Can definitely relate to the person "fixing" the irrigation system. We hired somebody to do the same in spring 2023 and he ended up fouling it up much worse than it was when we hired him. After that I got together with my brother and my wife and we spent time learning how to address issues ourselves. Lots of videos. Almost like taking a class. Took a lot of time and effort and parts but we managed to fix and refresh the system ourselves and after many tweaks it now works great.

I agree with everything you said 100%! The tour was going well until I saw the subdivision in the distance. I have the same problem. Lived in the same place for 46 years. It was once rural farmland and is now a concrete and asphalt jungle. Hoping to escape this urban Hell in a few years when I retire as well. Good luck!

Congratulations on your new expanded home/location. I have 5 acres - peace and privacy with no neighbors as surrounding acreage is under land conservation privately owned. I don't have any 'farm' animals but do have deer, turkey, possums, raccoons and birds of all kinds. Look forward to your new home reveal - keep being you wherever you land.

I can TOTALLY relate to your discussion of different worlds. I used to live in Central Texas where everyone was go go go rush rush rush to wherever they were going to. Plus everyone is definitely much more focused on keeping up with the joneses as you said. I then moved to South Texas in the Rio Grande Valley and while you will occasionally see a supercar such as a Lambo SVJ the majority seem to appreciate a simpler life which is refreshing. Good luck on the new farm. I am looking forward to the updates. I LOL'D when you noted the neighbor with 22 kids. Future hires on your farm? 😁

I like your video, I agree with your statements. I’m homeless and without transportation of any kind. And I also made 6 figure wages before retirement. So I know. Keep up the work. Building codes there are poor, I would not buy a house unless it was built. I insulated houses around sandy years ago. Poorly built.
