Just bought "Darwin's doubt" and "Return of the God hypothesis." It's funny, I didn't have an interest in science in high school whatsoever, but you've presented in a way that makes me want to know more (I first learned of you on the John Ankerberg show a couple months ago). I hope to someday meet you and have you sign my books. Definitely wish what you do got much more attention. I'm African American and culturally it's just not common for us to go out of our way and buy or get into science, but you've sparked an interest in the language and a new life's journey

Earth is where the Biblical story begins. Salvation is what the story is about, and Jesus, the Word of God, is the story’s hero.

The force of the planet
@Mindhumble Жыл бұрын
Hmmmm, just had an epiphany, maybe the way we describe science is completely wrong. The "forces" which we assume are absolute entities, may be nothing more than God moving things directly, but He does it in such a way so that we can see patterns in what He does, presumably so we can function in a world with stable predictability. In other words the laws of nature are essentially the way that God decides to manipulate the world according to patterns He sees appropriate. So gravity or any other "force" is not really a force in itself, rather a description of the pattern that God usually operates with.

What if: God, in eternity past, conceived the cosmos, and when he spoke, the universe came into existence in a form that is billions of years old. In the same way, everything in creation was made fully mature. Then from that moment, everything proceeds forward, including light in real-time.

Have you read Great First Cause? "Endless space and duration cannot be created nor annihilated by any being, but their continuance has been and must be eternal" "Admitting the contingent truth, that something now exists in space, as nothing cannot produce something, therefore, it follows, as a necessary truth, that something must have always existed in space."

Axis of Beginning is an excellent book, very informative and entertaining. I particularly like the “What if's...” The possibilities of how God may have made, formed, and created the universe.

The Moon doesn't affext rivers and lakes. It is likely not the Moon that does the trick.

The moon is moving away from us. At a very small rate. 2" a year or something like that. But if you believe the Universe was started millions of years ago, Like Mr Meyes does, you have a serious problem. Just like we will have a million or 2 years from now. Love Stephens work, just don't get why he can't see the Universe is young. He knows so much about science.

God holds the universe together by the word of his power. What if God constructed the cosmos as a great engine to move physical space-time forward? Wheels and gears, fine-tuning and calculating every point. A supernova over here, a comet over there, and galaxies everywhere. I imagine our creator has a perfect sense of timing, and God invented it for His purpose. Yes, the universe is one big clock, Tick-tock.

And the moon gives off its own light as it says in the Bible. We always thought it reflected the light of the sun. Science proves now that the moon gives off its own light.
@JD-hk7oe Жыл бұрын
No buddy, the bible does not say the moon shines its own light. Isaiah 13:10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises and the moon will not shed its light. Ezekiel 32:7 And when I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover up the sun with a cloud And the moon will not give its light. The bible makes it clear that the moon itself not the source of its light, by the mere fact that without the sunlight, it would be no "Lesser light".

So a man who's Christian is saying God intelligently designed the Universe. Was it his god that made the universe? Or the Hindu god? Was it the Greek gods? Oh no it couldn't be them. Nobody worships them anymore. Which religions god made the universe? This is the problem with every single one of these intelligent design arguments. In the end it will always be the god he worships that made the Universe. It is simply another way for religions to appropriate scientific discoveries for their religion. This applies to any religious person making this claim. The truth is nobody has a damn clue if the universe was made by anything at all. And that is the discomforting reality of the situation. His book should be titled "My god made the universe hypothesis."

Please read the Quran, I’ve been watching your videos and you’re preaching Islam without even realizing it. The Quran is the verbatim words of Allah many chapters are named after biblical prophet. Jesus(pbuh) was the last prophet sent to the Israelites, when they Denied him, the final messenger Mohamed (pbuh) was sent for humanity. The Quran hasn’t changed for over 1400 years. It’s memorized in its original language. Just read it, without prejudice and ask the Creator to guide you. If it’s not the truth nothing will happen. But if it is...”then where are you going?” (81:26)

Did you know that Allah was the name of an Arabian god long before Islam came to be preached? The name of the God of the Bible is Yehovah, Jesus is another separate spirit being, the first of Yehovahs creations. The Bible contains a curse for anyone adding to its message. Revelation 22:18. Beware that you do not fall into wrath.

@@marieindia8116 the name of God in an Arabic bible is Allah. Allah just literally means The God. “Among His signs are the day and the night, the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them ˹all˺, if you ˹truly˺ worship Him ˹alone˺.” (Quran 41:37)

i think you will find that both religions got all of this from judaism.
@Mindhumble Жыл бұрын
@@marieindia8116 well the old testament says that too, so i would be very careful using that criticism against a muslim from the point of view of a chrstian as you would be doing the same thing.
@hdrabba Жыл бұрын
@@Mindhumble that’s actually the point...Quran says Abraham (pbuh) was neither a Jew nor a Christian (3:67). Side note: Judaism began with Jacob (pbuh). Jews were waiting for a Messiah but when he (Jesus pbuh) came they rejected him, while christians turned Jesus(pbuh) into a god so Allah sent the final prophet to return people back to monotheism. All prophets came with the same message (worship the unseen, all powerful God and follow his law for ur time)
