Nice one G. I am married to a Thai and we were both laughing out loud at Fai’s giving a banana to an elephant analogy. I can see that will be used against me but maybe I will stop dishing out the bananas!!. I have an American friend of mine from Florida- everything seems to cost him 1,000 baht - laundry, small grocery shop, take out food - give his wife 1,000 baht and he would never get any change LOL.

Thailand offers a lot, we have great internet, low utilities, great food at reasonable prices. Yes it depends on your financial situation but that is true for anywhere, I choose to live in Thailand because of the overall cost and quality of living. There are also very few places that you can leave your computer on the table and pick up your coffee and still have it there when you return.

The lifestyle and spending power in Thailand , give you more value and you can save alot of money .... generally with Thai women , its about your personality and the resource you have from western countries that makes a difference to them and in return , they are feminine and submissive , so its a win win .... Also the culture is more warm and welcoming , so for the most part , its about stress free living and simplicity .

Hi Greenie, I used to travel in southeast Asia for work including @ a dozen trips to Thailand. The longest I've spent is around 2 weeks including trips to Phetchabun, Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Due to loose ends here I won't be able to leave for around 12 to 18 months. I hope to have around 2200 a month, I trust this will be plenty to live on. What would you recommend as far as initial length of stay etc. BTW, I am selling my home here and plan to stash my most important possessions (guitars, golf clubs and a few keepsakes) at my brother's until I make a decision on a more permanent move. Any thoughts or resources would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Greeny , you are probably a good person to ask this question since you are the thinking type at least in appearance. What about intellectuality reciprocity in the relationship , do you have to enough or do you miss it, because I know that will be my dilemma if I move to Thailand, or is a trade off, or is just about the daily activities and motions of consumerism, which I am jot interested. For me that is the issue, if I am going to condemn the rest of my life to the mundane activities most of them which are not of my intellectual interest but I still have to do them to keep my lady some how entertained and interested or pleased?
@GreenyTravels2 жыл бұрын
Not easy here with most girls. Many will want to live in their own Thai word. TV videos world events new etc. will won’t be easy to find a girl who will relate to us. Luckily in my case. Fai is up on work events, reads and writes English so it’s not bad but still not like being with an educated westerner. A little of a trade off.
@quantumprotocol60452 жыл бұрын
@@GreenyTravels thanks, your girl seems to have a bubbly personality meaning even is she doesn't have all the knowledge or interests you do she compensates by knowing how to keep you on your toes or engaged so you don't lose interest, besides, I see that even though she is simple in nature not a gold digger she knows how to get what she wants. The fact that you opened a salon for her means that she at least have ambitions and desire to make something out of herself, self improvement. I think if a man wants to keep engaged in a relationship the devil is always in the details. My issues are different than your average expat, i don't have and never did had any problems getting any woman I wanted, is just that I know too many from different nationalities, that I scrutinize too much and am not impressed easily , it helps that am 6.3 and we'll built, I take care of myself and now I usually fast from 5pm to the next day just to keep my weight in check because that is what my body demands and that is going to be an issue with a young Thai woman because I know they don't pass on any meal so I don't want to make any girl miserable , that is reality, so its either company or longevity that is the question :):):)

Despite the awesome exchange rate, I must say money goes fast in Thailand...And a Westerner without money is not too desirable...The reason I came back to the USA I realized I can earn A LOT more and SAVE a lot more here. In Thailand, I'm going out to eat 2-3 times a day and getting a massage 3X per week and not earning very much. I'm in San Francisco Bay Area where even minimum wage is $17 or 646 Baht per hour and most places will pay more than that to stay competitive and here I am more disciplined (grocery shopping and preparing my own meals). The benefits also provided through employers also give me peace of mind. In Thailand, I was always afraid of having a medical emergency and not being taken care of...If I slip and break my leg, would paramedics show up and assist me or would they show up and ask for money before assisting me? Or do they not show up at all...Another big factor for me has been air pollution. Way too many vehicles on the road in Thailand which should be in a junkyard that are emitting a lot of pollutants (old buses, old cars, etc.).

Look up piriformis syndrome if Fai has the beginning of sciatica, caused by sitting too long, needs very specific treatment, extremely painful if it kicks in properly.

Hello, good morning❗️In which place this video was shot❓️Do you recommend any place to live my retirement there❓️Condos with seaview, beachfront and clear sea water are a must. Buy or long term renting❓️The lady next to you is a caregiver❓️Thanks

Aloha Greeny! Great video on a great subject. Pampering while on holiday there is sort of expected, but to enjoy it full time might take some getting use to (but I'll try!). Upon moving there, I sure hope to find a girlfriend as I think life is more fun with a partner (plus help with language issues). Happily, 30 years difference in age is not impossible. Bill
