I hate to correct you but just like there are about 2% of population who are actually blond, blue eyed, white, there are also people who are actually black haired, black eyed and with a black skin (with an almost blue undertone). They exist, there are not enough of them, to be a desireable market, but they are there. The Girl in the first video isn't even that dark brown.

It isnt that nobody is that dark. It is that they just put black face paint in a bottle with no nuances. Even if a person is that color they still want depth and sheen. There are undertones to black skin. Come on. This is the same thing that you would paint a wall in. Flat. Black. They went to Home Depot and squirted some Behr flat black interior paint in a bottle and called it a day. It is the lack of trying for me.

That’s not true, there are people that dark and they’ll likely use that shade as a contour shade tbh. That said idk about this particular brand but it has its uses. Also a lot of brands are releasing odd foundation shades in white, red, green and even black for cosplay/ theater as well.
@Galworld7614 ай бұрын
@@dinkybossThis is not as cosplay brand. Where is the White Out White for Caucasians? Or the sunset yellow for Asians/Latinos? This can’t be used on skin because the only tint is black oxide, therefore when you mix it - you get gray. It is literally the color of my black eyeliner. This woman is supposed to be a make up expert. She is running around looking for some to match tar black. The darkest black skin has a blue undertone. This was flat black paint. The model did the side by side, you could barely discern the difference.

I’m less mad about the foundation and more disappointed in the jump between Shade 600 and the next shade down. There’s so much missing between the two. I just think if you’re not going to make an obscene number of complexion products these days, just don’t make those types of products. In the world of 50+ shade ranges, you will always look bad by releasing less than half of that (unless you’re just putting out a tint).

An argument I be seeing is that it's just a "mixing shade" for black people to use to make another one of their shades darker to make it match. First question, why should black people HAVE to mix their shades while light skin people can just take their shade off the shelf. Second question, WHY SHOULD THEY HAVE TO BUY TWO BOTTLES?? It is $48, buying two bottles is $96 not even counting tax and shipping. Korean, or just most Asian, brands are always known to not accommodate to dark skin, which is why people including Golloria are mad about it. They are trying to claim they are inclusive to dark skin while not actually being inclusive.

Also, black is not a mixing pigment. It will just make the foundation look ashy/grey if it doesn't have any undertones
@PeacefulSeraph4 ай бұрын
If you are very light or very dark, you almost always have to buy a mixing shade. I have to buy white to add to concealer & foundation to even come close to my shade. When I was growing up, they only sold clown paint as a mixer, & that rarely mixed well with anything, but I didn't have a choice. People also shame you to buy bronzer or self tanner & tell you to go to "Asia" for products... but no one sells them light enough. They shame you if your skin is dark too, offering lightening or bleaching products instead of products that match your skin color. This world is f&d up if you aren't a tan or medium shade, which is 90% of the products on the shelf. And the 10% will never get a single product because we don't make up enough of the population for these makeup brands to make money. Honestly white & black mixers aren't too expensive if you shop around (& they're not opaque like shoe polish- they'retranslucent). I don't see there ever being a time when people don't clown on people with pale or dark skin offering them goth colors instead of real skintones. One can dream I guess...

Well one of these influencers Golloria was actually sent one of their foundations before they expanded their range and even though it was the darkest foundation it looked very yellow on her. So the company issued an apology, decided to expand the range and this time around literally added black face paint as the darkest shade. We know this because when you look at the ingredients of this foundation it literally has only ONE pigment CI 77499 which is just black iron oxide…pure black pigment. Unlike their lighter shades that combine at least 3 in order to create various colors and undertones. No one has a skin color that’s just pure black just like nobody has skin color that’s as white as a piece of paper. The person who created this foundation couldn’t even find a model that matches this shade.

I'm digressing here but I throw the same shade at her for you as I did in the commentary video earlier; she is what Chinese novels describe as Bai Lianhua aka White Lotus. A naive and gentle looking lady with soft words and behaviour, but the inner quality is malicious and shady af. The best thing she could've done is to accept the criticism as the best way to expand her business and clientele ranges, but she just went "I apologised and acted busy, and did produce what you asked for so here it is, black paint because you're black. Am I a genius or are you using this asap? I'm catering to you, so buy it then" but put out the laziest and cheapest shade she didn't have to think about twice. Spam her IG with White Lotus lol.
