easily with the cost and is a great addition to the CPAP is a desktop air purifier. I just the Holmes HAP242B-U which is designed to be tipped on end and used that way safely. In short, it will push fully HEPA purified air right into the CPAP input. I know how effective it is, as I have moderate allergies from wet mold season that is about half the year, and after getting up with no overnight problems the allergies return in 20 minutes. The irony is that it wouldn't be effective without CPAP because the filter goes 8 inches to the CPAP and then down the hose to me while without CPAP it would mix with room sure over several feet and not be effective much at all. Something to consider. The caveat is that your need a decent size nightstand the filter must be on the side of the CPAP input, left for ResMed. Between hEPA filtration and SoClean I only clean the tank and hose every 3 months, there isn't enough buildup to do it more often - unlike the old S8 that had neither. I like your review but these other 2 things make the CPAP, probably regardless of brand, a lot easier to use. Keep up the good work.

Excellent video summary, thanks! I'm about to find out if I can resuscitate my AirSense 10, which has had a blower motor issue. The replacement blower is supposed to arrive today. If I can't revive it, I'll be buying another 10. Regarding the tank, even on my 10, I find that if you fill the tank up to the Max line, the water level is right up to that lip on the hinge side. In addition to filling it on a flat surface and then closing the lid, as you showed, the other thing you can do is just carry it with the tank tipped slightly towards the side that opens, where the sides are higher. I appreciate learning that the blower in the 11 is the same as the one in the Mini. I am using my Mini right now while the 10 is out of commission, and I certainly notice that it is noisier.

Overall, like the 11 auto set but prefer the 10 design.

I went from the Airsense 10 to the Airsense 11 (AS11) and since mine is supplied through the Veterans Hospital; they are the ones that said 'you are getting a new one'. I think it was the upgrade of cell towers and issues with data transmission with the AS 10. I do NOT like the water tank on the AS11. Like he demonstrated it is harder to get out, harder to open; especially for older persons. I only fill to the first line and just get ambient moisture, no Heated hose. I have overfilled/spilled the water a couple times. Another issue my wife and I had when I got my AS 11 was how bright the power LED is; I fixed that with a piece of blue painters tape stuck over the center light on the power button. I have also done that to the TV, our backup power supply and my wife's new AS 11. When the engineers designed the AS11, I think they wanted a new sleek slender design with a feminine touch/look. My 2 cents; who cares what it looks like, I just want it to do the job. I don't stay awake at night to look at it. Actually I go to bed after my wife and put the chin strap and mask on in the dark, testing, blowing out any lint or dog hair (yes our dogs sleep on the bed) and organizing everything when I take my shower earlier in the evening. My other complaint is that they changed to 24 volts, which makes it hard to find a reliable backup unit. I found a build one yourself You Tube and will do that. Did not have power outage issues when I had the AS10.

I'm new to CPAP and the Airsense 11. I've always had an AirDoctor air cleaner in the room with us running on the low setting, and the sound of the air being cleaned is far louder than any noise from the Airsense 11.

Had an 11 for over 13 months. No complaints or problem ever. It works perfectly every time. Using auto start and always works. Sorry to hear about others having problems, but some might be operator errors.

I agree with the people who dislike this machine. The hose design better on the 10. Tank is better on the 10.

I came here to find out if anyone was having the problems I was having. Yes. I have spills and noise. To eliminate the noise, I have to moisten the silicone connection before replacing the chamber. In addition, I took out the air outlet adapter to clean and now it comes out everytime I move the hose. I've actually just received my dreamstation 2 recall replacement and I like it quite a bit. I like the quiet, the better humidification control (less dry mouth), the algorithm, filling the chamber, and the ability to power it with 12 v. It does have a small screen but I rarely need that with the app and Oscar.

New equipment requires new adjustment period. I’m happy with rhe 11 after 5 years with 10. Autoset is a great benefit. I do not hear it as nosier and the water does not dry up overnight.

My first machine is the 11, it did take a few months to get but it's very quiet, no issues filling it. A rep from the company called and walked me thru the set up and maintenance. People are complaining lot about the water tank. Maybe their settings need to be adjusted if it's runny dry each night. I always have extra water in mine in the morning. Call your local rep to discuss your problems. I love the app for the machine too. My Dr can monitor my progress remotely.

Hi there, welcome to the club, There's a good chance there was some manufacturing flaws in the beginning which may have resulted in these reviews. I have few of them and there's no doubt it's a great device. All the best and thanks for watching. Cheers

Just saw this video and thought I'd add my two cents. Been using the ResMed Airsense 10 for seven years with great success (after getting the setting right for me). Just got "upgraded" to the Airsense 11 and thought that it would be a welcome improvement, like everyone else did. I've only used it for one night so far and have already noticed the noise level being a bit higher and the issue with filling the water tank is crazy. It won't sit flat until you put water in it and you can't fill it to the line. I agree with most of the negative comments you pointed out and have the same thoughts. Seems like they didn't think this one through before production.

I've been using C-Pap for over 15 years & the Air Sense 11 is the best of all the machines I've used including the Air Sense 10, which I also have. The 11 does NOT make any noise. If your running out of water you've got the humidity set too high. A setting of 3 or 4 is all you should need. If your mouth is very dry, you might be like me, a mouth breather. You can correct this by using a Full Face Mask but if you can't maintain a good seal you'll have to revert to a Chin Strap. I use the Chin Strap & it works. The Air Sense 11 has my AHI in the 2.4 area and there have been quite a few times when if read 0.0. I'm very Pleased with the AS 11.

New to using a CPAP machine. I've completed only 6 days on the Airsense 11. Water tank jammed stuck after 5 days. I thought I would have to resort to using a screw driver to pry it out. I am a senior woman with neuropathy in my hands. If I had known how hard it is to remove the tank I would have gone with the 10, which I was offered.

I think medical products lack customer feedback in general. There is a disconnect from end users.. too many middle men involved. Family Doctor, Sleep Dr, sleep study center, medical supplier, cpap setter-upper-person, then the patient.

Very good review of both models. I particularly liked the teardown of both blowers which I haven't seen in any other KZbin review. Also, the connectivity issues and updated water chamber design have me concerned. I currently have the 10 pasted its 5th year service life and my insurance will pay for a new machine. So I wanted to know if I should get another 10 or move forward with the 11. I think I will stick with the 10 again and perhaps ResMed will make a better design for the 12th whenever they come out with it.

It depends on your doctor and service provider. I had a 10 but they 'upgraded' me to 11, which I don't like over the 10, but they are not supporting the 10 anymore with the sd card.

I'm getting the "motor life exceeded" message on my AS10, but I don't see the AS11 as much of an improvement, especially when I factor in 1) loss of the right angle hose connector 2) dodgy air tank (though I never use more than 1/2 tank per night now) and 3) smaller motor (that is more likely to burn up). The "burning" smell comments are not very comforting also. I will likely hold off and hope that they fix some of these problems and keep using my AS10 in the meantime. I found my old model 8 which still works, so that will be my backup (that I hopefully won't need).

I’m on day #15 with my new AirSense11 her in July 2024. All of the complaining in the video have NOT occurred, nor have I experienced any of them. The water chamber does not leak. With humidity set on 7-8(maximum), I get full night’s sleep and the reservoir still has water in it by morning. The seals are perfect, there is NO noise. Inserting and removing the water tank can be done easily with one hand. Again, ZERO issues. The cell signal connects without issue and so does Bluetooth. I must have the newest and latest version. Maybe the company fixed the issues since this video was made a year ago.

surprised no one else seems to have mentioned the poor software. for those who sleep at odd hours of the night, e.g. 3-5am, it'll record that session split over 2 days in the software. for example, if i get 8 hours of sleep going to bed at 5am, it'll record 3 hours on day 1's session and 5 hours on day 2. then, on the following sleeping session, it'll record maybe 2/8 hours onto day 2 (now day 2 is showing 5 + 2 hours = 7 total hours). there needs to be a way to fix this!

Can you adjust your timezone on the app to reflect one similar to your sleeping schedule?
@garzascreek
@garzascreek Жыл бұрын
@@courtneybleu260 - Yes, that is the pretty much the only way. Move the GMT offset west by the number of hours you are exceeding the 12 noon day change point during your sleep session. Your sessions will then be all on one day. Your time won't be accurate but that is sort of unimportant.

just got my airsense 11. Its my first cpap and have only used it for 3 nights so far. I was amazed how quiet it was and have yet to spill a drop of water on the humidifier. it did run out of water 2 out of 3 times though.

I have the 11. The water chamber can be cumbersome, but I learned to keep it on a level surface when filling it up and when pick up, to slightly tilt it to the right side. Mine came with WiFi. I have 1 month left for the machine to be mine due to insurance compliance, I hate to change the water so I'd rather use the resmed travel with the waterless cartridge, and I find the travel pressure better. Also the travel doesn't get the mask and tube any rain out so that's a plus. Once it's mine, I'll just keep it as a backup and use the travel instead. I also fill it with the lid attached so I'm not fumbling with 2 parts when I'm already tired and ready for bed.

I received my brand new the AirSense 11 almost 3 months ago and I’m very happy with it..the only problem I’ve ever had is once in a while the water might run out when I have Humidifier set at (6)or higher, when I put it back to (5) I don’t run out during the night. So if you need to humidifier to run (6) and higher this definitely isn’t the one for you because you’d have to fill it up twice a night; which I agree would be very frustrating. Other than that, I’ve never had a problem filling it or spilling it, I just fill to max line while sitting flat on my night stand, next to the CPAP, I keep a bottle of distilled water in my night stand…I snap it shut and slide it in till it clicks or you will hear air. Mine is super super quiet, sometime I have to check to see if it’s on,,so I don’t know why some are saying it’s loud. I take mine with me (2) nights a week from home, hook it up where I’m at, no problems, so so super quiet nobody hears it…Finally seeing some benefits and not being as tired during the day. Thanks for sharing all your reviews, your channel has helped me so much as I get used to using my CPAP, how to clean it, how often to clean the tubing, and also fixing the air leak with my mask,,,,.I appreciate your hard work..

I insert with the top edge ever so slightly earlier than the bottom, and not too slowly. Otherwise sometimes I'll get a leak between the tank and the machine.
