Why Imane Khelif controversy exposes flaws in Olympic gender testing

Forget the social construct of gender identity, the way one is raised as and assigned at birth; what's important is identifying the abnormality of chromosomal makeup (karyotpying), histology report, bone density, and testosterone levels. If the evidence is conclusive with a high confidence interval (non-manipulated and non-politically-motivated), then Imane is either a biological male or intersex, which in my view should disqualify Imane. This is where it's not anti-LGBT but actual biology.

1) I box and know that there had been complaints about Imane Khelif for years. This was before the IBA tests and their involvement. Female boxers, coaches, and boxing organizations filed complaints about Khelif being a man ever since he started in the adult womens boxing circuit. Look at his fight with Brianda Cruz from a year ago. He almost massacred her, and he's walking into her punches without flinching and with his guard down. He's not afraid of Cruz and can withstand her punches. He's also holding back a lot. That's a red flag. 2) This was handled privately initially. The IBA tested twice and found Khelif was a biological man. Khelif was given the opportunity to retest at the IBA's expense. Khelif refused. Khelif could have appealed and did so initially and then dropped the appeal and so he was banned from the world championships. This was over a year go when these tests were done, so Khelif knew about his genetics at least in 2023. 3) Khelif applied for the Olympics anyhow despite the genetic tests and despite being banned from the World Championships. The IBA sent a letter with the test results to the medical team for the IOC a year ago to warn them about Khelif. This was not done publicly, but a private letter with the test results. The IOC didn't respond and allowed Khelif in. They said they only use passports to verify biological sex. 4) When Khelif boxed Carini and Carini didn't last in the ring because her nose was broken and she was bloody, people knew Khelif was a man. His build, the blows to her face, and blood within 46 seconds are red flags of abnormal strength. The IBA was then forced to do a press releae on their website saying they told the IOC a year ago, and Khelif knew a year ago as well. This was now a safety and dangerous game that the IOC and Khelif were playing. 5) The IOC president, Thomas Bach, did a press conference and disregarded the IBA and their results. The IOC said they don't do testing at all. They only look at the passport. The IBA was then forced to do a press conference in Paris because Khelif was getting ready to fight more women and potentially seriously injure or kill a woman. Even the VP for the World Boxing Organization came out and said Khelif and several others were biological men. 6) The IOC has done nothing (not one single test) since and allows Khelif and other biological men to compete in a woman' s boxing competition. Khelif and his team try to drum up sympathy and do interviews and bring more attention to their so-called "private" situation. If it's private, then why does Khelif do interviews and constantly post on social media about it? 7) Khelif dresses, walks,talks, and sits like a young adult man. Khelif literally wears men's suits, clothing, and jewelry. It's so blatant, and Khelif posts pics on his Instagram flaunting it. He doesn't care because the IOC isn't stopping him. This is essentially what happened. Everyone knew, including Khelif, and they are not going to stop until a woman is killed.

There are a few cases where the line is muddied but generally yes. I'm strictly against transgender in women sports but I'm not sure what to make of intersex. If someone is XXY I guess the best way to figure this out is to find that person is producing testosterone from the testes. If yes, then that person has an unfair advantage. If no, then that person can compete.

Imane Khelif's father presented to the public Khelif’s birth certificate that classifies Khelif as female. However, the birth certificate was only issued in 2018: 19 YEARS AFTER Khelif's birth and right AT THE START of Khelif’s professional boxing career. Highly suspicious, if you ask me. Another thing I find suspicious is why there are no pictures or videos of Imane Kelif wearing any kind of traditional Islamic head covering, even though Khelif's family are all traditional Muslims and adhere to the Islamic tradition that females ALWAYS cover their ENTIRE HEAD when in public. Imane has an amateur record of 41-9. She only has 6 knockouts to her name. She only made it to the quarterfinals in the 2020 Olympics. Some will make you believe like she has this overwhelmingly physical advantage against everyone she faces. Boxers fight according to weight classes. Everyone she fights is in the same weight class. Nobody cared until she landed a good punch (which happens because... well BOXING) and her opponent quit. Her opponent that was a sparring partner for her before. Anybody suggesting Imane should not compete against other women simply is at best misinformed, and at worst deeply misogynistic. This isn't a story about a boxer who is an unstoppable force due to an unfair chromosome advantage. This is a boxer who has gotten better and better over the years due to hard work, discipline, and dedication. She is to be celebrated, not dissected.

@pepesilva you are wrong. the IBA has the facts on their site published „ Imane Khelif has been participating in the IBA competitions since 2018, and Lin Yu-ting has competed since 2017. Current IBA management, having been in leadership since December 2020, has been on top of the problem from the very first IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships they conducted in 2022. IBA cannot comment on the previous iterations and lack of leadership actions in this regard. Following many complaints from several coaches, boxers agreed to gender testing. Blood sample collection was made on 17 May 2022. Sistem Tip Laboratory from Istanbul (License Number: 194-MRK) issued its report on 24 May 2022, after the competition ended. The laboratory detected results that didn’t match the eligibility criteria for IBA women’s events. Khelif won the silver medal in category 63 kg, Lin won the gold medal in category 57 kg. One test for each athlete was not enough to make a decision with respective consequences; in the case that one test mistake is possible. The lawyers advised to monitor the situation and to contact the IOC. IBA informed the IOC representatives about these tests, but no reaction followed from the IOC side.“

But this time, they couldn't stop her because all Algerians and other countries supported her. This racism also affected the Thai athlete, Lin. If they were European or American, they wouldn't have faced all these accusations. The double standards in the West are truly appalling. This is so easy: instead of women’s sport, start a female category that intentionally discriminates based on sex. You have the main category where anyone can compete (which will be dominated by men) and a female category where you have to prove your eligibility to enter. Some people are not XY or XX (I have a cousin that is XXY or XXX… she’s female, she’s given birth), but still everyone is either male or female. There is no third sex.

No, A shower won't prove anything. She has all her female parts, womb ovaries fallopian tubes and a vagina. She has had these since she was a baby. It is her Y chromosome that is the issue. Women with XY chromosomes can have increased testosterone levels, longer arms etc.
