Why is SCROLL SPEED important??

The scroll speed setting can affect sonar images even in AUTO!! There are times when GPS signal isn't available. For those times know how to set your fish finder or chart plotter settings manually. Demonstrated on a Garmin ECHOMAP UHD series chart plotter.

I learned; when trolling at 1 mph, I set SS to 2. Very accurate. Stationary, I just use traditional. When side scanning, moving roughly 2.65 mph, I set SS to 8 and it is very accurate.

I have a 126 and a 106 network together and when I turn one on or off it does the same thing to the other unit can I change this to so I can turn each unit on or off independently??

Hmmm mine are able to work independently. Do you have a transducer plugged into each unit or just one transducer? Take a look at the settings in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGWTmZd4bblqsNk

Excuse my ignorance, I’m new to fish finders. I put a garmin echomap plus 93sv on the bow, and mounted the GT 52 on my trolling motor. I have all the settings set to your excel sheet. So if I’m looking at traditional or clear vu, how do I determine how far out in front of the boat it’s looking?

Clear vu your pretty much seeing directly under the trolling motor, traditional depends on the depth of the water, if you turn on your “A-scope” in the bottom right it gives you the cone diameter based on cone angle and depth, this video may help explain. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5mVl4Wca75gjZo

can you tell me the difference in the 93SV and the 93SV UHD? also can they be linked together ? I have a the 93SV and live scope on the bow and have been thinking about adding another Garmin to my console.

I did the same thing you are talking about, I have the original 93SV plus on the bow and a 93SV UHD on the console and they network together just fine. When they came out with the GT54 transducer years back they labeled it “UHD”. There are probably some graphics and processor differences but I could read the GT54 transducer picture via network just fine on the original 93SV plus. I never tried connecting a GT transducer directly to it. Sounds like another 93SV UHD would work well for you👍🏼

Set at “1” if your stationary, if you have GPS signal “auto” setting should take care of it for you. Thanks for watching Charlie!!

I don’t have an inside track to that information so I really don’t know. Last year the 106SV didn’t go on sale until early spring. That’s when I got mine. Thanks for your continued support!!
