I cancelled my TV Licence thanks to watching here, just over two years ago did a non needed TV Licence statement. now I just got awhile back a re-newing statement saying the same again so I be not to do another for about one year and three quarters! However the TV Licencing lot just emailed me asking do I still not watch TV live? Again even though I already am on their list of not needed one they still asked me? I've never had a single doorstep visit. Really a pain for them to bother me even though I am still listed as not needing a licence! really what a load of nasty people.

You should call up on the 26th or 27th December and say that you cancelled plans on Christmas day so that you will be in for the sales person calling. Demand a letter of apology signed in wet ink from the owner of capita and give them 3 working days to have it at your door. 25th December is a day that they know almost everyone will be watching something on TV. If they do turn up which is highly unlikely then just ignore them.

I done that a few years ago. I won't communicate with them to tell them. They sent letters, I look for a return address, if it says Darlington, I don't open it. Anyway, it's not addressed to me. Had a goon turn up, unfortunately I was caught out coming down the stairs, so opened the door. He asked me was I Mr Brown, I said who are you? He said something, but mentioned something about BBC licence, I said no thanks and shut the door. Carried on my day, no further goon visits I know of, but occasional letters, just bin them.

Just over two years ago I had a cycling accident and ended up with brain injury, almost died. I'd always bought a TV license but it expired while I was hospitalised, I was away from my address in hospital so I didn't see or read any of my mail for over a year. When I finally got home still alive fortunately I started watching my TV again and didn't apply for a license I got letters from BBC and then a visit by enforcement I opened the door and said "no thanks" shut the door and he walked off. I still get letters and have a blink camera outside my door now...I can't wait for someone to come from enforcement, this time I get to record and audio a conversation, first question from me is "do you know ChilliJonCarne 😂😂😂 foxtrot oscar" I'm feeling much better now just waiting for a good laugh.
