Why Is Valorant Better Than CS:GO?

Art style is not a point for valorant, thats literally just personal preference. Character based play is also personal preference, but in csgo, anyone can play any role at anytime which gives more flexibility. I wont deny that valorant has a easier learning curve but thats just cuz riot always wants to lower the skill ceiling for example rifles have a RNG spray pattern which makes it worse for people with a spraying playstyle. The lack of abilities in CS also makes map theory important (reading your opponents and which site they might hit based on map info), rather than in Val u can just have a cypher trip safely hold an entire chokepoint for you. Maps in CS are also more diverse. You have nuke and vertigo which are 2 very innovative maps with different floors and lots of verticality. Actove Val maps are all flat and rely on the 4 square layout with the exception of Lotus, but then u basically missing a middle 90% of gamemodes in Val cater towards playing comp and are almost the same as unrated. The exception is escalation like you mentioned, but CS has Arms Race (u didnt even compare those 2) CS also has community servers where u can bhop, surf, and kz. All completely different gamemodes which differ from comp gameplay, yet can help you learn small movement tips for comp. (also jailbreak, zombie escape, custom fun multigame maps) I guess val gets a point for community updates tho, CS in comparison is like a neglected child. And also if you want an easy point, you could just mention the anti-cheat and matchmaking system. The fact that u didnt immediately mention those makes me think you haven't played a lot of CS yourself, not enough to make a comparison

@@Zarathustr cs easier to learn, higher skill ceiling, tapping in Val only encourages one playstyle, cs literally has more game modes for casuals, cs map layouts are more interesting. Making “reads” in cs based on map knowledge is important but in Val, one cypher trip can hold an entire choke point or one sova dart can re-clear mid easily

If he wanted an easy point for Val, he should’ve mentioned anti cheat but he didn’t , so I’m guessing he hasn’t played much of counterstrike at all

You need to understand Cs2 and Val are doing everything right. Take Cod warzone or Cod mobile, their game is based on a military theme but has gun skins like Valorant or Fortnite, which is everything that is wrong with that game. Both games cater to different crowds... i am a valorant player but i enjoy Cs2 as well.. cs2 has a higher aim skill requirement, harder strafe mechanics while Val requires the mastery of each agents.. this makes every game different in Val because of agent combination in both teams. Cs2 has repetitive rounds in low Elo ranks because they just learn a few lineups and repeat them every round. Cs2 has Bhops which no doubt requires more skill than any mechanic in Val.. infact the bhop is basically like playing as Neon as an agent. Weapon Skins and art styles are more of a preference.. tbh i like them both, cs2 has real guns with static skins while Val has their own guns and dynamic skins. Each suit their game art style perfectly. If anything i think both communities need to play both games, i switch it up... they're the same at the core yet vastly different games.

The amount of random bullshit happening without any counterplay available in Valorant is crazy. I'm d3 100 hours but a veteran CS player. I just lose my shit when some bot manages to kill me by the use of abilities and most times feels like unfair. The possibility to solo carry games in valorant is highly limited where as in cs it is possible. Every valorant player has the same shit slow movement that limits mechanical skill. I think Valorant is just an uphill battle but I think it's fun secondary game to cs and at times more fun. But if I had to choose one game it's definitely cs and that game is much more competitive with higher skill ceiling and feels like you are actually rewarded for your effort. As to in valorant with slow movement and randomised gun sprays you can be as good as you were 6 months ago if you didn't play. And why the fuck they made AK (vandal) impossible to spray with? Like just make spraying with vandal possible and make it the only riffle on attack, and make phantom only riffle on defence and keep it the same.

If I was able to be valorant game dev I would make it more like cs and it would be a more relevant competitor to CS and achieve way more players. And no one cares about valorants casual players they don't need to be rewarded by offering low-skill ceiling. In fact, they should just quit if someone happens to be better and it should be more possible to stand out as a player with mechanical skill. Just dumb competitive fps game concept that you can't stand out with mechanical skill. Even ScreaM played cs a bit and had to quit because he liked it way more than Valorant and couldn't thus afford to get used to the superior game.
