This 02 Ring is a GAME CHANGER and life saver! Thought I was doing fine until I started getting alert vibrations from the 02 ring when it went lower than 90%! I cannot sleep supine- a death sentence for me. Sleep HQ shifts the "power" from the doctor to the patient. The more educated a patient is- the more the patient can maximize outcomes. Collaborative care is the name of the game. Convinced my sleep doc to allow me to buy the Nonin Wrist ox bluetooth.

Do you have a retailer in Europe for the ring? Just started the cpap therapy (AS11) and looking for an easy solution to track blood oxygen levels without a massive hassle moving data from the device to PC software.
@Aiti_ToviАй бұрын
But how do you know how much you need to increase the pressure once you know you're not getting enough blood oxygen saturation? For example how did John decide to increase his pressure a huge jump from 5 to 10? My pressure is currently between 8 and 9- I'm always fiddling around with the pressure. I don't have huge leaks so what is my next step? How do you know how much to increase the pressure? Do I have to experiment by going up one number at a time until I feel good again? I don't use the EPR feature because I have a ResMed 10 and the EPR interferes with the machines ability to ramp up after exhaling during an apnoea event, so generally I feel better without the EPR against a setting pressure of 8, however if I was to increase my pressure a significant amount I would probably need the EPR.

I am so hacked. I just got the oximeter update so I wrote to Resmed to ask how to link my O2 ring. They responded that I would have to contact the dealer where I bought the machine???? They don't know about their own software. What a crap business!

The problem with the O2 ring is that flimsy rubber band housing where it is at its thinnest, it eventually tears and then what…..? Mine did and I managed to patch it up using superglue but it only last a little while the snaps again. I wish one could replace the entire rubber housing.

Wonder why CPAP makers don't ditch their algorithms (estimations) for real data from accurate 02 pulse ox's? If the patient had real saturation readings the patient would be able to alter circumstances like wearing a bumper belt and see in real time how that changes 02 levels. I have less than 5 AHI per hour if I wear that annoying belt!

Great info. Last appointment I went to I'm being told my info looks great but I'm still tired and my SpO2 is still in the mid to upper 80's and no mention of it. I leave wondering if I need to supplement with an oxygen system. Current setting are 5 to 16 on my CPAP. Guess I'll see what I'm getting if I slowly increase the lower end.

Find out what your 95% Percentile is. Stick within 4 cm of that range... Say 12 to 16. Set epr to medium or high (up to you) Tighten up the value within a range of 2... Like 14-16 eventually. Once you've found your 95% figure median... Set your machine to straight cpap mode and then use that 95% figure. Then set epr to whatever you like. As long as your AHIs are 5 or less, you're sweet. Even a few more above 5 is okay if you can't handle the higher pressure range, but epr should take care of that. Make sure your mouth is staying closed at night. Practice tongue sucking while using cpap, look it up.

Nicko, with your experience to date, from many people using the O2ring. How often would you say it gives a "false reading" during a nights sleep...on average? I have some experience with the ring reading out low oxygen levels(like 89-90%) while I was awake and up on my feet. So, It's not a "perfect device" and so some error measurements should be expected...at least, that is my experience from using a couple of these devices for years now(and why I advice people to measure for multiple nights, in order to take into account any fluctuations/error read outs).
@CPAPReviews11 ай бұрын
During sleep it's very good but like all oximeters they can sometimes become skewed etc. The ring is also not designed for high levels of movement :-). The idea is to use them as a helpful guide or screening device in the same way you would use an Apple watch sleep stage data as a guide to sleep quality, etc. I must have looked at over 10,000 sleephq profiles now and the O2 data is looking very accurate overall (from my experience). I am planning on doing some testing with this new $1500 nonin one and comparing it against the SleepHQ O2 ring and some other devices i have like the Circul+ etc so that will be interesting. Cheers
@danieljrgensen13311 ай бұрын
Ahh, you knew about the Circul ring already! I guess I shouldn't really be surprised! 😉 But was thinking of asking you about it. I saw an interview from their exhibition, learning about it getting the FDA approval and some insights as to what made it better than all other rings currently available on the market. Sounded interesting to me overall and like a possible successor/uograde to my current o2ring's! 😁

@CPAPReviews Damn I though I had it until I read this. ResMed AirSense to WiFi? Your AirSense machine does not use WiFi. It transmits data wirelessly to myAir using mobile cellular technology. Your machine automatically transmits data when it is within range of a mobile network cellular and has a strong enough signal. No cell signal on the mountain I live on. 😟
