The more I revisit Jerec, the more I think he could be adapted into Canon, especially if he was shown to be working with Palpatine and Gallius Rax on the emperor's pet projects. A similar Canon defeat by Kyle Katarn could also lead a weakened Palpatine to create Snoke as a replacement proxy. It also makes sense that Palpatine would have his own dark side adepts separate from Vader's Inquisitorius both working for his goals and as an insurance policy.

Jerec is such an underrated Star Wars villain. My favorite villain from the Jedi Knight games. If Jerec is brought into Modern Canon, he would make an excellent successor to the Grand Inquisitor, and would be part of the Shadow Council as a Mandoverse villain. Moff Gideon would probably have tried to race Jerec to the Valley of the Jedi.

Interestingly, Jerec's species, the Miraluka, were themselves nearly exterminated by the Sith as a result of a preceding Jedi Purge, when Darth Nihilus drained the Miraluka world of Katarr of life, after a significant number of Jedi had gathered there. In the aftermath, he took as his apprentice the sole Miraluka survivor, Visas Marr, whose embrace of the Light side after having been trained by the Sith Lord mirrors Jerec's Jedi training, and subsequent fall to the Dark Side.
@TheKingofbrooklin9 ай бұрын
What happened 4000 years ago to a Miraluka would not matter much for Jerec. Also him being a Miraluka was kind of a retcon which was added after his first appearance in Dark Forces.

Jerec was one of the most powerful Dark Jedi ever in Star Wars pop culture, I like him just as much as Darth Maul, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. So, sad Disney has zero plans to ever bring him back to the Star Wars brand today because of course to them, he's not considered canon so they hate everything about the George Lucas era of Star Wars and that's why Kathleen Kennedy is re-writing Star Wars from scratch with her own vision of the Star Wars brand, she hates the OG fanbase very much to this very day.

I don't think Jerec ever will be introduced in Canon. In canon he would be rather killed than become an inquisitor, because his ambition can only match the Emperor's. And while Sith value competitiveness in the ranks of their minions, that does not mean they like and approve of someone challenging their rule.
