When I was there so many of them were either extremely sick or had open wounds. They are so malnourished (the real reason they swarm you if you bring them food) and rely on tourists for their food or starve, and even then some miss out. It’s often hot and they barely are provided with enough water. I tipped some of my water bottle into a bowl for them and they absolutely swarmed it. Very sad.
