The parallel with the printing press is the internet in general. The social media age is a bit like the Reformation followed by the English Civil War.

Dude there is lots of stuff out there about how bad social media is, you can't equate the printing press to social media, it shows how little you know. Also the mai nsocial media platforms people criticise are twitter and facebook, not youtube.
