Coincidentally the youngest princess of the royal family had gone missing when the royal family was eliminated. Reinhardt concluded that felt is likely the princess and wants her to get the throne that is rightfully hers.

At the end after the fight with bowel hunter, felt is going to give it the sigil back to Emilia when Reinhardt stops her. From what’s shown technically Emilia never got her candidate emblem back and what Reinhardt saw was Emilia’s sigil. I only watched the anime so idk if I am missing something there.
