As a Chinese who understands Cantonese, I can say that 90% of the curses in it involves ur sisters, brothers, cousins, friends, teachers, dogs, cats, and ESPECIALLY ur mother and father. Basically everyone that u care about. Also, around 18 generations of ur ancestors would be casually involved in the cursing. Why only 18? U may ask. Becuz if u go any further, it would probably involves the ancestors of the one who curses, since we Chinese are technically related at some point.

Japan, Korea and Vietnam are collectively called the Sinosphere. Japanese culture is a replica of the Chinese Tang Dynasty. Google search for “Japanese missions to imperial China” and “Japanese missions to Tang Dynasty”. Hiragana is cursive Chinese. Katakana is partial Chinese. Kanji is Hanzi, or Han Chinese characters named after the Han Dynasty of China. Cantonese is more phonetically closer to Japanese onyomi (Chinese pronunciations of Hanzi) because both descended from Middle Chinese spoken during the Tang Dynasty. Google search for “hiragana origin chart”, “katakana origin chart”.

@RomeHero12411

@@seabbIt means "fk (diu) your (lei) mother (lo mo)". I think it is like what people say " fk" which can apply to different circumstances as self-expression aside from cussing others, depending on the tone people say it, such as being surprised, sad or/and angry (like in the exam case mentioned above)

Hâhahh in my college days , i studied abroad so i met few cantonese friends, and the thing with cantonese boys they have such deep voice, and when they speaks i was like woo sounds sexy, but i keep hearing those words over and over again and later they taught me I realized its all cuss words. How ?!? how do you make it sound so nonchalant and sexy, even when they cuss their expression still so chill 😂

yes, cantonese have the best way to cuss n scold ppl. i never forget when i was in universal studio spore. these group of grown men cut right in front of me, i told them not to cut the queue but they ignored me. The lady behind me (cantonese) start scolding them and cussing at them w english mixed w cantonese. at that moment, i saw fear in those grown men eyes 😆😆😆 thnx to her those men moved to the back of the line.

Fav thing I love abt cantonese is how even in casual small talks and chats, they will always be a cuss word or two, unless it’s like a formal chat.
