I wonder if Jin ever saw that day his silly Super Tuna song would one day get a Jazz musician breaking it down transcribing it and analyzing it so closely 🤭 all these guys do is bring joy I swear
@jadaveg2 жыл бұрын
Ha you’re right, it starts with what sounds like a Carnival game but more specifically sounds you’d associate with when you win. Like right from the beginning you feel like you’re winning and then you’re cheering for a fish like it’s the most natural next thing to do.

This was an interesting analysis. Super Tuna is in the Trot genre of Korean music. It can be interesting to look at some of the Korean genres of music that the west may not be aware of and this song is a good example of a style of music that is easily recognizable in Korea but not to others.

Let us give Jin our full support for THE ASTRONAUT by doing as much streaming as we can from all platforms. Take note not to do loops but instead insert 2-3 songs or videos in between THE ASTRONAUT (preferably short ones and those of Jin songs) which should be different. Let us focus on Jin and try our best especially for the first 24 hours so he makes it to the BILLBOARD charts. We can do this. Fighting! And stream from BANGTANTV or HYBE only

Loving this series so MUCH! So here's a recommendation for the next breakdown: Jamais vu The reason I'm suggesting this is because in this breakdown you spoke about predictably that keeps you hooked, with Jamais vu I wanna see your analysis on how many sudden changes happen within the song & how that unpredictability(atleast to me) keeps the listener engaged!

Andrew, I’d be interested in your thoughts about how this song pulls from Korean trot music. In a way I feel like it makes it a distinctly Korean pop song.
@AndrewBergSax2 жыл бұрын
To be completely honest, I think I have only heard the term "trot" a couple times before and I didn't know what it meant until reading some of the comments here. I would have to do some research into the term before I'd be able to really dive into that. Thanks for the suggestion!
@jillgoth72992 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewBergSax It seems that trot is a very specific Korean sounding genre. Jin has said he likes trot music. Some younger Koreans will equate it with the older generation. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts.
