Got the 450ss in May as my first bike. No complaints. I've put 3k miles on it. Plenty of power for size (and price). I topped it at 124mph. Nothing but compliments on the looks. It got stolen and I tracked and recovered it in 30 mins with the app the bike comes with. My opinion should come with a grain of salt because I'm new, but I feel like it was a great first bike option. I, of course, want a 1000cc to eventually be a proper squid; but I absolutely have no regrets. I'm gonna hang on to it and, pass it to my kid for his first bike. For sure would recommend.

So I'm no engineer or bike aficionado. I'm not even going to bug around with checking the comments to see if somebody is already commented. The CF Moto seems like a awesome steal and my assumption of the 50 extra CC's could simply be to keep the bike competitive with the Kawasaki because of the weight. I think that the CF Moto is a little bit more budget focused and that's where the weight is coming from. Kawasaki has had years and money to dedicate to r&d for lighter frames and don't need higher CC motors. With all that being said, I still would pick the CFMoto just for the intrigue and to support the new guys and keep things competitive in the motorcycle market. Competition drives innovation

I went for the CF Moto! Although for months I was really saving to get a Ninja. But sitting on the two bikes over several weeks is what did it for me. I am not sure why but my hips and chest felt really weird when riding the ninja and on the CF I had more space to adjust and sit properly. Good evening, I am a 74 year novelist. I am currently writing a spy mystery novel based on Motocross and sports bikes. I have never ridden a bike before but after doing the research on the sport I would loved to have started riding motocross as a young man. I was a college athlete in the 1960s and 70s and played some professionally for a few years. My reflexes were always super fast and still, to this day remain fast. My eyesight is good, though I wear bifocal glasses and i have great peripheral vision. Most people think I look at least 10 - 15 years younger than I am. I walk a little slower than i did in my youth. I am in great shape according to my physician. That is the back ground to my question of you. I plan to take the MSF course this coming spring with the hope that I can actually buy and ride a motorcycle. I have come down to the choice of either the Ninja 400 or the Ninja 650. However watching this video has added the CF Moto 450SS to the mix. My desire is to drive the local roads here New Hampshire . I don’t have to commute anywhere as other than writing I am retired. I will just be doing fun rides and I do not plan on riding much on the interstates…but would like to be safe on them should I need to use one. I am 6 foot tall and weigh 200 lbs even. What are your thoughts and suggestions for me? I am leaning to the 400 as I do not feel i will need the extra power of the 650 and your video indicates to me that the 400 and CF 450 are pretty similar other than weight. And for an old guy like me…weight might be a factor. At my age I want the bike that will fit me well. Since this will most likely be the one and only bike I will be purchasing your suggestions is very much appreciated. Thanks for your thoughts. Sincerely, Tom

people arguing reliability like its even a viable point. the 450 JUST came out, lmao "WELL THE NINJA WINS BECAUSE OF THIS NON EQUITABLE ARGUING POINT CF CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT CUZ IT LITERALLY HASNT EXISTED LONG ENOUGH YET!"😂😂😂 sound logic. lmao

Along with other things. "cfmoto got everything but hey what a slightly light bike this is, this thing's better" They didnt even mention how ridiculously light the clutch lever is on the cfmoto, being way lot better for a beginner

I want some of the 400 on mountain roads, I know my 450ss will pull it corner to corner, then the ergonomics, great brakes, stiff suspension will make it superior, stock to stock of course. Gearing ratios on the CF corner to corner are perfect, you think in the lower gears that the CF isn't that fast but banging gears 3-5, it mph's really well, that means fast btw... Old expert roadracer here, no better than anyone else but do know enough to be dangerous. Gonna put some super stickies on and take it to Deals soon, downhill sections, watch out:)

I've just never been a Kawasaki guy, I've always been a Yamaha guy.... but if they start coming out with quite a bit of aftermarket support for the CF moto, then most likely I will buy one of those in a couple of years when that happens. And I'm willing to bet with a few minor modifications that the CF Moto can save a lot of that excess weight. Im positive that muffler is easley 15 lbs or more....

I am 42 bigger guy 250 buying my first bike. I've road quads, 4 wheelers and even 3 wheelers, I was looking at the 400, but came across the 450 one day. Keep going back and forth on which one. With me being a bigger heavier guy would the 450 be a better option. I had a sales man try to talk me into a 800 I walked away think that is WAY to much bike for me.

my question would be: is the cfmoto smoother over the bumps due to the heavier weight? if it's more comfortable, faster, 270 crank, plus more streetable powerband with lots of over rev.. well the cfmoto sounds pretty good.. but i really do prefer the appearance of the ninja 400 and the analog tachometer.. can't all bikes just be inline 4's.. i learned on a 600 yammy so these twins seem so cheaply made to me but i guess the economy is shot with all this inflation

the ninja was like buying a 2023 model keypad phone with ordinary lcd display to cut cost and still brag about it and trying hard to say good things out of what bad things we see to sugar coat an intentionally made to cut cost bike for a high price using kawasaki brand. It's not the brand, it is about what effort they put in that bike.

I really don't know if you know China, but being burnt by CF Moto 650mt I will say stay away from Chinese motorcycles. The only saving Grace was the court decided in my favour. I immediately purchased a honda transalp 750 and 6000 miles in I think it was the best decision of my life after what I did to myself buying a Chinese motorcycle.

"whjat is the extra 50cc for?" okay, you asked multiple times so i'll tell ya.. the extra 50cc is so the bikes tune can be toned down, and you get extra reliability for little extra price ... ie: no need for expensive strengthened internal engine parts with a smaller engine that has basically the same power and torque.. the 400 gets the same power, at the cost of a more expensive production process.

@hamoodrex7 ай бұрын
Now we need a video where you guys talk about just regular bikes. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to go 200+ km/h on the road. But at the same time, im not looking for a budget 250 bike that cannot overtake for its sake. You keep mentioning 300-500 range as if it is something only for beginners. What if I just want to spend my entire life doing only this much power. it depends from person to person. But we need a battle of the bikes that can be used for lifetime. How long can a ninja 400 stay in my garage? will it work on city busy roads, day to day commutes? Can it stay in my garage till my kids grow up? etc... Can you please post more bike content about people that want to buy them just for commuting and getting across the city in a safe manner? I say this also as a 23 year old, in my country I am limited with a 125cc. Eventhough my bike gets me to my destination, when it comes to overtaking or going highway speeds, it does nothing. So, I want to focus my search on the more reliable, lasting, power bikes. I get that chance next year when I hit 24 wooo

It isn't in the U.S. yet but they do have the 450SR-S has adjustable forks and more let me know what you think of it if you ever get your hands on it please and from what I heard I was told the mpg is alot better on the N400 than the 450SS
@Daniel-dj7fh Жыл бұрын
I don't think you need adjustable forks on a 450cc bike. But if you don't like it you can progressively change the fork oils, springs and maybe even get an adjuster kit if you want. The only thing the sr-s has from what I can tell is that single sided swingarm, which could be a pain in the ass. Since you'd need a special bike lift for the back, the torque for the nut is probably stupid high and you might need a new torque wrench if you do the chain yourself, etc, etc. Also smaller engine less fuel consumption, that's common sense. If your cup is small and bigger cup, you can't drink more from the smaller cup than from the big cup. The analogy has a lower limit tho, and that's on a 125cc, you might have higher fuel consumption on a 50-70cc because you're revving it higher when riding. But on normal street use more cc means more consumption.
@dannyclemons4850 Жыл бұрын
@Daniel-dj7fh when I said it uses more fuel I meant it uses like 7kmpl/16.5mpg more than the n400 at least from what i heard I could be wrong but to me thats a huge difference

Ok i have a CF MOTO 450SR they red line at 10500 rpm i have vdo on KZbin of my vandemon exhaust sound check it out Pros: Great brakes Good torque Handles well Build quality is good. Price point good Cons : paint quality is so so Electrics are average especially blinker relays Bike is built back to front 👇 in some areas Throttle grip houseing is crazy odd and clipons retainer bolts are underneath And to remove the rear sets you have to remove the swing arm pivot spline The bike has huge potential if you spend some money and time on it

I'm not comfortable with calling these "Beginner" bikes. These are serious motorcycles and capable of rapid acceleration and high speeds. If one of my offspring were going to buy a motorcycle to learn on, I'd suggest a 125 or 250cc bike.
@johnluckett7119 Жыл бұрын
Why does every bike less than a super sport bike less than 900 cc's have to be a beginner bike. A toyota corolla is not a beginner car. Been riding 30 plus years and would enjoy riding most bikes.
@Daniel-dj7fh Жыл бұрын
Because it's what Americans call it. Moto3 is a whole ass Race Division, and they're riding 300's. I'd not consider those people beginners. I personally have vowed to never get a bike over 100hp (unless I have no other choices) because more power is unusable and wasted potential. I don't ride track, and the Autobahn is boring af. I want an i4 sportsbike, and there are only two options atm.

If one bike starts early and is going 3 mph faster before the other bike begins to race, the first bike will continue to pull away at the rate of 3 MPH even if both bikes accelerate identically, so don't think that because the Kawi didn't reel the CF Moto back in that the Kawi is slower.

The ninja isn't really a good choice not big on old school tech, on bikes made on 2023-2024. We have progressed in 2023. I think Kawasaki get complacent and thinks they have no worries.
