I've been to Kenya 3 times and was filming the airport as an avgeek. They stopped me and they asked me for money typical bribe in Kenya. A lady even followed me from the check-in desk all the way to the jetbridge where I was boarding an Etihad A330 in 2018 and even more recently in Feb 2023 i flew on emirates and security followed me from the bus gate until I left the teriminal bribing me and threatening i'll have to return to Dubai if you don't give him money (even the police agreed on this). Sorry for your experience Dan what an insane story... I'm not suprised though in kenya the police / security do that to foreigners in most they cases they just want money. Sounds like typical Kenya to me.

Omg, Heelys were THE BEST shoes ever as a kid. But you had to walk on your tippy toes, because walking normally would make a clacking sound as if you were walking on high heels 😂 Also, the smallest stone would send you flying

Verrry happy Dan survived Nairobi. That is a harrowing experience! Doesn’t Dan also have a US Passport? Would that have been helpful if an embassy had to be called? Also, SAIA investment in Heathrow might be most notable because Qatar Investment Authority has a 20% LHR stake and could have vetoed the Saudi stake!
