So, I've heard that story of the couple and their missing time, but this is the first time that I've heard about the damage to their vehicle. The strange thing to me is that I had a similar experience. The main difference is that my missing time ended in the hospital. My wife and I were rear-ended on a major highway around a major city in Canada. It seems clear to me that they were rear-ended, but didn't get medical attention. It's possible that the people who rear-ended them fled the scene and just never fessed up to it. Their memory loss is due to the concussions from the accident. It is likely really that simple. Why has that never been suggested on anything I've watched before? Thanks Today I Found Out! Love your channel and I'm always recommending it to others.

The reason you didn't hear of extraterrestrials, UFOs, or abductions in the past is due to fear of ridicule. My grandparents witnessed a close encounter with a UFO and my mom was in the car with them when it happened. My mom came clean to me one day when we were talking about UFOs, but my grandparents never said a word about the event to anyone. I suspect it was due to fear of ridicule. In modern times, a lot of people just don't care if they're mocked or made fun of, so they speak their minds more often than not. Thanks to the internet and the semi-anonymity it brings, people who have witnessed stuff are much more likely to spill the beans. Humans have been seeing UFOs for all of their history, and there have been close encounters throughout history. Kind of similar to how so many are thinking that autism has become a major problem and that it didn't use to exist. The reality is that autism has been around for the entire history of humans. We have just become a lot better at diagnosing it. Same with homosexuality. There are people who genuinely think that homosexuality being "so rampant" is a "modern problem". No, throughout history homosexuals have existed, but due to real danger to them, most kept it to themselves and pretended to be straight. Society didn't magically get more homosexuals over the past few decades, they just stopped hiding who they were. Extraterrestrials have not been hanging around or abducting people more over the past century, we have just started paying more attention and speaking up about our encounters and experiences.
@hydrolito
@hydrolito 2 жыл бұрын
Extraterrestrials were common in the past description of things. Angels came down from heaven which is the sky, Lucifer was brought down from the sky, Asgardians were supposed to travel the cosmos on the rainbow bridge, New Jerusalem in final book of the bible is a giant cube in space, where they travel to a new heaven and new Earth. A god supposedly drove a sun chariot what we might now call a star ship.

Then how come we can't find them? Any species advanced enough to have interstellar space craft, especially for repeated visits over thousands of years, is advanced enough to have built megastructures in their own system, such as Dyson Swarms. If they have FTL travel they should have pretty much colonized the entire galaxy by now and whether they existed or not wouldn't even be a question. Have you noticed that since everyone has started carrying a camera in their pocket UFO sightings have gone down?

@@Wolverinefan616 it’s extremely unlikely they could invent a form of travel they gets to other systems quickly by accident. However, your point is a good one. Aliens are alien. Humans are one of only a handful of species on earth who "clothe" themselves, and we initially did that for protection from cold and injuries. While in the Army, one job I had was with satellites. When launching a new one and putting it through some tests, we had people from Lockhead Martin at our site. I got to talking to this older man who had worked there a long time. He had worked on making the SR71 and it was interesting hear him talk about it. He basically talked about how advanced the plane was, that he thought he was a smart man, but some of the stuff that went into it blew his mind and had no idea how people figured these things out. Some of the stuff he saw how it worked, was explained why, but was still little confused why it did, like almost like it was made by a wizard. The plane was just so far ahead of its time and that we still don't know the limits of what it can do. Interesting man.

Whenever the military shows the public “new” tech it’s already 20-25 years old. It explains all the “triangle shaped UFOs” people were seeing at the time. We can’t imagine what they are working on now.

He lives i believe in the US. Maybe im wrong, but brits due to the albeit not obvious but still extant similarity of brittish and american accent spectrums, do when living among yanks and the plethora of othet accents in the US, experience a gradual shift in their accents. A good example of this is Hugu Laurie who is brittish, he played the titular character in House MD. He used an affected accent for that role and in addition to the character Chase, an aussie, played by i believe an actual aussie, one of the main cameramen was also from down under. He remarked that consistently keeping a consistent accent was sometimes difficult hearing not one but two peoples regularly talk in an accent thar while different than his was miles closer to it that anyone elses including the character he was playing. I said all of that to say this, its not uncommon to find in brits living abroad particularly ones whose profession requires them to sort of modulate their accents and pronunciations, and when heard by those who live with and among the accent, or those who are very familiar with it a certain 'fake' quality to their accent. Theres a certain over lap between a brittish guy trying poorly to sound more American and an american trying sound brittish.

I fear he is not doing this volentarily, I imagine balaclava wearing maniacs behind the camera holding his family hostage. We need a free the Simon kickstarter campaign. Even more worrying to think of is the theory that the Simon is stuck in some groundhog day like time glitch forever to sit in a tiny studio endlessly churning out interesting facts for us unknowing fools!! I am a child of Groom Lake (aka Area 51). From the 1980's to the 90's. Bob Lazar is a joke. He wanted his 15 mins of fame and got it. One of the biggest things that points out Bob is full of it? The badge he presented. No badge at Area 51(which covers more than just Groom Lake) has a picture of you on your badge. At Area 51 you are a number and nothing more. The card (badge) you are handed operates like a hotel key card. It has a strip on the back that allows you in to certain areas at Groom Lake Groom Lake has never been a secret. You can find newspapers reporting on everything being done when it was first being erected. Back then it was called Paradise Ranch. One of the reason for this name? Because the company (Skunkworks) wanted it to sound enticing to get people to work there. Paradise Ranch was created to test the U2 from an old military base no longer being used. Later it would help back engineer alien aircraft, alien here meaning Russian. In fact, the 4 big hangers at the North end of the base are called Red Hats. The Red Hats is the name for Russian military aircraft we picked up due to the help of deserters. This information went on to help understand the Russians radar systems to make sure our aircraft would not be shoot down. As for families being forbidden to discuss the operations at the base, well it only works for so long. Spies amongst the mist. Groom Lake has housing and bars. On your time off people would go to the bar to relax. While people would drink, some getting drunk. These certain people would sit down with you and have a conversation. The basic conversation would roll over to what it is your are working on. If you told and the spy reported you, you would be reprimanded.

. The Dollar shave club website and this KZbinr doesn't say how much it costs for regular blade shipments. He says "regular price", that they won't tell you that price and it can't be found on their website, is suspicious. Generally buying a safety blade is cheaper and more environmentally friendly too. Also It requires a little learning how to use it but once you do, it works fine and is so much cheaper. Like I got 100 blades for $10, that's 10 cents a blade. You might also buy a shaving brush and cream (you dip the brush into the cream which is is more solid like a soap and apply to your face) it's also cheaper long term and more environmentally friendly than the aerosol stuff and it seems to work better.

I'm 69 and still use an old fashion double edge razor. Blades are cheaper and they last longer because they don't clog up like the 3, 5, 6 bladed razors.
@firstlast-cs6eg
@firstlast-cs6eg 5 жыл бұрын
@@AFmedic Yeah, the double edged is what I use too. But I'm told the single edged last longer to compensate for their single edge, requires a slightly different way of shaving I think? Generally double is cheaper because it's more common. Double edged is not double blade, the edges are on either side. So either way your dealing with one blade edge as you shave, which allows you to deal with the contours of say a face or whatever easier. With these razor blade faces, not only are they impossible to clean out and fully dry before you need to use it again but they got this wide bed filled with many razors which means it doesn't contour well since the shaving face is so wide. Companies that sell shaving heads will advertise about flexibility in these shaving heads where the blades can move independent of one another, but that's not an issue with a single blade edge (with either type of product the blade itself won't flex much, nor do you want it to)
@AFmedic
@AFmedic 5 жыл бұрын
@@firstlast-cs6eg - Yes! With the double edge, if you notice a little build up you can take the blade out and wipe it on a towel and you can even flip the blade over. EDIT: the wide attention is what I am talking about. There are earlier sources which did not capture the wider appeal until said events took place. Note how the typical alien now is "the grey". This only happened after the movie Close Encounters. That movie basically started the "modern" (post 1960s "spacemen from Uranus & Neptune" who looked like humans) abduction and alien looks we see in the delusions of abduction cases. That combined with sleep paralysis. :( For some people the hallucinations seem real enough that they believe it to be aliens. Some are out to make a buck or have 15 mins of fame. Some others are manipulated by shrinks and other hucksters who take advantage of people who won't see a medical or mental health professional. :(

17:05 Eyes are really only useful when there's sufficient light. Most stars in the universe are not like our bright yellow sun; they're normally dim and on the redder end of the spectrum. There's been quite a few speculative biologists and artists who have developed whole planetary ecosystems where the more complex life is completely dependent on things like echolocation, because sight would be nearly useless with a dim red star. Wayne D. Barlowe's Expedition is a good example of this.

Glad you mentioned the movies that were made with big-head "gray" aliens, but you could have gone back MUCH farther. The first one I am aware of was The Man From Planet X. (1951) That one was a dead-ringer for a Budd Hopkins "gray." But the same look was used in Star Trek in the 1960s. It was an easy make-up job to do. Just make a big dome out of papier mache and stick it on the actor's head. Budd Hopkins was the writer who started people thinking that there really were big-headed aliens. The fact that all those old movies and TV shows were in the public consciousness made it an easier sell. The whole UFO thing is a 20th century myth.

I've often considered 'alien encounters' as people who have experienced an electrical shock/mental trauma - and are recounting an exaggeration of very early life memories. When we are babies, we are short-sighted and see in black and white, so that would explain 'the greys' skin tone. Eyes would be a key feature for most babies, so these will be exaggerated in importance and thus out of all proportion to other facial features in those early weeks, explaining why they appear as such a dominant feature on an alien. Often, alien hands are described as being long - hands being another feature which a baby would experience most as parents reach to pick it up, feed, clean and change it (just imagine how large they would appear from a short-sighted baby's perspective). The alien 'obsession' with the anal region is merely memory of baby regularly requiring cleaning and checking. Otherwise, why would alien beings (or their robotic representatives) be particularly interested in taking samples from the anal region of humans, or indeed any animal (since cows are also a favourite abductee?) We modern humans have much more sophisticated and less invasive means of collecting DNA samples already, and we're nowhere near guiding spaceships across the galaxy to another inhabited star system (that ability is at the least several decades away, perhaps centuries away). Anal probing seems all rather primitive for a technologically advanced species.

And seeing the extremely negative effects of the resultant PTSD of remembering his very traumatic EXPERIENCE To date from my fallable memory 80 000 "varified" Meaning credible testimony from reliable witnesses or experiencers of abduction or a UFO encounter from all over the world from every creed culture & religion. (This is a repost of a comment I had to bring up.) Oh Simon I'm so disappointed in you. I understand your a skeptic, hey I'm a skeptic I'm going to be as scientific as possible when looking into fantastic things. You swept right over the fact that Bob Lazar is in different phone directories as well as newsletters for the schools he "claimed" to attend. Its obvious that his name has been drug through the shit. I dont even know how to proceed. I love 99.9% of your content but for you to glance over straight up facts is bothersome. If your not a part of the disclosure of all things the elite try so hard to hide, then your part of the disinformation. He brought up element 115 how many years before the world recognized it to be real. What theories in physics that he has mentioned he believes to be true have been absolutely proven false? Simon please you have to update this video after some true research. I'm so sad every other topic you cover you obviously to the research but it's just as obvious you only looked into the skeptical point of view leading up to this video. I respected you so much, I still do but I cant trust you now. The US Gov has acknowledged many things the last few years I never thought they would. I'm devastated about this, I dont want to unsubscribe. Please I will even send you truly critical info on this matter.

2:32 For the life of me I can't think offhand of any Doctor Who story which features little green men. Granted the classic series alone contains 160 stories (including the cancelled Shada and the 1996 TV movie) and there has now been 15 years of the new series but I'm still struggling to recall any alien race that matches that description. In fact the most obvious manifestation of an extraterrestrial in Doctor Who is an alien who looks basically like an Earth human but files around in a police box and is generally as mad as a hatter, namely the Doctor himself/herself.

Think about this one, when we humans go out in to the wilderness to tag a bear in a helicopter, wouldn’t that bear’s account of what happened mostly be the same as a UFO abduction story? P.S. Fires in the sky also implied that the classic Roswell gray may be their version of a space suit. But I still like the line from the movie Paul: “What do you think we are doing, harvesting farts?”

Hi Simon, I've been a big fan of yours for a very long time. Very insightful, well researched and well presented information, it's like a drug to me:) I'm writing this comment before having watched the video just because the title seemed a bit off to me, it suggests that there is no validity to the claims of anyone who says they've had contact with ET's, and that the abduction phenomenon is to be taken seriously only as a result of some kind of trickery of the human psyche straight off the bat. Doesn't seem very impartial right from the get go, anyway, gonna check out the vid now:)

Literal little green men and also anal probing are pretty much 'parody canon'. Even in fiction they are nearly never used in serious works. But somehow they have become well-understood references commonly used in parodies, even though they aren't parodies of anything.
@erikjarandson5458
@erikjarandson5458 5 жыл бұрын
@@frankbruder3097 Literal green men are absent from alien abduction stories. In fact, colors of any kind tend to be absent. It all seems to happen in gray-scale. I suspect that there's a connection between that, and the fact that research shows that dreams are usually in black&white. At the same time, green is a pop-culture cliché. Gray is a nice, neutral color. It's also become the most-reported color, making it the prime candidate for hallucinations and dreams, and also the more believable story. The abduction stories are quite obviously the same phenomenon as the etymological origin of "nightmare" -- a mare (type of female demon) that would come in the night and do terrible things. Around the same time, people were also abducted by witches, faeries, other types of demons, and all sorts of other creatures. What all of these creatures had in common was severe sexual perversions, and body cavities and sexual organs were subjected to all sorts of things. Abduction stories are full of all sorts of body cavity examination, and incessant fiddling with the abductee's genitals. Sadistic surgeries of various sorts are also popular features, often performed for no discernible reason, other than to look inside. It's almost as if the aliens don't have any scanning technology, and haven't developed minimally intrusive surgery techniques. The poor things are a bit backwards, I'm afraid, and in a weirdly selective way. Cross the chasm between stars, yes. Develop x-ray technology, no. That's just too damn complicated... It's also weird that the aliens haven't figured out that simple sedation is a foolproof way of preventing people from having memories of abductions. Instead, they keep trying memory wiping, and it never fucking works. They should abduct a human field zoologist, and ask for advice. I guess they haven't found a zoologist that's mentally fragile enough for their taste.

I've been absolutely terrified of greys ever since I was little. I loved everything about aliens and abduction and such but the more I learned, the more shitless I was scared. I used to watch this show called Sightings that was sort of like unsolved mysteries, but about paranormal stuff. I'll never forget the episode where they showed the MacPhearson tape, which supposedly shows a family celebtrating a birthday when they see a bright light in the woods. They approach the craft and you can see figures walking around it in the dark. Then at some point they're back in their home and the aliens were trying to get in. At the end it shows a really clear shot of one of the aliens walking through the house. I know it's fake now, but the thought of it scares me so much, I have goosebumps just from typing this. I'm pretty sure the video's up on KZbin somewhere, but it's been found to be a hoax.

Unfortunately the Betty and Barney Hill incident has since been discredited, after among other things, serious UFO researchers who spent considerable time with her said that she couldn't tell a UFO from a street light. And the grey alien described by Barney Hill under hypnosis matched the one that appeared only two weeks before on 'The Bellero Shield' episode of the Outer Limits tv show.

@@youngknowledgeseeker oh how I wish I had the time and energy to respond to your question properly. I'm exhausted and I was just about to find a white noise video to sleep to when I noticed your comment. I'll try to respond anyway. Hopefully it won't be confusing for you....(note: I was 14 at the time. 37 now) My experience was extremely limited. They must have blocked parts of it from my memory or it was just like with a wild animal. Where an animal gets tranquilized. The animal will remember getting taken, everything going blank from the tranq and then waking back up in its habitat. I don't like telling people the very beginning of my experience because then they just say it was all a dream but I assure you that it was not.. okay.. so.... I wake up in bed. I'm feeling very weird but in a good way. I get this feeling to walk to the bathroom, even though I didn't need to go in there. While walking to the bathroom, I thought to myself ,why am I going in here. That's when these words enter my mind (Because we are here). I thought, oh 💩! Things are about to get weird. I was feeling very euphoric and just very happy. It was something in a way that I had never felt before or since. I have no idea why but I went ahead and opened the door to the bathroom. Inside was a little gray alien. Looked just like skinny Bob but with short stubby fingers and more of a potbelly. Instantly I felt frightened but it lasted maybe 1 full second before I was taken over with this feeling of love and kindness. So I didn't try and run. While looking at this thing, I thought to myself it looked kinda cute (like a puppy or kitten cute). It cracked a little smile like it was blushing. That smile made me realize it could read my mind because it reacted exactly in time with my thought. This made me feel very uncomfortable. The euphoric feeling started to wash away and replaced with fear. I was about to turn and run screaming for my parents, when a light beamed into the room from outside. I could see the light beam through the window, above my toilet and inside of the light was this human looking boy. (White dirty blonde hair. I can't remember eye color. I think plain clothes like a white tshirt and khaki pants but I honestly can't remember the clothing). This boy looked like he was riding the light as if it were an escalator. He passed right through the wall and ended up just standing right next to me. Seeing what I thought was another human, roughly my age, I felt calm again. I turned and looked at the alien, that was literally maybe 10 inches from me. I happened to look it dead in its left eye and for some reason I became absolutely mesmerized. Everything seemed so wonderful and beautiful. Like life was this wonderful adventure. I would give anything to feel that exact feeling again. I snapped out of it and then I turned back towards the boy. Inside of my head, I hear the words (come with us). It felt exactly like the other words that were telepathically communicated to me. So I have no idea if telepathy sounds the same no matter who is doing it or if just one of them was speaking to me. I always just assumed the alien said because we are here and the boy said come with us. 🤷‍♂️... I do not feel like I was in control of my response but I said okay. I wish I could remember if I said okay outloud or if I just thought it, knowing that they could read my mind. Then I noticed this light powering up outside the window. It was the single most badass looking thing I have ever seen. I wish I could explain it. Well, the light came in and it hit me. I could feel this very strong energy around my body. Especially around my chest. Then I felt this tug. Like I was about to get sucked up through a straw. I felt myself moving forward about 1 or 2 inches and everything went black. The next thing I knew, I felt myself bounce onto my bed. My eyes opened wide. I tried screaming for help but nothing came out. I was paralyzed for several minutes. I was finally able to roll myself out of bed. I hit the floor pretty hard because my body was basically a wet noodle. I soldier crawled my way to my older brothers room. I struggled to knock on his door. He finally answered but just said leave me alone idiot (or something along those lines 😜). He shut the door in my face before I could even say anything. The second that door shut. I was 100% back to normal. I will never understand why but I just thought, well that was weird and then I just walked back to my room. It was still about 1 hour before my normal bedtime back then but I'm pretty sure I just got ready for bed and went to sleep. It drives me crazy that I can't remember what I was wearing after I bounced into my bed. I remember what I was wearing when they took me though and ironically, I was wearing that same exact t shirt today. Yes, I'm 37 and I still have shirts from when I was 14. Yes they still fit.🤓.... I actually thought the boy was human until 3 years ago when I first learned about the race of aliens that look exactly like we do. I started researching aliens 3 years ago because that was the first time I have ever seen Skinny Bob. Seeing Skinny Bob for the first time had brought back the memory of what happened to me and with all the ufo stuff going on, I've become a little obsessed with learning about it all. I have so many questions because there really was not a great deal of stuff to learn from my experience. Just more questions
