The ingredients in Millie's skincare line contain extracts not essential oils, at least from the ones you've mentioned. Extracts aren't the same as essential oils (plant extracts vs plant oils). Essential oils are the concentrated, volatile aromatic compounds of a plant, and they are usually extracted through steam distillation. Extracts, on the other hand, tend to be a type of infusion or tincture. The plants are usually infused in some type of carrier oil or liquid to extract the plants' benefits. Essential oils are pure and concentrated, whereas extracts are more diluted and aren't as potent as essential oils. Both are considered to be natural fragrances, but I agree with you on the essential oils though, they should be avoided in skincare because they can cause skin irritation or dermatitis. Much love. 💚🙂
@Hyram5 жыл бұрын
You're right! That was one way I slightly misspoke in the video- oils are definitely more concentrated and irritable than fruit extracts, however, citrus extracts and other 'fragrant' extracts can be irritating to the face as well (although not as extreme as oils). There definitely isn't as much risk for skin damage, but I still try to avoid them because of their potential for irritability!

It's like . . . Kylie Skin but the kid version, and maybe just a step or two above in quality. But it's cute tho, her fans get to support her and at least it's a good introduction to taking proper care of your skin.

saimah patel $20 is a reasonable price for skincare... Millie still needs to make money. She’s not going to make her brand even cheaper than it already is. most teens can afford $6-$22 on skincare if they really want it. $20 in CAD is still only $27. Thats a reasonable price period. Even Neutrogena uses a similar price range and they’re considered drug store. You clearly don’t know anything about skincare if you think charging up to $20 for a skincare product is expensive.
@SilentGallina5 жыл бұрын
I think this brand is going to be wonderful for tweens, lets be honest how often are makeup marketed towards tweens who want to be tweens? Who maybe want something but not like mac or some shit. The prices are more affordable, yeah I agree the skincare most definitely need work the makeup though looks good and I I’m happy to see tween makeup that is *for tweens*.
@nairabee2455 жыл бұрын
There’s literally nothing about what’s available in this over saturated market that makes them need their own niche. It’s not like extremely young skin or extremely mature skin, there’re little difference between what a 20 yr old vs 15 yr old can use. Because there’s already so much variety depending on ur skin type and how much money u have. There’s already sooo much affordable makeup and skin out there that’s actually effective. And some of them even have that preteen aesthetic. There’s makeup and skincare for sensitive skin, acne prone skin, people on budgets, literally everything. There’s more to the market than Mac. They can buy colourpop, elf, wet and wild, Milani, nyx, juvias place, Korean makeup and skincare the list goes on. And many of these brands I just listed have a kiddish esthetic. So I’m really confused acting like a celebrity starting their own line is revolutionary or impressive or teenagers needing something made specifically for them and their own special niche. Celebrities have been doing the beauty cashgrab since the dawn of time. But who knows, maybe her line would be along the lines of fenty😌 we’ll see. There’s there’s already massive amounts of user and budget friendly effective makeup it there. I’m not saying this to knock her down, freaking love her and her acting but valid criticism about a line as potential customers shouldn’t just be responded with “oh but ur never gonna rich enough” uhm duh, but we’re the ones buying the stuff soo🤷🏾♀️. there were valid points raised.

Creating a brand at her young age is absolutely inspiring. However.... how about something more creative and original other than skincare or makeup? We all know she’s not in a lab, mixing and inventing formulas herself. Seems just anyone can do this with the right amount of money. Boring.
@nairabee2455 жыл бұрын
Is it? Is it tho? In a sense it is kind of Inspiring to see a young entrepreneur. But on the other more important hand, she had all the capital, means, fame etc to do so. Kinda like Kylie, the “self made billionaire” not comparing their characters but both come from a massive amount of wealth were starting their own business with a snap of their fingers. Celebrities wanting a piece of the beauty pie is nothing new or special. It was perfume and now it’s makeup and skin care. This isn’t to take anything from her, unlike Kylie her fame was earned. But this is still nothing new or difficult or inspiring. She’s yet another rich celebrity who started a line🤷🏾♀️ still love her acting and think she seems like a great person.
@ari78365 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry to tell you if you follow her on IG she posted so many stories and post of her in the lab and she has been working on this for 2 years you act like celebrities or actors don’t work but how did they get their with snapping their fingers NO they worked so at least she got of her bed and pursue her dreams unlike you making assumptions and the brand is for girls to be specific teenage girls and that line is creative she made a makeup line and skin care line that is vegan,healthy,clean and more and that’s hard to find so stop hating on a 15 year old that is doing amazing things
@nairabee2455 жыл бұрын
Simply Ari no one said she didn’t work her ass of to be where she is. Her phenomenal acting skills have literally nothing to do with this. And ur acting like we’re dragging a teenager for the filth. Nobody was rude and I thought it was quite constructive. To then turn around and say not a single negative thing can be uttered about the line is kinda insane. We can’t have an opinion on this launch that isn’t positive? Again all that was respectful and constructive criticism and ur treating it like we’re bullying her.
@nairabee2455 жыл бұрын
Simply Ari also I don’t follow her on ig so I don’t know the details of that lab situation but there’s a massive difference between posting videos of u in a lab vs actually working there or even understanding what’s going on. Look I’m sure she’s be massively successful either way good for her diversifying her income streams.
@nairabee2455 жыл бұрын
lotus sight which is surprising coz I can be such an immature bitch in the comments😬 but I have absolutely no interest in dragging a teenager. I actually really love Millie. But either she’s mature and knowledgeable enough to handle and own her brand or she needs to be protected from even the slightest bit on constructive criticism because she’s only 15. Which is it? But yea, no ill will against her or anyone at all and I have no doubt it’ll still sell out.

I see many comments not giving her any of the credit she deserves, Yes it’s her brand, yes she has worked on it for over 2 years, and no she wasn’t born into some rich family she worked hard and built something based off of her own passion and dream. We should be proud of her or at least educate ourselves prior to criticizing her whether it’s constructive or just being an asshole(I understand you’re being constructive). 😁

I’ve been using this brand for a while, and it hasn’t made my skin “perfect” but it’s way better than it used to be. However, as I’m looking to even further improve my skin I’m switching out many of the products for things like the CeraVe moisturizer and the La Roche-Possay face wash as well as adding a ninacidmide and lactic acid from the ordinary. And of course a sunscreen. I love the makeup though-I’m 18 and have been using her products since launch and they were really perfect for me, especially the makeup. I am branching out however and although I still love and use Florence by mills I want to try new things too!!

Kinda agree,do we really believe a 15 year old could explains & understands how chemicals work? I don't think so,even at adult age we constantly learning about formulas,active ingredients is hella confusing & complicated. Comparing the knowledges acheived by an adult without a brand to a 15 year old with a brand adds up to nothing. You just can't do that. 15 year old is just too young to start a chemicals related franchise.
