Yeah, but are you putting out great music that people will always remember years from now? A lot of artists aren't trying to establish a image, longevity, and a bond with a broad range of ages with their music. All 3 have to be done.

@@OfficialBRBTV the Blame should go with the mainstream music industry, for shutting down specialist divisions who employed skilled A&Rs that knew how to work with all kinds of talent and get the best of them. How to style them, the right songs to sing, the best producers and songwriters, glossy music videos, the right TV shows and tours to place them on and advertising them. When all this murderous music was being made times were good. Times are now very bad and music is your escape. So that means these guys without a creative bone in their body are going to have to create something to reflect the subconscious need for people to feel good again. They silenced videos and even had their representatives make sure that their music wasn't played in the background of different stores. Now all of a sudden that they've been losing money due to their own business tactics, NOW they come out with a licensing platform? You gotta be kidding me.

Bro, I’m a film maker and I’d love for you to dig into that as well. Because being a indie filmmaker we are going through the same. The movie industry is dying. Movies get made and stay in the theater for like 10 days get license by streamers for one payment and that’s it. The studio get paid and no one else once it hits streaming. We can’t really get investments anymore. It’s harder to get on streaming. Harder to break into the industry. Known actors and directors aren’t even eating like they use to because streaming is taking up everything. But on the flip streaming networks are going broke. Wb merged with discovery because they were going broke. Disney is going broke trying to make Disney plus work. Movie theaters are going broke and about to shut down because they have to charge more money because these majors aren’t making movies people want to see so people are seeing movies like they use to. Sigh Streaming has ruined movies and music. I honestly can say physical media coming back would fix so much!

I think the issue is a bigger, and this will become more clear as time goes on, because CREATIVES are forced to become a jack of all trades due to AI. Producers used to compete with producers. Rappers used to compete with rappers. Writers were hired based on their writing skills. Now, everyone is in competition with each other, because everyone has the same tools available. On top of that, I've read Spotify is gearing up for AI voice models of famous artists to be made available so people can make their own music using the artist voice, who will receive their percentage for the amount of users, and streams made through that. And im sure that's just scratching the surface. These corporations have the next 50 years planned out already, so everyone better get ready to adapt to a new world.

Thank you. I don’t get how everyone is being so naive about this. All you hear is ( People will began to want human touch ) that would be true in the world of today. But this technology is not the same as any bit of technology of before. It will change everything (innovative) and (creative). We have wonderful artist in todays world even with the industry being what it is. But the truth is….. we cannot compete.

The end game for entertainment and ALL industries is use strictly AI to replace humans. AI can't argue back and follows ALL orders AI doesn't get in legal or criminal issues or demand more money or sue AI can work 24/7 and not take days off AI can make infinite versions and music non stop and adjust to new trends and analytics that are fed to it. AI doesn't need a team to prop up or promote the artist. Etc. etc. The irony is the more artists and people demand more rights and money, the more it's convincing these companies to go to AI. Its inevitable.

I remember a little over a year ago capitol records signed their first A.I. artist FN Meeka and it was met with backlash, these records labels saw that they going to try that but next the A.I. artist is going to be so realistic looking you wouldn’t be able to tell blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

to be fair as well FN Meeka portrayed quiet controversial police brutality images and language that was meant to "imitate" rappers. It's a very ugly and racist image for a record label to stereotype hiphop into an AI. If they create a more digestable persona with better music, most of the public won't tell a difference

Bottom line.. The music industry began it's down turn once they made the cd burner available to the consumer. It just took awhile to catch up, but all the companies with Apple leading the way followed by spotify and a number of other online stores such as bandcamp all play a huge roll in the demise of the industry. Throw in all the digital technology for dj's who could never dj when it was only vinyl and you have yourself a collapse that you will never recover from. I am a victim of it and witnessed it first hand while working for 8yrs at the world renown Hit Factory Recording Studios in NYC. I was there until they closed it's doors and turned all those wonderful recording and mastering rooms into condos. It has since resurfaced in soho neighborhood, but it's nowhere near the massiveness that it was. It would be nice to see it get there one day, but it doesn't look good... Digital has done nothing good for the industry.
