What if the drain pan is not slopped toward the condensate drain line?

Yeah I'm pissed. High efficiency heater. . Condensation is not flowing to the condensate line which is dry. The slope must be off. What should I do?

You'll need to adjust level and make it plumb. You might need to install a new drain line or possibly use vinyl hose to redirect condensate b

If the exhaust is blocked going outside. Will this cause the condensation to come back to the inductor motor?

No very helpful. Didn't show how to check any of the problems mentioned. Just a commercial.

I have a ton of rust in my furnace, in all of the interior walls.

I discovered that the number 1 reason why this happens is because (hard to believe that almost everyone underlooks) the furnace is sloping the wrong direction. In other words its draining the wrong direction causing condensate to accumulate and overwhelms the gasket. Its much easier for a installation tech to level it and let it burn or leak and burn the inlet motor. But check the direction of flow of drain. It should be going away from not into furnace Furnace owners check level of furnace check what direction slope!

yES BUT HOW DID YOU ADDRESS THE SLOPE IN THE DRAIN PAN WAS IT A SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT. WE CAN NEVER GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER OFF THESE WEBSITE VIDEOS THESE PEOPLE GIVE STUPID VIDEOS ABOUT THIS MOST COMMON NEVER PROBLEMS. I was curious and, on my furnace, noticed very little condensate draining. I also heard a swooshing sound . I was more curious and checked all corners for level and realized that the furnace was sloping inwards and not towards draining. I then leveled and adjusted slope to help drain not accumulate. It drains a whole lot more condensate, and swooshing sound is gone. Depending on how off the level is, you can use a pry bar to carefully lift the furnace slightly and either use stainless steel washers as spacers or even wood shims.

Never buy a high-efficiency gas furnace they don't even last a couple years before problems occur I have had four new ones in a row and every one of them broke down. Low efficiency 80% gas furnaces is the way to go !
