my natural hair is down to my waist and I really do not even bother with it for a good month and then I have one day where I have the energy to detangle and wash it. Natural hair, especially longer and thicker and more dense is a lot of work so I get it sis

😭😭 sis I feel you. I gta wash my hair by force every week because my scalp gets so flaky real quick compared to 5 years ago. then again I'm in different country where the water is hard yet it encourages hair growth for african hair texture. I too stay crusty for a while 👀 cos it's alot of work. Chile.

3:20 is exactly the reason why I've stopped doing KZbin videos. Off camera I wash my hair in 30 mins but it'll take me an hour to record, I also have to record detangling, the moisturising, combing 🤯 its a lot. It legit becomes a full day of recording. Not to mention the more hours for editing as well. It really isolates you from the world and not a lot of people talk about that

I can understand wanting hair that is easier to maintain. Especially if you have thick, coarse, and dense hair that naturally wants to tangle around itself. Thankfully my hair isn't thick or dense, just bushy which gives it the appearance of being thicker than it actually is. I personally would never want to get a relaxer again (I did it for about 7 years) for several reasons, health being the main one. I don't miss the burning or chemical scalp burns. Even the most skilled professional can make mistakes. It was also hard for me to maintain length when I had relaxed hair. I think everyone should do what's best for them, whatever that is.

I'm coming back to the relaxed hair community with opened arms lol. I cannot wait for more manageable and straight hair. I love my 4c hair but the time it takes is a lot.

I had relaxed hair since I was a child then last year I decided I was tired of my relaxed hair as it was no longer growing as I had expected it to grow,it grew up to my shoulders and stopped growing ,I was doing protective styles for the longest trying to grow my hair but I gave up when my hair was standing in one place and was not coparating with me ,so I did cut my hair last year and this year then I thought of doing a 4C Afro as I'm seeing here on KZbin you guys have great Afros so I'm trying my luck in naturalhair this year for the first time in my life.

5 hours to wash hair?? shuuu that's hectic. I've been on and off natural for 15 years and in that time I've learnt that DIY's on my hair are a no no. Wash and go, yes. Anything that's time consuming, to avoid frustration on my part, i outsource. Your frustration is understandable. To do it yourself takes time and then it's recording and editing and and and😣😣. Seems like a stressful job and relaxing was a necessary escape. Nonethless you still look beautiful sis🔥

5 hours! Can you imagine? 😂💀 I love that you do what works. I wish I could have gotten away with wash and go’s but as my hair grew longer, the more time it required from me. Glad I made this decision! Thank you sis ♥️♥️♥️

If you’re 4b/c and you have LONG DENSE hair then yes it does take that long. My hair is mid back length so detangling alone takes 40 minutes and I have to do it before I shampoo or else the shed hair gets tangled. I shampoo in 4 sections which also take long yet it still gets tangled so i detangle AGAIN as I apply my deep conditioner. Then I blow dry to keep my hair stretched which takes an hour. Then i plait it. Wash and gos aren’t cute on me my shrinkage is insane. Plus they cause matting on my hair i learned that when i tried them after my big chop. Im over it. I booked my relaxer appointment for next month. Its been 11 years since my last one. I can’t wait

Hi Kaizen....I understand how you feel!!! Yoh like I've been growing my afro for about a total of 6 years now, and I've had it. I used to be the person who used to tell people not to relax their hair but ai ngeke after my last wash I was like no I absolutely can't continue like this. I've also been neglecting my hair and that bothers me a lot. So, I came across your video while I was questioning the recent decision I've made to relax my hair and you have motivated me to go right ahead. I've only told a few of my friends and family and none of them support my decision coz they know how difficult the journey of growing good healthy hair is but they don't understand what I'm currently going through. So I have decided to have a big reveal sort of like a surprise for the rest of them coz I know the whole lot of them will also have an opinion. But you know once you've decided something about your hair, cut or relax, no one will change your mind.

For some reason you look beautiful and different. The next day after relax, how did you moisturise your hair? Like when should you start mouisturising it,with what? When you can you start braiding your hair? (Relaxed hair is so fragile)
