yea, i mean, i knew he was revealed, but his Blockmaster gimmick is basically gone. he now have some buffed moves to compensate and made him faster. you can at least combo nicely with his teleport.

Actually, almagest counter's range is limted, in fact its pretty small. Im pretty sure that its range cant fully even Prima Vista map. The only not EX moves, with infinite range, are: Emperor's starfall, Exdeath's mealstorm and Kefka's Trine.

Damn it's been over a decade and this is still of such high value to me. Ive always been a fan of final fantasy way before this game came out so releasing a game having all main characters as well as the villains from all previous titles as playable characters is just amazing. I still play it every once an a while and most may have forgotten or not know this game but its still one of the of not the best retro game made

I am considering buying a second hand PSP just to play this game again. I had more than 1,000 hours in this game. I absolutely love it. The newest one (NT) is not as fun in my opinion. The combat felt so clunky. I hate the 3v3 combat. The worst of all, I miss the old Shantotto voice. The voice in NT is too high-pitched for my taste.

​@@Eifi_7 Exdeath is really hard to master, aganist a real player who plays someone like Zidane, its impossible to react to anything, and if you react wrong, enemy gets a free punish, + main problem, its always enemy turn, if one doesnt want to attack you, you have almost nothing to do with it.

Damn dissidia is just amazing, i use to play it every single day beating the shit out of lvl 120 enemies lol it was ao good and fun to master all characters and exdeath was one of the hardest for me, jecht was so damn fun and prishe ufff combos for days, every single character has its charm

considering exdeath pretty requires knowing all 30 matchups (esp. when omni-guard is so tight in timing while the other blocks while more lenient do not have the highest priority), tier 1 is well deserved in a game where that's shared with a keep away bitch who spams projectiles like no one's business yet has two perfect close ranged tools anyway (ultimecia), and a supercracked melee fighter (prishe)

She is extremely powerful and can warp reality, but Exdeath and Kefka have done so much worse and so soon into not only their respective games’ storylines, but also lore. Exdeath damn near destroyed two worlds *and* unleashed the Void within about thirty years. Kefka destroyed the entire world and took out the Warring Triad within a couple months (time is weird in RPGs; it’s extremely hard to tell, so I’m being really generous with Kefka).

The only flaw about Exdeath even if you master at his block attacks is that he's a very slow moving fighter that you wouldn't even want to use him in the story mode

The only time you can use him in story mode is the Confessions of the Creator part, in which case you just have someone else lead and traverse the map for him, then swap back when its time to fight. And in actual battles... well, that's why he has Reverse Polarity.

Damn, one of my favorite villain character to play. I always set my character to 1HP so that the ai will always attack using HP attack. Meaning you can predict their attack pattern and ready the omni block. O can even beat Feral Chaos lvl130 (using this 1hp build) in under 10 minutes back in the day.

Only true counter to Exdeath and Jehct in Dissidia was Tifa. A good Tifa main executes feints perfectly, a great main can bait guards, but a flawless main doesn't have to feint.

@@m8.614 LMFAO Sure. NT is about as in depth as Jump Force is. The original 2 Dissidia were literally how you do customizable fighters with RPG mechanics. NT literally took away the depth from the first 2 and made it as cheap and basic of an anime fighter as you can get not to mention the awful camera and weird physics. Even Smash Bros Brawl is a better more competitive fighter than NT.
