Thanks, I see the diversions around us as a program to flood our senses keeping us always stimulated with things to see and do, robbing us of every peaceful moment we have. Being away from these diversions, and instead being in quiet nature is my answer 💜

Thank you for this video! I'm into my fourth month of consistent meditation and yoga practice and I can say that it gets easier, but there are also days in which I get nothing but flooded by thoughts, but I learned to not let that discourage me! Even if I didn't have time to do a meditation practice when I usually do it, I try to squeeze in a 5-10 min rest somewhere within my day, sometimes before going to bed as well in order to unwind all the built up energy and stress throughout the day. You can do it, just keep going! It gets easier, the hard part is doing it every day, but it does get easier!

One of the BEST explanation for this challenge of getting started with the practice of meditation. You connected some dots for me that I was missing and now can see the bigger picture. Ty! ❤

I've been meditating for about 4 years, and it was much easier to concentrate on my breath and "get in the zone" at the beginning compared to now. Now I find it very difficult to avoid thinking. There are times when I sit to meditate and I don't even remember that I am supposed to focus on my breath from the first moment. I often realize later that I never even began meditating by trying to slow down or observe breathing or focus on a mantra. I sat and began thinking without even noticing it. I've begun trying transcendental meditation recently. I noticed that I am able to repeat the mantra in my head AND think about my life....at the same time. Does anyone else have this experience?

The mind is getting you to sit down "...or to get up and do something...". This is a hilarious statement, Nada. I think it's wise to learn how to widen the hole in the doughnut, that is to say: how to increase the meditation-quality in my every-day life and -activity. Of course in concentrating on this m-quality, I find myself actively doing less or trying to do anything while noticing (or not) all the mindful possibilities running by. When asked what I did, yesterday, I often answer, "Nothing". This has become an acceptable answer for other people now that I've become "retired". Now, though, people sometimes pick fights with me with, "But you can't do nothing all day; you've got to do something." And then they make great suggestions about things to do, like joining a chorus, going dancing, getting dressed - whatever. Some of these things are, indeed, wonderful things to do. In doing them, I often have the feeling of doing nothing (which is most enjoyable). I sometimes enjoy tossing a ball into the air and watching how it rises, slows and falls back into my hand without its stopping. The point/zone of renewal is a wonderful moment for me with which I identify and reference. I'm not actually "still" in doing this, but am "interested" in the ball's trajectory, but mostly not doing anything.

Hello Nada, I was wondering if your videos could be added somewhere online as sound files so we can listen to them without video (when gardening or doing house chores or simply with our eyes closed (and KZbin app closed too 👌🏼) just a thought. You’re insight channel has been a great find and great help to me x

It seems difficult because meditation is what you are .....it is not something you do.
