I'd recommend still wearing earplugs for longer rides due to wind. I would also recommend puig wind screen for the ninja 400 and the leovince lv one evo as it has a baffle and a deeper but less aggressive sound
@Zepplin763 жыл бұрын
I second the puig windshield. I bought one to upgrade my stock (meter cover) that came on my z400 (naked ninja). I didn't use loctite on the screws. One was missing one day when I looked. I contacted puig and they sent me a free replacement screw, washer and screw cover. Outside of user error it's been great. Better wind angle (off chest) and bugs clean easier than the stock or rest of my bike.

The aftermarket exhaust you were using is among the loudest ones. If you or anyone that finds this there are a few other exhausts that are comparable to the stock exhaust while being the same if not just slightly louder. Some of these exhaust from what I have seen is Hindle Megaphone (starts loudish but get quieter when the engine is warm), Lextek XP8C, and Akrapovic Carbon.

I got mine with the LV10 Full and I am thinking of going back to stock too. I think you probably will pick up some midrange with the stock exhaust too. I test rode a stock 2022 and it did have more midrange than my loud 2021. Also I like early canyon rides in Los Angeles before the activist bicyclists can make it up in the canyons. They often hog the road (often 4 abreast!) and ignore if anyone is coming. I can get around just fine, but what they do is completely piss off the car drivers who then do extremely stupid stuff to get around them which usually results in them being on my side of the road in a blind corner. . . rant over . . if I do that I need to go early AM and that LV10 will wake the dead. And since I'm usually the only one out at that time a cop could hear me from a mile away. Both not good. I will miss the red seas parting when I lane split but I don't commute on this bike (no traffic on Sunday morning). I have an FZ6 with an SC Project exhaust and it is louder than the LV10, perfect commuter. I also do long distance and you are right that LV10 wont cut it for that. I am sure someone makes a longer muffler (more quiet) that could use the LV10 mid pipe and I may end up there since I would need to buy the stock muffler. Whatever solution that is less expensive and still works/looks good (would love an Akrapovic but not for $400.00.)
