Hey, Alberto, I hope this comment reaches you and doesn’t get lost. Wanted to say a huge thank you for the motorcycle riding tip videos, they had a huge impact on my life. Back in 2018, I was diagnosed with blood cancer, went through chemo and a bone marrow transplant. But I decided not to give up on motorcycling and in 2020 I took part in a local (I live in Lithuania) championship racing in street-superbike class (rode a cbr1000rr then). I have followed your tip videos as a guidebook and it greatly helped me to become the champion back then. Furthermore, in 2021 I upgraded to a s1000rr and took part in two championships at the same time and became a champ in the intermediate class in one and finised 4th (among over 20 riders in both of those) in the other one. I am reaching the superbike levels for my region, with a huge thanks to you. The cherry on the cake is that I will be coming to Italy in start of May and will ride my bike in Misano to improve further. If there’s any chance to meet you and shake hands - it would be an honor for me. You said you race to win - well the content that you make inspires others and everytime I (or anyone else who follows your advice) wins - you are a part of that victory too, remember that. Thanks for the great content.

As a fellow racer who started late (24), it's sad to see you quit man! I hope the message you left about age does not discourage people, because I am trying to reach a world championship despite starting so late, and I want to prove that idea wrong. Hopefully I can get there, as this year I'm in the European Championship (FIM CEV), so maybe I can continue to encourage others to chase the dream. Hi Alberto, I hope this comment reaches you. On New Years Eve in 2000 my ankle got crushed between two boats while celebrating on Sydney Harbour. It partially healed, but was very painful to the point where several years later it was seized up and I could not walk without a limp. I was told by several doctors that it would only get worse over time, and try not to overuse that foot. But, I found an amazing masseuse and after several weeks and many many hours of painful massage the "white blood" (lymph) and blood circulation was restored. My ankle has since returned 100% to normal and I started riding bikes on track a couple of years ago with no problem. If your ankle is still a problem I'd recommend finding a strong masseuse, at whatever the price.

I had a similar issue in my lower back and had to quit racing 25 years ago from a big crash. Picked up car racing and after 25 years got back on the bike to help a friend's son learn to race. Pain wasn't too bad and I managed it, but after a couple years of helping amateur riders move to expert, I can't even ride for 2 laps without the intense pain coming back. So enjoy car racing and I look forward to new informative video's.

Don’t give up man, go for the ankle arthrodesis if the pain is limiting you. One year ago I had a bad accident with astragalus fracture, yes a pretty rare injury, that I still recovering nowadays, but improved a lot since I decided to do the ankle fusion surgery a few months ago. Look at Jules Cluzel in World SuperBike, he rides with left ankle fused with an adaptation to shift on right side. I wish the best for your career, good luck🤝

Hey Alberto, I recently found your channel, and someone who is new to bikes at the age of 48, I learnt ALOT from just watching and listening to you. Your accident on your bike was bad, and clearly it was a tough choice, but you have your whole life ahead of you to do with as you choose (that's the plus side). Hope you continue to do vids of bikes, maybe some of the skills you have learnt and how they translate to safer road riding, (maybe some advance riding tips). An old friend I used to race with, was a die hard rider. He would crash and jump back on the bike. He would never take a break to recover properly. After over 15 years of doing hardcore racing non-stop mind you, I read he eventually died of old injuries that never healed. Racing is dangerous, especially if you push to the limit. If you are able to not push to your very top you can last, but you will not be as fast of a rider.
