A lot of females generally, get this very unusual locked up hip joint and pain. All assessments and scans show the hip joint is healthy BUT the pain and stiffness that comes on suddenly from an awkward to innocuous movement causes the hip to lock up and it can be stuck here for a long time!
What is going on?
Nerve locks are ignited in the hip muscles and glute muscles. More explained in this video.
Thank you for watching my videos. I hope they help you get better quickly. This is my mission. Please if your pain / dysfunction / medical issue is NOT RESOLVING OR HEALING please consult your trusted practitioner.

"Welcome to The Nerve Needle Guy channel, where you'll learn about a revolutionary treatment for chronic pain. My name is Jim Bostock, and I'm a physiotherapist/pain specialist with over 20 years of experience specializing in musculoskeletal pain, strain counter strain manual therapies, visceral manipulation, and energy healing work.
I founded the Bostock Institute in Brisbane, Australia, where I treat nearly 4000 people a year who come to me for chronic pain they've been enduring despite having gone through the medical system. My treatment, the Bostock Needle Technique, targets and releases nerve locks in muscle and nerve fascia that are often missed by other therapies.
My mission is to share this new concept for pain and problems in the body that don't make sense and chronically limit the way people want to live. Pain that debilitates and creates unhappiness in life. Through my clinical studies and anatomy studies over 19 years, I've compiled data from over 100,000 patients/cases, making it a very consistent and valid treatment that works for people.
This innovative concept has led me to work with incredible people all over the globe from top tier athletes, entertainers, entrepreneurs and the general public from all walks of life.
On this channel, you'll find educational videos on chronic pain, nerve locks, the Bostock Needle Technique, and more. Subscribe to join the community and learn how to truly heal and be free of pain and dysfunctions."

‼‼Please help! I'm an active male who has had these joint locks you describe for over 6 months now. I've been doing frequent chiropractic, stretching, foam rolling, etc in an effort to alleviate the lock in my hips. I'm happy to hop on the phone, pay for a program, etc. Anything to fix this. Your video is the first video that describes exactly what I've been feeling in my hips. It's been the strangest thing considering how active and healthy I am. Please help!

I have had this for many years! Yes, it is stress. Dry needling almost killed me with pain!!!! Yes, Orthopedic acupuncture worked better, but like a massage it only lasted about 5 days. This destroyed my hip and I have put off a replacement with, meditation, somatic stretching, rollers, balls, and swimming. It's slowly unlocking and getting stronger! It got so bad it caused 1 year of crippling sciatic pain. Don't put it off, as it will only get worse and not one doctor will help you!

Shani, has you had you hip xrayed? These are the symptoms I had when my hip needed replacing. I put it off for 8 years and just gave in back in March this year. If it's your hip, don't put it off. My recovery was much harder because I let it go too long and lived in pain for way too long. Wish ing you the best.

I have never been able to sit criss-cross comfortably! My knees won't go flat.. I'm going to try some stretches for the next few weeks & hope they help! My right side is definitely worse & I was a clencher My whole life, teeth, muscles (but, thigh, pelvic) U name it! I started the Gym 2mths ago, but I'm also 43 with new RA & fibromyalgia (15yrs)... I had a 2nd baby (both c-sections) at 40 & want to stay active as long as I can (kuz most days are soooo tough physically, I'm in tears 😭) I've done acupuncture, all types of physical therapies, tons of medications, shots, etc.... & no "cure" & My weight didn't matter fat or skinny.. 20yrs ago I was in boot camp & i had a bunch of car accidents (like 15 in 20yrs, not My fault either, just a magnet I guess 😢 the last 1 was the worst, hit head on by a 17yr old kid who just got His license😢 in 2016) I still have tinnitus & hearing loss from the airbag!

Great video! I’ve been searching the internet to find this precise problem and just now I found what I was looking for, I think. I’ve always been active and have done yoga with no problem at all. One day my right leg from my hip area or psoas started feeling weak and painful to walk. I was limping. Especially from a sitting down position to walking. I started doing glute exercises and it helped, but when I cross my leg I feel a tight pull to my knee (pelvis through inner thigh to knee). I found a bulge on my left lower back (hip/pelvic region) when I press on it I can cross my right knee freely. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Good information but referring to women as "female" and men as "men" in the same context isn't ok and is indicative of disrespect towards women. While there are some contexts it makes more sense to use male/female over man/woman there's never a context where it's appropriate to call women "female" while calling men "men".

Umm. That's silly. I use female all the time. There's literally nothing offensive about being called a female.

Nadia I am exactly the same. I've been like it fir over 4 years now. I believe it's the cause of my back pain and knee pain as well. I've tried telling so many professionals my hip feels stuck. Only to be told to stretch hip flexors etc which hasn't worked. I have had dry needling on my hip fkexor before to relieve pain which worked a treat but even with their examination of my hip nobody has said my nerves a blocked and needing can help it release. This video made me cry. It's exactly what has happened to me. I have complicated PTSD, had breast cancer, and Grave's disease (4th time), pernicious anemia all brought about from intense stress and shock. 3 suicides my son and daughter first husband. 3 cancer deaths my husband, mother-in-law and niece. Domestic violence after all this from my youngest, my other son trying to cope with grief. Now I am dealing with complicated PTSD and this painful problem neither of my hips will open at all, my left hip is worse than my right and I'm in constant pain. I feel like a hypochondriac because I'm alwats at the doctor and they can't find anything wrong with my hips. A few months ago when I had a pap smear it couldn't be done properly because I couldn't open my legs. I've been suffering now for over 4 years. I also suffer from hip pain on my left side from the top of my hip all the way throughout my buttock around into my groin and it also causes my hip to lock up the paIn often travels all the way down to my ankles and my knee swells up some days feellike it's twisted. My left foot also turns in now and when I try to turn it out it causes pain all the way up my leg through my knee and into my hip. My right side is starting to go the same way. I have been looking at videos to try to fix the problems because exrYs show there's nothing wrong except slight bursitis in my left hip burser.

But did 25 years of emotional crisis, , adrenals shot. was life threatening. Just realised, its root chakra, survival stuff (from when I was born, plus last 25 +years,,,70 now, but was very fit, a gazelle) Root chakra shot and nerve blocks etc. I can hardly walk left leg, cant hardly cross ankles, cant part knees, no hope of ankle on knee and horizontal and would break sitting cross legged. Done a million exercises, physio yada yada. Im in Ukraine so... no nuthin. Are you Australian? Hopefully coming home if you are must meet. Checking your site out.

I have struggled with this locking on one side. Will try these stretches, they do feel good. A very deep hip flexor/runner’s lunge kneeling stretch sometimes unlocks it as does a series of swings of that leg front to back as far as able. When locked, it’s very painful and there is no rom. @@JimBostock there might be an explanation to this. I was practicing judo (green belt) more than a decade ago, when one day, after class, we did a stretching period where one of the poses was sitting criss-crossed. Many of the judokas could do it with ease, while some had a bit of trouble to get in the pose. Me, I couldn't even bring my knees below my ribcage. So, our judo teacher came to me and "helped" me get my knees at least at hip level, and then it happened: both of my legs got out of the hips sockets, and it was the worst pain I ever felt in my life. Got to the hospital, stayed there for an entire year in order to repair the muscles and tendons of my entire hips, then to re-educate myself to walk and sit with assistance. We didn't file a complaint at the judo teacher, but he was fired after that whole episode. Nowadays, I can walk fairly long distances (up to 8 miles per day), but I still sit with upper assistance (using a table or a wall to sit). Also, my doctors forbade me to ever move my legs sideways outside my body shape, otherwise the repairs already done would be broken and unhealable.
