@@sundanser True, their AP Itemization is like an elementary kid trying to design mage's equipments. "dmg but will lethal in 2 rotaion", "More dmg but it's massive dmg later on. It's growing exponential AP make sure no one will survive any single fireball", "Massive shield that scale along with their infinite mana", "Pure dmg tool, pure destruction power". And so all the fantasies only extend that far, no further than that. All AP items fit into 2 label: Black mage; White mage with a burn or with low cd. All the exciting nitches & flexibilities are saved for physical theme items, both defensive and AD. Qiyana is AD for no fkn reason; Kata lives a much better life after getting on hold of AD items (R & E apply on-hit but are not counted as auto attacks therefore her ad dmg can't be counterd by "Rock solid"(warden's mail passive) and Thorn passive); Convert ad into not ad dmg, ignore armor mechanics, champs like Corki Camile GP ... thrive in consistent scaling; There're Rammus Malp Taric, but no MR version champs, Galio Mundo reworks have nothing to do with that anymore, still no new real mage hating tanks. Some general theme items: Spirit visage, Banshee (AP is needed), having MR don't make sense. There's nothing anti magic in blocking a Sett punch or trying to out live some dps. Rito's creativities with their magical theme items are fucked.
