I love it. I told people that in the long run it doesn't matter when a popular set gets a reprint. How many people said it'd be $40 for years to come? Idiots. Evolving skies was printed way more than 151. same with Eevee heroes. Nuff said.

If you like opening 151 then buy Korean or Chinese 151 boosters boxes, those 151 booster boxes are more affordable than English or Japanese and fun to open

Sparks… it’s 2+ Japanese sets. So it’s larger than the last few US sets, more rares, more chances for value. It’s already had the Latios/Latias reveal. Stellar Crown/Shrouded Fable lack big name chases. So you are likely seeing the money people have held back spending on the last two sets flow into a set that seems worth getting excited about.

4:47 Really? Sells were low on 151 when it first came out? Man, that's the set that got me back into Pokémon Cards. It made me spend close to $2K in boxes... and I never pulled a damn Charizard SAR. Hell not even a Charizard SR. 😭😭 For my money situation, it's definitely overspending too. Blew my leisure budget for months.

History tends to repeat highly when emotions are involved, even more when coupled with supply and demand. Remember the toilet paper debacle during the early onset of 2020? The Costco line before it even opened. 🤦‍♂️ The financial markets are the same, this keeps the prices of stocks moving when they only release earnings 4 times a year, but each second of the trading day, price move up and down. As the great Warren Buffett says, buy good quality stocks when nobody wants them and sell when everyone wants them. In the case with Pokémon, all sets are good, as value goes up over time.

The weirdest pump currently is the magikarp Ar pump from triplet beat. There are 25k yes 25000 PSA10 of that card and smh it s still worth ~$70. Funny thing is there is a triplet beat reprint comming next month (right?). So I wonder how high that psa10 pop report can rise lol.

Yea, it wasnt that expensive when it came out - higher than average for sure but that was all. Super weird pump and also mostly english only, japanese is way cheaper

@@flookaraz I think the value of the english one is somewhat understandable. It s way harder to pull and get good grades on. The japanese one however is in every 4th box on average and 90% of all graded modern japanese cards get a 10. There is no way a rational market values that card above 50EUR in PSA10. There are 10times as many japanese versions than english ones and the market for japanese cards is way smaller than the english one.

weather its good or bad is kind of irrelevant when it comes to new sets. its just supply and demand. it should not be confusing, the pattern for every set is always the same. it comes out, scalpers buy it out, there is no stock, price goes up, no one card buy it cause no one has it in stock, no one can afford it because scalpers raise the price. it makes sense to pre-order everything while its new and cheap. simple.

Nahhhh. English 151 is still cool ;). Masterballs are 2x as good, yea, but people Sleep on the fact that it’s the FIRST EVER English set to have god packs/demi god packs!!! You can pull whole evolution lines out of 1 pack!! I should know, I did it!! Charmander and Charmeleon IRs and Charizard SIR!! About the same odds as pulling the greninja outta TM!
